Runs Debian 12 with no issues whatsoever. When I take it to task running JetBrains the fans spin up, they’re only slightly audible but not annoying in the least. And this wee thing is a beast of a yoke. It can do some serious heavy lifting.
I didn’t bother playing any games on it. If you want to play games, buy a console.
Bought to replace an old machine, mainly used in a backup/server role so haven’t used for gaming. It’s really quick, responsive, quiet and really small!! To be honest I bought with a voucher for 260 and now would have happily paid full price.
Bought this in the sale to replace my mother’s old PC.
I’ve used similar boxes at work (with a higher spec) for use behind large TVs in meeting rooms which run CAD software.
Saved lots of space. It is really small.
Performance is excellent and it can play basic games as there is an AMD GPU inside.
This would actually play the likes of Baldurs gate 3 at 1080p on lower settings or the latest FIFA. Don’t expect to play Starfield.
This will run all office tasks such as Word, Outlook, web browsing and pretty much any standard app that you can throw at it.
Built in Wi-Fi and a LAN socket if you prefer. HDMI out so you can get sound through the monitor (if it has a speaker) or use tge 3.5mm headphone / speaker connection.
Very quiet. The fan goes a little when you start up, but I regular use you won’t hear it. It will come on again if you are playing some 3D games that are pushing its capabilities.
Excellent value for a full PC.
What a fantastic machine. I wanted to get soemthing to connectg to my TV that wouldn’t take up lots of room and this was/is perfect!! 8 cores 16 threads, 18gb ram and 1tb ssd makes it quick for all your office and home needs. Not a gaming beast but will play some games on lower graphical settings.
Its fantastic and super easy to set up. I also connect it to a portable screen and a wireless keyboard and mouse so can take it anywhere!! Highly recommended!!
This PC was easy to set up and seems very well appointed. It set up with minimum hassle. It has loaded all the programmes I needed and is working fine.
Easy to setup and ran straight out of the box.
No faffing about. Exactly what you need for a media pc. Sits very comfortably underneath my TV (not on the next shelf but right under it, it’s that small). Plenty powerful enough to do the things I need it to do (general computing, media playing and browsing 95% of the time). Did setup the pc initially for out of curiosity with photo editing and design applications. Handled all of these with no issue
Not a gamer so cannot comment on the ability of this unit. But with the few games I have played in the past (circa 2007-2012), I imagine this would easily handle them.
Value for money it was the best option I could find. Very pleased with the quality of construction and components used in the build. In operation, virtually silent.
I have upgraded the unit to 64GB of ram (from a recently bricked laptop) and added a 2TB SSD drive. Adding the components was straight forward.
I have been using this unit for 6-7 hours daily for the last 4 weeks and seems to be happy. Hope it continues.
Have been using the Beelink GTR6 6900HX 8K 32G Mini PC for around six months now as a main desktop PC with three HP 27q monitors, all running 2560 x 1140.
The PC is used for CAD and 3D rendering, Graphics work and General office activities. It has proved absolutely 100% reliable, never turned off – rebooted only for Win11 updates.
It is fast, quiet and can definitely recommend it.
Worth upgrading the SSD to the max of 2TB.
Seems to run Fedora OK. Windows takes forever to set up and after I’d installed dual boot decided to get rid of it. Installed Fedora in just a few minutes and Ubuntu would have been even easier but I don’t like the way that is going using snaps. Seems to perform well and is happy with my 3 screens. I would have preferred the usb-c on the back so that I didn’t have cables sticking out the front. Seems to run cool I’ve not heard the fan at all. It just sits under one of my monitors on the desktop and is tiny compared with the full size tower it replaced.
I have been running this mini pc almost continuously for 3 days now, and I am impressed by it’s small form factor, ability to use dual monitors, connectivity choices and expansion possibilities. After turning power on, it only takes about 6 seconds to get to the Lock Screen / PIN screen, and after entering my PIN, I’m at the Desktop almost immediately. Hadn’t tried Windows 11 pro before, so after the initial boot up, I had to sit through a couple of hours of updates and installs, but everything went smoothly. Still getting my head around Windows 11, it’s a bit of a slow learning curve for me, but I’m getting to like it.
This Beelink mini pc ( I have the Ryzen 5 5500U, 16 Gb of Ram and 500 Gb SSD ) has been running 4k videos effortlessly with no lag or stuttering ( apart from the very first couple of seconds ) and my usual choice of 2k HD with absolutely no issues so far. You can run multiple desktops on 2 HDMI monitors ( or TV ) and multitasking so far is a breeze with Photoshop, Inkscape and others running simultaneously without issues to speak of.
As far as gaming is concerned, I’ve run the following games at medium settings, although tweaking Custom settings has helped me to increase my satisfaction with that particular game. Note, I have the Speccy App running in the background of the games so I can keep an eye on the fan speed and APU temperatures.
World of Warcraft @ Medium Setting, 72 FPS with APU temp showing 69 deg C
World of Warships @ Medium Setting, 114 FPS, 68 deg C
World of Tanks @ Medium Setting, 109 FPS, 69 deg C
WarThunder @ Custom Setting ( mainly Low, no shadows ) 52 FPS, 69 deg C
Can’t hear the fan at all, and I’m given to understand that the fan boost will engage at 90 deg C to bring the APU back down to the 50 deg C range, but I’ve not seen the APU temp go above 70 deg C so far, so I can’t comment on the fan boost noise. Checked manufacturers web site and found that this chip has a max operating temp of 105 deg C, and I’ve not got anywhere near that yet.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT : I had to contact Beelink with an issue surrounding the hardware drivers and the software updates for the AMD chip. I was having an issue where the hardware and software drivers were in conflict because their revision versions did not match. I received a reply in a short few hours that advised me what to do to initiate the automatic driver and software updates for this chip by downloading and running a program from their web site. After a short set up, and after running the software, the correct drivers and software were installed and everything now works fine. Many thanks to Beelink for the excellent and quick support.
In summary, I am very pleased with this mini pc, it outperforms my 10 year old Intel i-5 based desktop with the exception of gaming, but for me, that’s not an issue. It’s a pity the system does not have the ability to connect an external graphics card, but that’s a very minor issue as far as I’m concerned.
It arrived in a neat package with instructions on how to add a second SSD. It boots up in a jiffy and handles 4k videos like a dream. Not using it for gaming though so can’t comment. The fan is extremely quiet. Very pleased with the purchase.
Suited my needs perfectly. Great price and specifications including W11 Pro. Quiet and plenty of expansion options.
Bought this because I wanted to scratch a light gaming itch but my mac no longer runs 99.9% of games because of stupid Apple decisions.
Expected to be able to play older titles like Half-Life 2 and Borderlands 2, but actually with a bit of tweaking I’m playing Borderlands 3 (which is only a couple of years old) absolutely fine at 720p with moderately high details settings. I’m happy with the solid 30fps it’s giving me in BL3 — online gamers might not like that but for my singleplayer gaming it’s absolutely fine.
The unit itself is tiiiiny, well built, almost completely silent and hasn’t given any problems so far after a couple of months of long gaming sessions (I’ve got 80 hours in Borderlands 3 already!)
Definitely recommend this machine — it’s exceeded my expectations.
I paid about 320 for the SER5 5500u from Amazon(it was advertised as the 5560u on Amazon – oh well). Basically it’s a desktop PC in a tiny box, you can expand the RAM to 64GB(comes with 16GB) and it has space for an extra 2.5″ SSD on top of the installed 500GB NVMe drive. It runs silently under normal loads and only makes a faint sound(of whooshing air) at 100% load. With 6 cores/12 threads it’s powerful enough to deal with all productivity tasks easily. It comes with Windows 11 Pro. Basically unless you need some expansion(like a powerful separate graphics card) that doesn’t use USB it’s going to cover most/all of your needs and these types of mini PCs are going to be the future of desktop PCs in my opinion.
On a side note as an ex-Apple user eMac/iMac/Air/Pro you have to wonder how Apple get away with selling a Mac Mini that has non-expandable RAM(and only 8GB!) and storage(only 256GB!) for twice the price …
I was floored by how tiny this device is, and shocked at how well it worked. It replaces a seven year old water-cooled I-7 gaming desk-top machine and seems better in every way. My only complaint is that it does not have quite enough USB ports, but a 7 extender took care of that. It has taken some time to accustom myself to its dead silence. So far I love it!
I have had good idea regarding the size of this product, still, I was amazed with what this little box can do.
Super fast, as compared to my old, full size desk bottom PC. Quiet, no sound whatsoever. Initial set up was a breeze, the usual Windows 10. After set up automatically updated to Windows 11. I do not play games, so no comment here. I do not have 4K monitor, however picture quality seems much better, compared with the old PC. Next test: Fusion 360 (free trial) and Tinkercad. From what I have seen so far I am confident that this Beelink can handle it. Food for thought: it so tiny, light and powerful that with a small 13″ monitor it would blow out any laptop out of the water. 19V battery banks are very cheap nowadays to make it fully portable (WIFI only). I am very happy with this purchase.
Very Happy with Beelink AMD Ryzen5 5560U 6 Cores 12 Threads up to 4.0GHz
Reading reviews can be confusing, to if things are a good buy, and some say it say some problems.
I have been using for a few weeks now, so tried out all the ports, usb, etc, with no problems.
Fitted another SSD drive inside, you just slot in, easy.
Also doesn’t come with a lot blotted software, to clog your system up, just straight Windows 11 Install.
Win11 starts up, almost instantly, like in a few seconds, and shuts down, just as quick
Bought this last week for 669 so was a little but gutted when I came to review the product to see it has been reduced by over 100 in a week. But, at just under 550 it is a fantastic bit of equipment!
Multitasking is effortless, its runs games like Forza Horizon & Football Manager (I know its not a resource hungry game but after playing it on a laptop for years the difference is night & day) & its is very quiet unless it gets hot which has been very far in the time I have been using it.
I watched many reviews online before I purchased this mini-PC as I was wary that it would be as powerful as described but I have been more than happy with this purchase, just wish I’d waited a week haha, a must buy for someone looking for something with a bit of juice under the bonnet for a more than reasonable price!
Purchased this via Amazon – great service – when it arrived I was shocked at the size of it! It’s SMALL. Needed to get inside it to instal a SSD – undo 4 very small screws on the base corner – still failed to gain entry – Beelink confirmed that access was via the 4 screws. I contacted them again and was asked to take photos of the rear of the machine – that was the last I heard from them Thankfully a friend on a PC Forum found a You Tube video of the machine and how to gain entry. STILL WAITING to hear from Beelink – I hope this is not a sign of things to come. Delivered same to a friend today – very impressed with the unit, absolutely silent, fast and I quite W11 Pro. It seems the PCs are good but the support is poor. Dave Hughes
Unlike my previous mini computer, this Beelink model is virtually silent, is super fast (mainly used for editing large image files in Photoshop CC) and never seems to get even the slightest bit warm. I can’t speak for gamers, but for my needs (editing, watching videos, printing, surfing) it runs stone cold. I could have fried eggs on my previous machine! For a piece of kit this tiny, and with as many sockets as I need, I can’t recommend this computer highly enough
This is the first mini PC i have ever purchased.
It comes in a very small package and packs plenty of power .
in use it is very quiet and does not run hot with the things i have tried so far.
I am able to play games such as Elite Dangerous without any hiccups.
In all everything seems to run with good speed and I can certainly recommend this piece of ki
Picture above is my Beelink in front of a standard keyboard, it’s about a third of the size of the keyboard. Firstly, I do not use this for gaming; I just hate slow computers and this Beelink is anything but. The only real noise it makes is when the fan runs fast. I am running Windows 11 for general surfing, playing cd’s dvd’s, document writing/filing etc. and I do some photo editting. I hardly ever hear it! It reacts to every click of the button no matter how much you have open and it’s plenty fast enough for me without altering any of the standard settings. (I don’t like messing with stuff I don’t know much about) I could not believe how something so small could do so much. It can be mounted to the back of a monitor but I’ve mounted mine to the back of my desk, with usual usb wires through a thin trunking. With keyboard, mouse & printer wireless you would even know there was a p.c. in the room. It is very efficient, power wise and uses very little electric. The only very small niggle is it doesn’t completely shut off; there is always trickle power so you cant use an auto shut down adapter to shut off the periphrals as it always detects that power is stil being used
