Mouth feels just as clean as with flouride, a little less “zingy” but perfectly pleasant. Toothpaste prices in supermarkets have jumped where I am, so this was acceptable value at 4
The verdict is this product is good, it’s also calming, tastes good too, as a smoker, not a heavy smoker, coffee and tea drinker it’s brightening my teeth a bit, though I haven’t used it as much as I want to as my Big girls move it from upstairs to downstairs, seems they hide it sometimes, I should be the one to hide them away from the Big girls all the time, so I use other visible toothpaste in between, but when it’s visible I use it, it makes you want to wash your teeth more ofte
I purchased this because I am pregnant and have been struggling with nausea/sensitivity to strong scents and my usual minty mouth products were overwhelming to use. I found this and an orange mouthwash and switched off the mint- it has helped! I don’t have to psych myself up to battle for dental hygiene! The toothpaste is more of a gel than a paste but the way it looks on the brush is irrelevant- it does a great job without foaming up or turning white. No bathroom mirror rabies impersonations with this product. It is gentle and effective and rinses clean leaving a very light orange taste. I can immediately have food and drink without worrying how mint is going to make my yogurt taste horrible. My partner got curious and envious (because mint toothpaste + cereal & milk = gross) and tried this too- and loves it! Now we are switching longterm and this is our regular toothpaste.
Bought as the price of toothpaste is not only Stoopid but the quality just is not there, I always have 1 expensive one and 1 baking soda/whitening in the go as I use both 3 or 4 times a da/night.
So I found these after searching and always try to give a new one a go, I used to live the French toothpastes from superdrug but that shop sinks now, notice how they do refits and up the prices and lower the content hmmmmmmmm very English but still.
I’ve used this one for a week now and have to admit it’s pretty good, I’m also happy that it seems a lot more organic in content also.
Flavor is pretty good I mean you wouldn’t spread it on q cheesecake or anything but hey, doesn’t foam that much also so you get the squeaky effect more so with an electric toothbrush but my add age is if it squeaks it’s clean ermm…… Yeah. Or rusted …go figure.
So I’ve been using this over a month now and I’ve definitely noticed a huge improvement. My teeth used to be really sensitive to cold, it would hurt to wash my mouth out with cold water and mouthwash would sting a great deal too but after using this stuff it’s nowhere near as bad, didn’t even realise it would do that.
Even after a whole day my teeth are a lot whiter as well which is great.
I see lots of people complaining about the taste but I don’t get why, it’s not that bad and it’s not like you’re meant to be consuming it anyway, considering how well it does the job that’s just not an issue for me.
I’m buying it for second time now, I find it quite good as I want to avoid flouride
Taste is ok, cleans my teeth well
Hope you find it useful
OK this toothpaste gives your teeth a good clean better than other pastes this gives you the dentist clean feel even after eating and drinking teeth still feel clean , although it doesn’t work for keeping sensitivity away and I’ve since spent more money trying to combat the sensitivity so only recommended if you want a good clean .
I bought this purely based on the review of the dad talking about his sons enamel and cavities. I’m only 3 days in but I have noticed 50% less cold sensitivity when using my water floss pick. I had to use it with warm water but now I can use it with cold. Nice foam and minty taste.
Will update you on the my next dentist as well as if there are any changes on first signs of cavities that have appeared. I’m also using oral probiotics, reducing acidic food and drink consumption.
I was nicely surprised when I cleaned my teeth with this toothpaste. They were squeaky clean! I try to avoid fluoride paste and this one clearly ticks all my boxes. Maybe not the cheapest option but affordable.
It’s ok. From what I understand it’s not completely clean of nasties but at least it doesn’t have the toxic fluoride in it. And supposed to help build your enamel back. Taste is ok, not minty but ok. My daughter uses it as well and she’s fine with it. Teeth do feel clean after it. Doesn’t feel gritty.
I was looking for an alternative toothpaste to replace my non toxic one as that company seems to have stopped trading. Calcimax ticked the boxes. Not only is it great in that respect but also leaves a lovely fresh feeling after brushing your teeth so really pleased with this product. Getting it on Amazon sub and save is a bonus.
I’ve just ordered three more tubes as a follow-up to the original single.
A bit of information first: toothpastes for ‘sensitive’ teeth seem to contain one of three main ingredients. Either stannous chloride, potassium nitrate or calcium hydroxyapatite.
Ones with calcium hydroxyapatite are very hard to find and tend to be very expensive on a tube-by-tube basis.
Scientific research shows that the ingredient works effectively to remineralise enamel.
I tend not to brush my teeth with Biomed in the conventional manner.
My dentist recommended sluicing my mouth out with water after eating acidic foods and then smearing a pea-size pellet of the toothpaste directly on to the area of sensitivity.
Tooth enamel softens after eating (acidic) foods and naturally remineralises/hardens in about thirty minutes.
The idea is to keep the toothpaste in your mouth for as long as you can before spitting the surplus fluid into the basin.
Smearing clearly concentrates the product in the area most likely to benefit.
Took about three days for the treatment to work for me. Tooth no longer temperature sensitive. I just follow the ‘rinse and smear’ routine everytime I eat something. Relatively hassle-free.
A single tube lasts for ages. For me it seems to work. Your mileage may vary but at a very reasonable 4.00 or so a tube, worth a try to find out!
I would have preferred a ‘fresher’/’more minty’/’punchy’ flavour but it might just be that such additions reduce the effectiveness of the remineralisation process. Certainly not unpleasant, just a bit bland. Anything but a deal breaker.
Hope helpful.
Apart from us always using fluoride free I was looking for a toothpaste to support healing of my son’s cavities. He’s 11 and still has baby teeth which the dentist said needs a few fillings! For some reason I didn’t trust the dentist. I could see two dark spots that I assumed were the cavities but it’s typical of the medical system not to give us the full facts and fully inform us that it is possible to heal it yourself. Anyway did some research as I had heard before you can heal your own cavities as long as they are mild to moderate. Teeth are in a constant process of mineralising and de-mineralising depending on how you treat your teeth and whether you are eating the right diet and being able to absorb the right minerals (see Dr Axe). I gave my son the option of the fillings or to totally change his diet for a while – no sugar or grains (phytic acid stops the absorption of minerals as they bind to it) and more of the right foods for the problem. He went for the diet. The toothpaste was a good addition to help the process along. Guess what? Cavities healed!!
I don’t often review but had to do this one!
I was trouble with a molar during lockdown, with searing pain and enduring on chewing or taking hot or cold liquids. My dentist has since told me it’s not the filling which is sound, but newly exposed root due to my gum receding from overbrushing. Since using this toothpaste for four weeks, the problem has completely gone. Dentist has sealed the exposed root and told me I’m good to go, no dreaded root canal needed as initially feared. My hygienist also told me that a Swiss formulation and the hydroxyapatite is the perfect thing for my tooth.
The taste is absolutely fine, I don’t find it salty, in fact, just pleasantly neutral. Very thick formulation. Incredible vfm and effectiveness overall.
