Good cleaning agent for you leather car seat. I got white leather seats and it cleans most of the dirt. But hard to remove stain does makes it a bit lighter tho.
Love this so much, makes your leather look like new, my car has done 40k miles and my steering wheel looks and feels brand new just from using this on it, 100% worth the moneu
We have cream leather in the car , this cleans it lovely and keeps it soft . I also use the leather balm to keep it soft and supple. With dogs and grandchildren I give it a quick wipe over weekly.
It Cleans my leather seat very easily and do give a bit shine very nice produc
This is a typical Autoglym product: easy to apply and effective. I was pleased that the cleaner takes shiny and worn leather back to a Matt or satin finish. I recommend following the instructions methodically and checking out YouTube videos made by car detainers.
My steering wheel was looking very shiny so I gave this a go. Took 5 minutes and looks brand new. A nice Matt natural finish. Do not do the mistake that I done and buy this product separately. Buy with the Care Balm to use after you’ve cleaned it to protect from future muck and grease imbedding back i
Bought this as an alternative to the Dr Leather wipes and must say they give better results. I had some light marks on my car seats which were not removed by Dr Leather wipes and assumed they would just not be removable. However using the Autoglym cleaner and microfibre cloth, all marks came off with ease. Definitely would recommend this over any other automotive leather cleaner and leaves a great matte finish.
Nothing to dislike about the product. Good quality, does what it says
Great product, just follow the instructions spray, agitate with a brush and wipe. Voila.
Reduced 1 star – they could have added a brush
I always use Autoglym for washing and cleaning my car I’ve never used the leather cleaner before so wasn’t sure what to expect but I should of known it would be good because the rest of there products for cars are very good and so is the leather cleaner in fact its brilliant really pleased with it . Nice fast service will recommend to friends and family A++++++++
I find with most leather cleaners, they don’t seem to work with just elbow grease, so I used a brush in my drill, carefully and it did the job, the seat did have really ground it dirt and it lifted out well.
I bought this product to use to clean my leather bags. I spray a little bit on a microfibre cloth and gently wipe their bags. I bought it mean for my white bags, but it does work with all of her and I have used it on my air forces and it works very well too. I definitely recommend i
Did the job but took a few go’s. I’ve since used a different product which works bette
Try ones I think is good , not sure because my seat s is pretty new and trying to keep them clean and always like new
It’s good but quite expensive for what it does overall quite pleased
I used this on a 22 year old well used people carrier. The leather seats did come up cleaner, but I feel like just a universal cleaner could of done just a good of job. I rubbed it in with a cloth as instructed but I think you might get better results with a special leather brush.
Used as a general cleaning product before refurbishing black full-leather car seats and inside panels. Product must be neutralised after application a using damp cloth. Washes out of a microfibre cloth easily. A pleasant fresh leather fragrance after application.
Used this first and later neutralised with water. Then a thin metal spatula (like that used for opening mobile phone cases) to spread Scratch Doctor filler very sparingly across the grain of cracks in a leather car seat. Cleared off as much as possible while carefully making sure there was enough of the filler left in the crack to build it up. Use a clean cloth gently to ‘level’ any imperfections and balance the filled areas. Wait for hardening, then buff. Repeat as necessary using very thin layers to build up. Keep the filler as close to the area as possible with as little spreading beyond the cracked area as possible.
Later used Furniture Clinic recolouring balm and spatula to apply colour quite thickly, then used a neutral cotton cloth to spread the recolouring gel balm across the wider area — the whole panel. Work on one specific area/panel at a time. Wait a few minutes before buffing with a microfibre cloth. Leave for a couple of hours and reapply if necessary and rebuff. The surface will change from matt to satin reflection.
Areas where the filler has been used may show a slight dark grey discolouration (from black) even after a couple of colour treatments. Wait about ten minutes after colour re-application, cloth to spread over the area, buff and then leave for a few hours. Use a clean microfibre cloth to buff to make sure no colour is coming off.
Then apply leather care balm area by area using a microfibre cloth. This will lift some of the colour onto the cloth, (keep turning the cloth) buff again after a few minutes and check for colour fastness. It might be sensible to not wear white clothes when seated, at least till the surface becomes colourfast.
Overall, the combination of Autoglym Leather Cleaner, Scratch Doctor filler, Furniture Clinic Recolouring balm and Autoglym Leather Care balm worked well on black leather car seats. Very good at filling in nicks and minor scuffs. For any tears or rips, use Bostick rubberised superglue ( or Bostick instant) to ‘re-lay’ before applying filler and other treatments. There are plenty of videos on the internet to guide on more complicated repairs. The best finish can only be achieved by full refurbishing, using fine (eg 1200 grit) sanding, rigorous time-consuming preparation and spraying the leather with colour-matched paint to restore the original finish. This is something of a specialist art.
While this combination of products is quite expensive (and others were not tried) the results are more than acceptable on older black grained leather seats.
I purchased this Leather Cleaner and Leather Care Balm having had great success with other Autoglym products before. I used this to clean my black leather car seats and although they were not particularly dirty it cleaned away the dust and fluff etc. with very little effort, in preparation for the balm treatment. I have to admit I’m not so impressed with the Leather Care Balm mainly due to its horrible strong smell but that’s another story!
Like most of the other Autoglym products I’ve used before the results are seem very good and didn’t require too much effort. It’s quite a thin and light spray in consistency so I think it will need a fair amount of elbow grease on very dirty leather but for leather that is relatively new and/or clean it seems to work well.
I found I needed to use 2 microfiber cloths with this spray – one to use for applying the spray and cleaning the leather and the second to buff off the leather afterwards.
It looks like lots of other people have had great success using this on cream leather sofas too so I will be using it on that next time it’s due a wipe down.
Pros
– Easy to use with quick results
– Nice fragrance (WAY nicer than the Balm)
– Can be used on leather sofas etc. too
– Should be safer than using household detergents to clean leather
Cons
– Seems like quite a light/thin spray so not sure if it’s the best product for very dirty leathe
