A bit pricer than some other hubs for the steam deck I have seen. Usually the pricer ones have more ports available, but otherwise work the same. You could also use a general usb c hub as the only difference between these types of hubs is they have a stand to sit the steam deck on.
Works as expected with good quality ports and a well finished base. Just a bit pricer than I would like to pay.
The atolla Docking Station for Steam Deck is a great way to connect your Steam Deck to a monitor, Ethernet, and other peripherals. It has a variety of ports, including HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, and 3 USB 3.0 ports. It also has a fast charging USB-C port that can charge your Steam Deck at up to 100W.
The dock is made of high-quality materials and feels very sturdy. It’s also very easy to use. Just connect your Steam Deck to the dock using the included USB-C cable, and then connect your monitor, Ethernet, and other peripherals to the appropriate ports.
I’ve been using the atolla Docking Station for Steam Deck for a few weeks now, and I’m very impressed with it. It’s a great way to connect your Steam Deck to a monitor and other peripherals, and it’s very easy to use. I highly recommend it.
I’ve been using this with a Switch as a secondary dock to save having to unplug and move the main one. The switch is smaller than the steam deck so it fits fine in the stand, it’s stable enough when it’s sitting on there and as there isn’t any cable movement after it’s connected there’s no danger of toppling.
It powers the Switch enough to charge normally and to output to the TV so there’s nothing else it needs to do for the Switch.
With the sale price and the voucher it comes in at around 29 but this seems to change a bit, the lowest I’ve seen it is 28. It’s a cheaper alternative by a long shot than getting a second switch dock and I’d recommend it for a second room.
This is a great docking station.
Light but quite robust and well made.
It does what I need and all the ports feel secure and of good quality.
I’m happy to recommend.
This dock has some weight to it which meant it was stable of the the tv unit. The number of ports it provides is perfect for all uses including use of gigabit ethernet, HDMI and also USB keyboards, mice or expansions.
The connectors are great, the cable is also nicely braided and the unit itself really compliments the look of the Steam Deck.
Would recommend as great value for mine and nice dock as lightweight and versatile
Good little all in one dock.
– ethernet @ 1000Mbps
– 3 x USB 3.0
– HDMI
– USB C for power in
all packed in aluminium body and non slip holder for your device- would be nice if this is tiltable.
Solid built and pretty stable, sits nicely next to your display – either for gaming or work.
Fast and stable ethernet cable, hence smooth and continuous game play or work.
In line with similar product @ under 29 with voucher.
The Steam Deck hub reviewed here is a high-quality and versatile option that functions as a USB-C hub with an integrated, padded stand to protect your device. It offers a comprehensive array of features, including 4K@60Hz HDMI, 100W PD, 1G Ethernet, and three USB 3.1 Gen1 5Gbps ports.
In terms of performance, the USB 3.1 Gen 1 5Gbps ports delivered great read/write speeds when tested with an NVMe drive, which is consistent with other hubs on the market.
The build quality is good, the stand holds the device securely, and the connecting cable is sturdy. While this is designed as a hub for the Steam Deck, it could also be used as a regular USB-C hub.
Overall, this dock performed well, looked good, and is reasonably priced. Happy to recommend it.
I really like the styling of this hub / docking station, extremely impressed by the non slip feet on the base. When place on a smooth surface, it really doesn’t want to slide anywhere.
It has all the ports that you realistically might need for a docking hub for your Steam Deck, a Gigabit Lan port, 3 USB 3.0 ports and a decent HDMI output. Finally, it has a 100W fast charging PD port. This sort of specification is fairly standard for a Steam Deck hub, the price and styling win my vote.
It is a good dock for all your devices with USB C port – even mobile supporting OTG.
Good nice built with solid Aluminium alloy, and yet light.
Stable hold with good grip at the base and holder.
Just the right fit for portable console, similarly tablet can also rest at the same spot to create dual screen with external display via HDMI.
Charging and ethernet port working great.
Much reasonable with the voucher, making it only 28.
Good quality dock.
Feels quite hefty.
Plenty of sockets.
Good value.
This is a well put together hub for the Steam Deck, which in reality is a USB-C hub with a built-in stand. The stand part is padded to protect the device.
You get a 4K@60Hz HDMI, 100W PD, 1G Ethernet and 3 x USB 3.1 Gen1 5Gbps ports.
I connected it up to a relatively new Window Laptop 11 15.6″, together with a 4K@60Hz Portable Monitor, Ethernet cable, NVME drive in 10Gbps external enclosures, 4Tb One-Touch Drive and a 100W GaN Charger.
With the laptop, the output was 4K@60Hz to the monitor, with the laptop screen at 2880×1800@90Hz. So, no issues there.
Internet speeds were blisteringly fast, with Read/Write speeds hitting around 950Mbps & 52Mbps.
Being USB 3.1 Gen 1 5Gbps ports, Read/Write speeds were around 435MB/s & 434MB/s with the NVMe drive, which is inline with other hubs I’ve tested. The One-Touch was in the region of 117MB/s & 115MB/s. Based on the specs, the max theoretical speeds you could expect are 625MB/s.
Charging the laptop was ok and it was pulling through around 58W, which is what I would expect for my laptop.
Several of the previous ones I have tested have also worked well with my 12.4″ Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus, but due to the way the cradle is on this one, the tablet would not stand up in it. Although all the other connectivity was fine.
Although targeted towards a Steam Deck, this would also made an excellent dock for a laptop, tablet or mobile phone. You can easily switch between a laptop, tablet, phone and/or Steam Deck. The only thing I can’t really comment on here is the medium to long-term reliability. Although the build quality looks ok.
Everything worked ok with this dock and it seems to be priced around the mid-range point.
I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
This 6-in-1 Steam Deck dock is a great hub for a great price. It’s made by Atolla and has USB C Hub with HDMI 4K@60Hz, Gigabit Ethernet and 3 USB 3.0 Ports. It has fast charging and is also compatible with the valve Steam Deck.
The hub has good data transfer speeds as the ports are USB 3 at 5gbps and the fact that it supports gigabit Ethernet with an RJ-45 port is fabulous. It’s so much faster to be wired than use Wi-Fi when you’re gaming!
The hub looks nice too as it is all metal designed, even without the Steam Deck sitting in it! It’s great that it doubles as a stand too. The aluminium alloy finish gives it a very sleek look. It has anti skid silicone pad on the base and another strip along where the back of the Steam Deck rests. The hub has a good weight to it so it feels very stable on the desk. I’m really impressed with the build quality too.
A worthy alternative to the official dock
Atolla gives you a great value, well-made product — and for 35 it is a great, cheap alternative to the official dock. The dock feels high quality, made up of metal and nice rubber to keep the Deck in place.
Ethernet runs at full speed (although it adds more latency than the ethernet on my PC). It charges the Steam Deck at a normal speed with a 45w adapter plugged into the USB-C PD port and the extra USB-A ports seem to be working great. I couldn’t test if the HDMI port worked at 4K 60Hz since I don’t have a monitor with high enough resolution, but I assume it would run at its rated speed. This dock also works fine as a USB hub which I have been using with my PC for about a week.
The atolla Docking Station for Steam Deck is a 6-in-1 docking station that offers versatile expansion options for your gaming setup. With a 1000M Gigabit Ethernet port, 3 USB 3.0 data ports, a 4K@60Hz HDMI port, and a 100W PD charging port, this docking station is the perfect combination for gamers who need extra connectivity. The HDMI port supports 4K resolution, providing a crystal clear visual experience that immerses you in exciting games. The intuitive LED indicators show the working status directly, making it easy to monitor your gaming experience.
The atolla Docking Station is designed to be stable and reliable. The Gigabit Ethernet port supports 1000Mbps networks, ensuring smooth gameplay without any lag. The three high-speed USB 3.0 ports can transfer files quickly at a rate of up to 5Gbps, while the USB-C charging port supports up to 100W Power Delivery with intelligent protection for your devices. The docking station is tailored according to the Steam Deck and won’t block the screen. The durable and wear-resistant alu-alloy housing provides better heat insulation, while the anti-slip pads prevent wobbling or falling. Overall, the atolla Docking Station is a must-have accessory for gamers who want to take their Steam Deck gaming experience to the next level.
This has a little heft to it, which really helps keep it stable on the table. The number of ports and interfaces that this provides is great. allowing for use of gigabit ethernet, HDMI and also USB keyboards, mice or expansions without any fuss.
The connectors are great, the cable is also nicely braided and the unit itself really compliments the look of the Steam Deck.
I’ve tried many of these that are much more expensive and I cannot see any reason why I wouldn’t choose this over any of them if I’m honest.
A tough, high quality and powerful little Docking Station.
Everything you need, top of the range with the most up to date ports and fast charging.
Very very good.
Atolla give you quite a lot bang for your buck with their docking station that’s targeting steam deck but does a good job with other windows based handhelds we have handy as well.
It’s a very handy size – not a perfect fit for the steam deck but I think that’s actually a good thing, as the deck doesn’t feel constricted at all but it doesn’t wobble a load either.
The steam deck’s power outlet does pass through but at a weaker level, which is why I guess the dock supports up to 100w. It also fits the Aya Neo Air perfectly well too, which is really nice.
