This game is excellent for family fun – it doesn’t rely on any specific knowledge etc. So is a great leveller for all family

If you’re looking for a fun and engaging board game that the whole family can enjoy, Block Party is definitely worth checking out. This colourful block building game is suitable for kids aged 8 and up, as well as adults and teens, making it a great choice for family game night.

The gameplay is easy to understand – each player takes turns building a tower of blocks, trying to keep it as stable as possible. The catch? You have to spin the wheel to determine which block you’ll be using next, which adds an element of unpredictability and keeps things interesting. There are also cards that allow you to steal blocks from other players or mess with their towers, adding an extra layer of strategy.

The blocks themselves are sturdy and well-made, and the colours are bright and eye-catching. The game board and spinner are also nicely designed and add to the overall aesthetic of the game.

The only reason I’m giving this game four stars instead of five is because it can be a bit frustrating if you’re not careful. Knocking over your tower is obviously part of the game, but it can be a bit disheartening if you feel like you’re doing well and then one bad spin causes everything to come crashing down. However, this is a minor issue and overall, Block Party is a fun and engaging game that the whole family can enjoy.

Block Party is basically 3D Pictionary with Minecraft thrown in for good measure. It’s a fantastic game to teach skills without seeming like teaching them. Your kids can get sensory, spacial awareness and imagination skills from this game while having fun.

Some things we had to create were so funny when we tried to put them into real life blocks that once no-one had guessed and we had to tell everyone, we all sat around laughing at the mess of blocks that were supposed to resemble a policeman or flower.

If you love Pictionary but want to step it up a level then this game comes highly recommended.

This is such a fun game! You basically build something with the blocks and then people guess and move around the board if they guess correctly. It is fairly straightforward but it did take a couple of games to get really into it.

The blocks are small so it can be a bit fiddly but I guess that just adds to the fun of trying to create something. My children (8 and 10) really enjoy this game as the building aspect really appeals to them.

Overall this is a more interactive style board game as you have to get creative which is always fun. It is pretty straightforward to play. You can play with just two players but we do find it more fun with three or more players. I’m very happy with it!

Kids have had such fun figuring out what each other has built, its a great game fostering lovely family moments and memories, the kids are pixel made and this just added to the chaos but in such a good way, fits of laughter were had by all

Great game, took a little while for our whole family to grasp the instructions but as with anything new we got there together!

Good fun for all of us – with exception of the smalls (<8yrs).

    Verdict: Recommended.

Great game for around aged 8 years plus, I wouldn’t recommend younger kids use it as the building blocks are so small, I took it to our Mother’s Day meal in a restaurant and my grandchildren loved it, even my 16 year old daughter played it with the younger ones.
Rules are easy to follow, it’s a good game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for 8+

I bought this game for my family and we had a blast playing it. It’s like Pictionary but with blocks, and you have to guess what the other players are building. The blocks are colourful and sturdy, and there are enough of them to make different things. The game also has some extra challenges that make it more interesting, like building the tallest structure or using the most blocks. The game is easy to learn and play, and it doesn’t take too long to finish. It’s also great that it has a two-player mode for when you want a more intimate game. This game is perfect for kids, adults and teens who enjoy building and guessing games. It’s a lot of fun and very creative.

This cute, simple little game is SO much fun! One side of the board is for 2-players and the other side is for more players, which is pretty cool! We laughed SO hard building these silly things about of these cute little blocks. A great way to unwind from a long day! We just adore this game!

The game is guaranteed to create laughter, mainly because you realise how bad you are at building simple things. Who knew a moustache would be the one that brought a game to an end. I mainly stuck to the easier options, as I had no idea how I would build some of the more complicated ones e.g. superman. It really is good fun though and I haven’t played a game that’s gotten me so animated in quite some time. I mainly play with my mum and some games, when playing as two players, miss out features. Whilst this is true for this one, they’ve also created a completely separate experience. Using the other side of the board and working as a team with 10 lives, was well thought out.

As for being plastic free, this is great. However, the bag that holds the blocks could do with being bigger or designed better, as I’ve had to use a resealable plastic bag, which defeats the point. Also, during game play, several times we ran out of colours and had to use others, but say what they should have been. Overall, it’s a great game and I would definitely recommend this one for a games night.

Fantastic way to engage with anyone who loves minecraft, amazing invention,
Thsi game has been very well though through during the planning as they have taken into consideration 2 players and multiple players with the use of seperat boards, just flip it over, how often do companies think off these, absolute game changer and very welcome.
The game itself has not only been very well thought out in production but the blocks are very good quality and great range of colours, great questions/challenges and best of all non artists like myself don’t ahve to worry about being ridiculed for their poor drawing skills.
Excellent value for money and would make a great gift for family game night.

My eldest son loves pixel art so this game was his idea of heaven.
It’s a great concept and puts a fun spin on the age old “act/draw out a word” type game. Each person takes a turn to construct an item from coloured blocks to the best of their abilities and the opposite members have to guess it.
Points are awarded based on if people guess correctly and bonus points are given if you can meet specific conditions on bonus cards- like limited time/blocks etc.

It plays well as a 3+ player game, but I was delighted to see an extra 2 player variant included too as often it’s tricky to find 3 folks wanting to play games.

My only negative would be that the little cubes came in a paper bag, that once opened they couldn’t be stored on again – thankfully I had a spare draw string bag of the right size to accommodate them and keep safe in the box.

Played as 2 adults the things to make are hard but it’s a great laugh.

This is a cool challenging game.

It was easy to set up and the rules easy to understand. It wasnt long before we were playing. This game is suitable for all ages however smaller children will need help reading the objects that they are to build.

You simple choose an object off the card to build and the guesser has to guess what it is 1 point is scored for every correct answer.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Game

This game is suitable for ages 8+ and it is suitable for up to 6 players. The aim of the game is to build an object suggested on the game card, for another player to guess. It’s quite similar to drawing games etc but more fun as you use the bricks.

This is a great family game! We were happy to see that the concept is familiar and the rules are simple and easy to follow, making it suitable for young children.

It requires some basic skills of putting blocks together to resemble something that you pick from the list in each card. There’s challenges cards if you want to make it a bit harder.

There’s simple point counting and that’s how you pick the winner! Overall great fun for everyone!

The description says Pictionary meets Minecraft and I totally agree.

Both my sons played this with their mates and I had to join in with the laughter I heard from them.

It’s quite easy to learn how to play and is good fun.

    Block Party

Fun building activity game – where all but the guesser chooses an object from their card, try and build it and hope that the guesser correctly identifies it. Correct guessing allows you to progress round a track.

Designed for ages 8+ and 2-6 players – though better with 4 or more players.

    Some things to consider
    – you need a phone timer (the duration is controlled by challenge cards but usually 45 seconds), really think a sand-timer would be more in keeping with the feel of the game
    – you need to keep track of which items on your card you’ve attempted to build, this allows you to start with the easier one, but as there are 10 listed you might need some pencils to tick off as you go
    – the blocks are small (1cm cube), easier for child hands, and not that easy to stack
    – you can only pick one block up at a time from the central pot (might be a hard rule to enforce)
    – the game is plastic free so blocks are in a paper bag, but mine will go straight into a zip-lock bag

Overall – good with younger children or for an all age party, especially if you like guessing type games

4.0 out of 5 stars Good party games - blocks are small (1cm) though

It’s great to see a new concept for a game – and this is certainly a new idea. Think of pictionary, but instead of drawing you have to build shapes with small wooden blocks. It is quite a large box for the contents, but I don’t think I have any issues with that. It is beautifully packaged, and the box feels nice a sturdy. The instructions are clear, and it looks like it will be a fun family game to play next time the kids are home.

This block party board game is a fun activity to play, not only for kids but also for adults. We used this as an icebreaker game. It is definitely an impressive one. Though there are some advantages as the blocks and boards are a bit small it is alright because everyone enjoyed it. I recommend the product.

This is one of the best family/friend board games I’ve played for the past 2 years. It’s just amazing.
We played this game with some friends (6 in total) and we couldn’t stop laughing. The instructions are very easy to read and straightforward. It takes less than 3 minutes to set up and start the game.

The blocks are smaller than expected (be careful if you have young kids around) and make the game really interesting when you have to build something tall. You will need your phone to set up timers and you’re good to go.
I would highly recommend this board game. Definitely worth it.

Fun games for all the family. It really gets you thinking creatively as you have to build certain objects using tiny blocks. Different to any other games I have played, we all really enjoyed it.

The game is visually appealing and really fun to play with people of all ages. Similar to charades or a similar guessing games, you get a card with words, create the thing with blocks and get guesses. If you get it right, you get a point.

It’s a simple concept that may work better for more creative people but would be fun nonetheless. The game has made for lots of laughs and lovely family evenings though could be equally fun with friends. I highly recommend this especially since the barrier to entry is much lower than other more complicated games on the market.

This game looks like it will be a lot of fun. There are several different types of game play with instructions. You get challenge and building cards plus the bricks. They are very small though and it is a shame they don’t come with a little bag to keep them in as it will be easy to lose them. This is not a game for younger children but for 8 and over as recommended. I think this is mainly to do with the fact that it is a bit fiddly but also the blocks could be a choking hazard. If you have a child who plays Minecraft then they are going to love playing this too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Choking hazard, not for young children.

This is like a Pictionary game, but using small colour blocks. I have a similar one that uses play foam, and that’s really good, this being better in that it won’t dry out.

Easy to learn the rules and simple enough for younger children to play. It’s a little expensive but then most games seem overpriced, and this does have a LOT of pieces!

I like this game, it feels fresh and fun, one person is the guesser and everyone else has to make a shape from the card, if the guesser is right, that person gets 1 point. It is like Minecraft and as so many kids play this, their minds should work well with this game.
It comes in a good sturdy box and even inside there is nothing flimsy, it is well made and well designed. Really like this and can’t wait to play 🙂

Block party is a family game that everyone can take part in and it’s really fun.

This game comes with many colored blocks that you can use to make your creations. There are game cards with world’s on that you need to create, for example apple. After playing a few round we have even started adding our own words for endless fun.

One thing I love about the game is the packaging it used to be packaged in plastic but it has now been replace.

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative fun for the whole family

I couldn’t wait to get this game and start playing right away and it did not disappoint
Tried and tested with a 10 year old and they loved it

Really simple rules to pick up and we had hours of fun making things with it, you would be surprised at how well you can make things from little bricks
You get a few challenge cards like ‘use the least amount of colours’ ‘make the tallest creation’ etc and also some have lower time limits which mix it up a bit and add to the fun

A great game for all ages (even the adults carried on when the little one went to bed)

    Highly, highly recommend

This wonderfully fun game is unlike anything my family have played before. It’s both easy to learn and entertaining to play.

Similar in a way to drawing games, this one instead requires you to build an item on your game board for another player to guess! Of course, challenge cards can often make the task more difficult, leading to hilarious results!

For each round, one player becomes the ‘guesser’ and they’ll need to try and guess what each of the other players block creations are. If they get it right, both players gain a point, if not, another player can ‘steal’ that guess.
Players move along the board as they gain points and extra points can be won for being the first to complete a challenge from the drawn ‘challenge’ card.
A second mode of play is also included in the game instructions, specially for 2 players.

The game can be played by upto 6 players, from ages 8+. Of course younger players could always team up with an adult player.

It’s a really fantastic game with addictive gameplay – it’s tremendous fun for the whole family. It’s definitely become one of our family favourites.

    Fun family game.
    It’s rather unique.
Easy to follow instructions and rules of play.
Requires creativity with your building as some of the items you need to build are tough.
