3 year old chose this herself and was very happy with it. I think the ‘colour change’ is a bit dodgy – it does change but needs a big change in temp to activate it so in reality it just stays one colour all the time.

Needed something a bit sturdier than the usual plasticy gak. These turned up and seemed to fit the bill. Kids (one each) got these into the bath and seemed mesmerised by the fading colours in hot water with instant brightening with cold water. Cue tap raids for cold water and chilly bath towards the end. Brushing the hair got some attention especially from the older one. Yup reasonable purchase.
Purchased for my 6 year old daughter as a gift. The hair and mermaid tail changes colours. You truly notice the difference. It also feels like a toy that’s built to last. Can be used in water but also outside water as a barbie!

I have never owned a Barbie myself and I bought this one for my 2 year and a half daughter because she’s into mermaids. She loves seeing how the colours change. When she doesn’t feel like having a shower I tell her she can bring the mermaid and she quickly comes!!
It was a gift for my daughter’s third birthday and she loves it! She is having every single bath with her magical mermaid. I am really pleased with this purchase.
Picture doesn’t do this justice. The barbie is a great idea and the colour change is noticeable and my niece loves it!
Only thing wrong is the packaging was poor and when I unpacked it for her I noticed in the back of the barbies head there were many sticking out hard plastic spikes under the hair.
It should be smooth and shouldn’t be like that. I would have complained but not able to on Amazon. They only offer a return and she’s fell in love with it so unable to do so.
