I needed the drill to put name plate and other things on the wall. With bit of research I thought of buying this drill and was really impressed by the quality at this price.
Good value for money product.
Bought this drill to do some light jobs around the house and it preformed brilliantly.I found the battery a little difficult to remove using the recommended way (weak grip) but by placing the drill on my lap and using two thumbs no problem. Would recommend.
I bought this product because I would need to assemble a hhhuuugggee 7×11 shed. I think I drilled at least 400-500 screws and only charged once. Really reliable product and not to mention superb customer service. Delivered promptly. Nothing to fault really. Will buy again.
I was looking for an affordable cordless drill, as needed a more light weight option. This does the job perfectly and has been most helpful in tackling my smaller jobs, I have no doubt this could also do heavier jobs too!
I have used the cordless drill several times now and it works really well. It develops plenty of torque when driving in screws and for using a diamond hole cutter for drilling through ceramic tiles I had perfect control.
I can recommend this produc
Drill does what it needs to, works pretty well. Had an issue with my first one & it was replaced straight away. Very good communicatio
Compact and lightweight cordless drill with lots of useful accessories, all in a convenient carrying case. First battery failed after 2 months of limited use, but was quickly replaced under the guarantee with no hassle at all. Communication with customer services was excellent and the service they provided was outstanding.
Products and accessories are solid for light work around home
Great customer service when an issue arose with the product.
I have never owned a drill so was pleased to see how light it was and easy to use .I had purchased it to fit solar lights to a wooden fence .Nice and compact and now I have electric screw driver too .What a bonus for such a good price
This has an appealing design and the accompanying tools looked very good but, unfortunately, it seized up and stopped working on first use after drilling a drainage hole in a wooden planter (which should have been well within capability). The battery was fully charged and the light was still on so it seemed an internal problem. I did return and get a full refund without any problem, but the manufacturer got in touch and sent a new drill and it worked great after testing it. I very much like the manufacturer’s confidence in its products, so perhaps I was just unlucky the first time.
Quick delivery, amazing service and very handy to use, I managed to install curtains and assembly my shed without having to charge!
The box also makes it easy to organize and put it back.
Do recommend!
Returned the drill as bits were missing, some clearly used and the drill was second hand.
Update: After writing my previous review, the company immediately contacted me and offered me a replacement drill, the 12v cordless model which came with various drill bits, screwdriver bits and an attachment so the drill can be used around bends.
After charging for a short while, I used the YouTube videos linked in the manual which were simple yet effective then drilled my first hole. The drill is lightweight and exactly what I wanted, something not too heavy or cumbersome but robust enough to be used for light jobs. I wanted something that I could get out and put away easily. I have small hands and not a great deal of strength, the drill isn’t feather light but not too heavy. The drill bit was securely attached when in use and didn’t loosen on use. Very impressive customer service, they followed up after I received the drill and now I have had a chance to use the drill I thought it was fair to update my original review.
Just installed a door chain. My first DIY job at 63! Shelves next!
Drill works fine only fault is the battery has to be removed to charge , and this is very difficult unless you have great strength in your fingers Should be an easier way
Received on time, came in good presentation case and managed to complete the work I intended for.
Very useful device for home use, especially for a somewhat beginner in D.I.Y. jobs in the home.
It is easy to use, instructions clear to follow, with a generous array of attachments to tackle most jobs.
The only downside would be the battery life of about 30 mins, with re-charging time of about 1.30 mins.
Therefore, I have decided to obtain a spare back-up battery that will enable to complete all tasks without being delayed on account of battery life.
In addition, a speedy and efficient service with good customer support.
I was looking for a lighter drill for indoor use, and considered the Bosch at over 80 against this item. Perhaps a little unfair but when this arrived it did not disappoint. It’s sturdy, comes with a range of accessories and feels robust in the hand.
It is lighter than full size versions but for what i wanted just the job. OK so it has a brushed motor whereas the more expensive items are brushless, but no lack of power and for light use i’m sure it will last well. My old Black and Decker was a brushed motor and this only replaced it as the old batteries had died .
All in all, great value.
I recently purchased the Damse 12V drill and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations! This compact yet powerful tool offers exceptional versatility, making it an essential addition to any DIY enthusiast’s arsenal. The ergonomic design and lightweight build make it incredibly comfortable to use, even for extended periods. The battery life is truly impressive, providing consistent power throughout a full day’s work. Moreover, the quick-charging feature ensures that you’re never left waiting too long for a recharge. The keyless chuck makes swapping out drill bits a breeze, and the variable speed control allows for precision across a range of materials. All in all, the Damse 12V drill is a fantastic investment that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone in need of a reliable, high-performance tool. Five stars without a doubt!
The Bamse cordless drill driver is an exceptional tool that has made my DIY projects a breeze. This drill is powerful, yet lightweight, making it easy to use for extended periods without causing any strain on my wrist or arm.
One of the standout features of this drill is its battery life. I can use it for hours on a single charge, and it charges up quickly as well.
The Bamse drill driver has an adjustable clutch, allowing me to adjust the torque to fit the job at hand. This is especially helpful when working on delicate projects that require a lighter touch.
The drill also has a keyless chuck, which makes changing bits a breeze. I no longer have to worry about losing the chuck key or fumbling around trying to get the bit in place.
The grip on this drill is comfortable and ergonomic, making it easy to hold onto for long periods of time.
Overall, I highly recommend the Bamse cordless drill driver. It’s an excellent tool that has made my DIY projects much easier and more enjoyable. Whether you’re a professional or a DIY enthusiast, this drill is sure to impress
This item was purchased to replace an old cordless screwdriver which is no longer manufactured. Before purchasing I looked at conventional cordless drivers but found these mostly lacking torque. Decided on a drill/screwdriver instead, but was put off by the size and weight of many available.
Really pleased with the Bamse, it’s not too heavy and with the battery in-line with the handle, it’s quite compact. It has a solid construction with plenty of torque and comes with a handy set of attachments in a useful carry case.
I like the “split” chuck which allows tightening with both hands instead of gripping the chuck single handed and engaging the motor.
A big fan also of the variable speed drive which enabled me to ease out painted over screws, something that would not have been possible with my old screwdriver.
In all this may become my go to combi for most projects as it is much easier to handle, relying on my existing cordless drill when I need hammer action.
The only drawback is the minimum torque setting is a little on the high side for model screws, but that’s where the low torque screwdrivers come in.
Nevertheless it’s 5* from me!
On a separate note and unrelated to the product, I had an issue with my email client contacting [email protected]. I had great assistance from Christina at Bamse and managed to resolve the problem. Their customer service is first rate – 5 star.
I absolutely love this! It is very lightweight fits in my hand perfectly and is the missing piece to my tool kit! No more breaking nails when trying to screw things into walls with a traditional screwdriver. So easy to use! No more being limited by the cable on my old drill! The battery is so easy to charge too! So many jobs that I have been putting off will be done now! Ten out of ten!
Battery removal is horrible horrible horrible. Fault in design. It does what it should do but if you do some heavy stuff you need to buy proper tools to work with at your local tool shop.
I received the drill yesterday and I’m really pleased. For the price it’s very good value for money comes with a 2yr warranty easy to activate. The drill seems very strong and good quality comfortable to hold feels nice in the hand ,love the fact it comes with a good quality case and plenty of bits and things and screwdrivers . I’m no expert on drills I bought it to hang a Cork board up in my kitchen and for any future DIY jobs I might need to do, to save me having to wait for the kids . So yea I’m really pleased with it definitely recommend .
A good compact set. The drill feels sturdy and has some weight to it and would be comfortable to use. Removing the battery from the drill takes a bit of effort but in time that could become easier, and despite what some other reviewers have said the drill will fit in the case with its battery attached but it’s a bit tight. There are some screwdriver bits attached to the drill itself which in time could become loose and fall off. Time will tell as to quality of the supplied bits and other fittings but hopefully all will be ok. A sturdy case and well made drill, all in all a good value product that hopefully proves to be a worthwhile buy in the long term.
I was looking for a small, but powerful tool for some basic DIY tasks. After going through numerous listings and reviews, ended up buying the Bamse Cordless Drill Driver. I’m quite happy with the purchase so far. I bought some circular cutting blades and cut some wood and metal as well !
Pros:
1.Drill is lightweight and compact, but powerful enough to do most of the household tasks.
2.Good battery life – though I was bit skeptical on the tiny battery size, I got approximately 25-20 min runtime in real life.
3. Comes with all necessary bits to get start with.
4.Hard case is an added advantage, you can store your drill and all bits safe and tidy.
5. FLexible shaft is very much useful to work on tricky spaces.
Cons:
Speed selector switch is bit stiff, took some time to get used to it.
Final verdict:
Its a very practical little drill for household repairs and basic DIY projects. Considering the price point, its unbeatable. HIghly recommended product.
This is the first time I used a drill and it went smooth. As a woman I would say it’s lightweight and easy to use. The instructions are simple. The only criticism is provide more instruction on which screws to use to drilling wall or wood.
Otherwise a good purchase
This is a great little drill that is inexpensive and everything fits comfortably into the storage case it comes in & everything you see in the picture is included. There is a user manual that shows you how and what settings to use the drill most effectively, this is really helpful for someone like me as I usually get my husband to do these type of jobs but wanted to have a go myself.
It fits in my hand comfortably and is light enough to use for an extended period of time without it causing your hand or arm to hurt. Also the sleekness of the drill with the battery inserted was something that I wanted as some drills have a bulky batteries making them feel heavy and awkward to use, but this drill is perfect!!! so much so that my husband keeps finding little jobs that he needs to borrow it for !! its so handy as everything you need is in the case it even comes with a little box with a few screws and raw plugs a bonus!
The battery was fully charged when it arrived showing a green light, this shows red when the battery will require to be charged, there is a mains charger and the battery needs to be removed from the drill to charge. I have seen that you can purchase additional batteries on the questions you might want to consider this if your looking to use the drill continuously for longer than the 30 minutes (time mentioned in the manual) I used this drill without it running out of battery for about 25 minutes for drilling holes and screwing together decking boards to make planters on our allotment, this was easy and quick and it doesn’t feel like I need to recharge it yet.
The drill has a led light on the front, which is useful if you’re trying to work where the lighting is limited and a red flexible extension bar that’s handy if you’re trying to reach into a tight space. You will see from the pictures there are a number of different drill, screwdriver and socket bits you can use. There are also slots on the drill that hold Philips and Flat head screwdrivers on both sides of the drill this is perfect when you just need to grab the drill for a quick job.
I haven’t drilled into a wall yet, but the settling for this feel very capable to get through it easy enough. (I will update when I have tried this)
Over all I am really pleased with all this drill has to offer and I am looking forward to using it to its full specification and all the different bits that comes with it.
If you are looking for something very easy to use, compact, everything contained in a case and affordable this is definitely a good choice, I have already recommended this product to family and friends.
I was after a medium-ish size drill driver to carry out light work around the house and this one caught my eye. The drill driver comes in a good quality case and the extra bits are a useful bonus. The size was just right for me.
I was quite impressed as to the build quality of the drill driver, it feels solid and the speed and the torque settings in my view are right for light to medium duty work around the house.
I tried the drill on a brick wall putting up a security light and worked well drilling holes without much of an effort. The driver also worked well for me when I tried it putting some garden furniture together. I haven’t tried the flexible shaft but I see no reason why it shouldn’t work well.
The drill driver feels robust and I would say for the price it’s a fantastic buy.
The Bamse drill/driver arrived quickly and was well packaged. It comes in a handy carry/storage case, which is packed with a good range of accessories. These include masonry and wood drill bits, a range of driver bits, a range of small sockets, a flexible extension drive for getting to those hard to reach places and a small selection of screws and wall plugs. Certainly, enough to get you started.
The first thing I did after opening the package was to put the battery on charge. Within a couple of minutes, it was fully charged so it could have been used straight out of the box. n removing the drill, the first impression is that it is heavier than expected, and it feels sturdy. With the battery pack attached it is very well balanced and fits the hand comfortably. The controls are fairly intuitive with the direction changer just behind the trigger and the speed changer on the top of the drill. Behind the chuck is a ring for selecting either the drill setting or a range of torque setting for the driver depending on the hardness of the wood/substrate into which you are screwing.
Also included in the pack is a brief instruction manual. It is set out in a number of questions and answers and include a number of QR codes. Using your phone, these codes will take you to a series of short videos on how to use the drill and to solve any problems that might arise.
I have been using the drill/driver to install “loft storage panels” and the unit has performed perfectly both as a drill and a driver.
The Bamse drill is powerful enough and appears to be reliable enough to undertake most jobs you have around the house and garden, such as build fruit cages, installing decking, putting up shelves, assembling/dissembling flat pack furniture, etc.
