Really like this little kit. Somebody scratched the whole nearside of my car. I used the scratch remover on the deeper scratches, which cleared them without too much effort. The polish finished off the spidery scratches and left the car looking pristine and shiny again.
I liked that you got the scratch remover sponge and a polishing cloth with the kit. Would definitely purchase and use again.
Purchased to undo years of dog and bike related scratches prior to selling. Really impressed with how well it came out! Whilst some scratches were simply made more discreet, overall it has made a big impact in making the vehicle look more “new”.
Good finish – I was worried it might be like T-Cut and make the shine/sparkle go matte but it retained the paintwork finish really well
Read the warning at the bottom too!
I got a door ding on a lease car, which looked like it went all the way to the primer. I tried to polish it out and I used resin but no avail.
This worked perfectly, buffed out extremely well and lease went back with no charge! Result!
WARNING: This is not the best for black paint and stone chips. I polished the bonnet which had about 20 stone chips (tiny tiny chips). They all filled with the white polish and stood out like snow on tarmac. Thankfully no big deal for the lease car but use this very selectively on scratches and not chips.
As you can see from my photos, pretty noticeable scratches and swirls. My paintwork is pearlescent so shows as a glittery black. You can see the pigments of the paintwork used so you know I’m not messing about here. I put 2 pea sized plops on the scrubber thing and vigorously scrubbed upwards for 15 seconds and then side ways for 15 seconds. Let it settle for 10 seconds and then used the microfiber cloth provided to rub it off. Did this 4 times and each time left 30 seconds before the next application. It is bloomin brilliant. Bodywork guy said 300 quid to get it sorted. Yeah… alright mate. The scratches were deep enough for me to notice them after a wash and easy enough to get sorted with this product. I didnt take the area off as the paint work is glossy anyway so didn’t need to. Honestly cannot believe how this has restored the paintwork. Love it. Thanks.
It does work for very minor scratches…. In my case was like wiping huracaine Katrina fallout with a single toilet roll. It did help to fade the scratch but a bodywork shop is in order. At least it’s not my priority anymore.
This was a pleasant surprise. My 2 years old made some superficial scraches to my lease car when he kicked my car. Instead of handing it back as it is and potentially pay hunderds, I decided to give this a try. I have used various autoglym products in the past and have been pleased with most of them. This was no exception, it get rid of most of the scaches and now you really have to try to find some.
Leave a star out because the polish is very thin so I lost nealy half a bottle when just trying to applied a little.
Initially I was a little disappointed with this product. I had a few lengthy scratches on the rear of my campervan, they were to the undercoat so I wasn’t expecting miracles. I gave it a go and the improvement was negligible. It started to irritate me so I decided to give it another go. This time I gave it some real elbow greases and rubbed away for a lot longer and started to notice results. After an hours hard graft I can categorically state that this stuff does indeed work! The aforementioned scratches are now gone and there is no visible signs of repair on the bodywork. Smaller swirl scratches remove quite easy but I eventually sorted my problem with a bit of sweat and perseverance.
This is an honest review.
Autoglym is a premium brand and I expected premium results. But in retrospect I needed to be more realistic.
The product works really well on the lightest of scratches.
I had some deep scratches caused by another vehicle and naturally this just can’t be rubbed out, while I thought this would be the case I thought I would try the product anyway. It does not get rid of deeper scratches.
I tried it on some lighter scratches and it works a dream. Spend a good 2 minutes rubbing and you’ll get some great results.
My advice would be to try it for very very light scratches.
I have to say that I’m fairly impressed by this product.
I found myself with a bunch of fine scratches on my new car and thought I’d give this a go. I wasn’t overly confident it would do much, as I could just about feel some of the scratches with my fingernail and thought they might be too deep to fix. However, 10mins worth of work with the scratch remover cream using the supplied applicator, and the majority of the scratches have gone, or are much reduced so as to be difficult to see.
I would say that I needed to put in some effort to achieve the results (firm pressure over two or three treatments), and I suspect that it will need a couple more treatments to get rid of the stubborn scratches – but it’s a good product that worked for me.
I haven’t tried the accompanying ‘Super Resin Polish’, so can’t comment on this element of the pack.
Overall a good product that works on fine scratches in the clearcoat of the car.
I’ve knocked-off 1 star as it was a little pricey
