I actually bought a Metal Frame Pool earlier in the year, but I never got around to putting it up due to UK weather this year being all over the place, but I saw this for 14 and thought that’s crazy! It’s a really big pool size aswell!
I just didn’t fancy setting up a metal framed pool only to have it put away so quickly, but to be honest I’m kinda prepared to sell that off because I’ve turned out impressed by this one. They’ve improved the quality of the pools since I last remember. It’s definitely not going to burst anytime soon!
Very easy to put up, ( less then 10 minutes) though filling it took a lot longer, important to get all creases out as early as possible, it gets to heavy to move after 15 minutes or so of filling, nice kit came with it, though not cove
You will need a ground sheet. You have to smooth the base. You have to lift the sides when there’s about 3 cm of water so it fills and hold shape . Tedious. Not sure how long it or the weather will last but inexpensive fun for school holidays
It was really, really enjoyable to have it when it was hot! Now, the realities associated with having a swimming pool:
It’s not easy to empty. The discharge valve is about 10 cm above the ground, so it empties water until that level and then you have to somehow discharge the rest. For that I push on the rim, which is quite tricky to deflate, btw, and at the very end just remove the whole thing manually, to pour out all the water. Maybe there is an easier way of doing it.
Water gets green after a couple of weeks, I bought chlorine tablets here on Amazon but that doesn’t seem to be helping much. Maybe will try algae killer next summer, will see.
Filtering system doesn’t seem to be doing much. I left it for overnight but I didn’t see any change.
Cover will definitely help, I’ve got mine from Amazon.
In any case, the quality of the product and my opinion of it is still the same, it’s just all the effort relating to emoting it!
Who said it doesn’t hold the shape or doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do?? If you do everything as recommended – flat surface, remove wrinkles, inflate the upper rim, it works great! It took 3hrs and 45 min for mine to get filled. I have a normal water pressure through our outside tap.
Our size is 3m and it looks more than enough for me!
Did the trick, kept kids happy but more difficult to get bottom wrinkle free then thought it would be, in fact I didn’t. Pump hard to connect, had to get the husband to do it and the joints leak. But enjoyed by all and at that price a bargain. Pump died after a few days use, not up to the job for size of pool
This pool is great although due to its size, it is massive, it took a while to fill and once it was full it rained so we haven’t really used it yet but reviews on this pool are great and I can’t wait to try it out properly next year!
Have only emptied it once so far, the best thing to do is attach a piece of hose to the emptying valve and if possible empty in to a drain, little mess and water over the garden. It takes about 5 hours to fill so probably best doing it in the early morning if you want use of it for the day and for the sun to warm it.
