Generally pretty happy with the Baby Jogger City Tour 2.
Pros: It’s lightweight, easy to clean, has a decent size canopy and larger back wheels. The fold is simple and compact, with a handle to pick the folded stroller up and place it in the car /train/ bus. The stroller is easy to steer with one hand (a must when you’re juggling kids or shopping). It does exactly what I bought it to do.
Cons: The stroller is easy to unfold but fiddly to lock back into place (still doable with one hand though). I personally dislike that the shoulder straps come apart, a feature which makes it easier to take baby out of the stroller, but more difficult when you have to put said wriggly uncooperative baby back in the stroller. This is not an all terrain stroller, nor does it advertise it as such. It’s for sidewalks and maybe mowed lawn, not pebbles or gravel. The basket is really small, but I needed a compact fold so it’s a small price to pay. Id like it if the stroller came with a rain cover. It comes with a stroller bag which I find pointless. Would also be great of the colour selection was wider.
Amazing quality folds up very small was able to carry it onto a plane and in the overhead hold above my head
Also came with a large shoulder bag which I could put the stroller into
The folding mechanism is not perfectly smooth – the catch to clip it all together doesn’t catch on it’s own, and you do need a strong thumb and fingers to use the two-part folding mechanism with one hand.
It’s not for everyday use. We bought this for ocassional short distance use (airports, nipping in and out of shops) and it fits the bill perfectly. It doesn’t however replace our everyday stroller.
It’s small enough to use as hand luggage on many airlines.
Our little one appreciates the roomy seat, belly bar (extra), and sizeable hood. The rain cover (extra) fits easily over the buggy and does a great job of keeping the rain and wind out.
The price is great too!
Would recommend over any other travel buggies I’ve seen.
It a nice quality pushchair and when closed, quite compact, BUT it’s far from simple to close or open UNLESS you watch a YouTube video which explains the quirky system of opening and closing.
To open the pushchair the upper part has to be fully extended before it will lock into place otherwise it’s a nightmare – so much so, I had my wife screaming at me over it, and to close it, you HAVE to slide the button on top of the pushchair first then whilst holding that, depress the button underneath, and that then unlocks the mechanism so it can be folded down. Again, it was a nightmare closing it until we were sent a link by the manufacturer to a YouTube video.
One other irritating thing is tat the link to get customer support sends you to a site in the US and is only for US and Canadian customers – I found the company by doing a search for them in the UK and email their UK site.
Now we’d sorted out opening and closing, I can confirm that the pushchair is comfortable and our grandaughter is very happy to sit and be pushed around in it, plus the seat reclines which is great. There’s also a very handy basket under the pushchair for groceries or other baby things you might need to store.
Overall I can recommend this and am happy we bought it but wish they’d have better instructions.
My gripes with it are that it’s not that easy to unfold, especially with one hand. The middle clicks in the opposite direction to the hooded part so whichever way you do it, the other part wants to collapse in.
Also, the child is quite reclined, even in its most upright position but this bothers me, not my daughter!
Oh and for the life of me I can’t get it to stand up once it’s folded. I have to lay it flat or it slides down.
All in all, it’s a great buggy with a reasonable basket too for a tiny fold up buggy. Really light, comes with a carry bag and has a handle in the seat.
So I’ve been researching compact strollers for months and months. I have a 15kg 3 year old and an 8 month old so it needed to fit both (at different times of course). I wanted something long lasting, lightweight and small that wouldn’t break the bank.
I looked at a well known compact stroller brand that was extortionately priced but it’s a fashion statement, lots of people have it so I thought what could be wrong with it! Then thankfully I checked reviews high and low before pressing buy which put me off, so then I was back to square 1!
Then I came across this! And I’m SO glad I did! It’s amazing, the wheels don’t buckle like the other popular stroller brand, it folds nice and easy and fits in the front boot of my electric car leaving me with an entire empty rear boot (hooray!) and this is an absolute bargain! I bought this on the prime day so it was cheap as chips but I’d definitely pay the full price for this!
I test drove it for the first time on a day trip to london. My 8mo had 2x 2 hour naps in it (unbelievable I know!) and my 3yo had a comfy ride whilst I held the other in a sling.
The basket isn’t as big as what you’d get with a travel system but what more can you expect with a compact stroller! Would definitely recommend.
No frame wobble very surprised as if folds in 3 places so I was expecting some wobble as wigh previous pushchairs with 4 kids had many pushchairs, very well made I think it will out live them all
I love the stroller but on first use the zip has jammed on the bag and I had to cut it to get the stroller out. I’d really like a replacement bag please
This pushchair is very good, very light and easy to carry. My son is 2 and a half years old, he is quiet big and this pushchair is the only one he firs and I can carry him without killing myself
We bought this primarily for the compact folded size to fit in a small car boot, however in addition to that it’s a great stroller which is easy to push and easy to manoeuvre, whilst being very sturdy.
We bought it for use with our grandson when he stays with us but my daughter has used it and she likes it too.
After getting the stroller on offer, I am delighted that I did. I was looking for a compact stroller for my 20month old and this is perfect. There is plenty of growing room for him yet the stroller itself is so sleek and modern looking. I watched lots of reviews on this one and the silvercross click and I have definitely made the correct choice. My son actually wants to sit in it, it’s so easy to fold and so easy to manoeuvre . I’m so happy with this purchase now I’m also looking into buying the double gt2 (baby number 2 due soon) as the quality of baby jogger is great . The basket is quite small however. It is a compact stroller and will fit a small bag in it with toddler goodies. Great purchase!
amazing little stroller. The main difference between the two is you can raise the legs to rest on the baby jogger so they are completely flat. My little one rarely sleeps in a stroller but she did in this one.
Can take onto the plane and place in the over head locker. Super comfy for my little one. Easy to keep clean.
Would highly recommend buying this stroller.
The quality of the product is fantastic it’s sturdy really well made and is extremely smooth to push. The height of the handles are fantastic.
It falls down into a carrying case and you’re able to take it on board the plane into the overhead lockers. You will need to ask at the airline as we travelled with American airlines both into the US and out, going in was not a problem but going out they limited items so we had to put this into the hold even though it fitted.
If this was are only piece of luggage then we would have been allowed to take it on.
Ideal if you’re going out and you have other shopping or items in your car as it takes up far space then a larger buggy.
Extremely pleased and would definitely recommend this to anybody
Only gripe I could have with this is, having to be careful during folding to make sure chassis doesn’t get scrapped. But, sadly most strollers/buggys have this issue.
Other than that, I was extremely happy to be able to ditch the large buggy that couldn’t fit in my new cars small boot. But thankfully, I can still fit in a weekly shop into my suzuki splash with the stroller inside to! Happy mummy when I have a 3 year old and an 18 month old in tow.

Love the navy colour and hood is large and covers my toddler well, can fit more than expected in the basket, folds really easily and takes up hardly any space. Backrest lays down easily and adjustable footrest is a great extra. The padded seat is comfortable and easy to push. Im 5 foot 7 and handle height is good, someone over 6 foot would likely struggle though.
Theres 3 things im not keen on, one is that its not freestanding when folded and the backrest needs to be a bit higher, and a mesh pocket to store the travel bag would have been handy too.
Photo shows my small 4 year old in it, he has joint problems so cant walk far (it doesnt fold with footmuff attached)
