I dare say a really strong magnet would be hard to control at a distance, so it’s unfair to expect that it should be much stronger than it is.
Given that caveat, it’s neat, just under 2 feet extended, with a pocket clip. It’s not something I use a lot, but when I do need one, I expect it will do the job nicely.
Cheap and cheerful but saved my bacon when I dropped a nut under the bonnet and it didn’t fall through to the ground. A bit of fishing around with this and was massively relieved to see it appear on the end.
I may now go on the hunt for something similar with more articulation to get into harder to reach places but I can’t fault this for the price.
Bought this a few months ago and it is such a simple tool but so effective when you have dropped a screw and need to pick it up in unreachable areas.
I was surprised how well made this is, given the price. Magnet is easily strong enough to pick up small items (screws etc.), and the telescopic action works well. Probably not sturdy enough for regular mechanic type use, but for DIY use it’s great.
Nice handy pick up tool used for my hobby, can carry it in your work jacket pocket like a pen, light. Not picked anything heavy as yet other then my metal vernier tool. So far Ok for light use and purpose.
Rated tp pick up quite heavy items but not sure about that yet.

Great little gadget – Ideal for fetching nuts rather than them dropping down into the engine bay never to be seen again.
Its well made and durable for the price. It helped me grab some suspension bolts that were hard to reach.
I purchased for this specific job and it now lives in my tool box, should have got one years ago.
It is easy to extend and retract, a very smooth movement.
The magnet works well and picked up a range of objects. It will be very helpful and useful when I am working on my car. It is very good value for money. My only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner.
This small magnet on a telescopic pen mount is amazing…. In fact I bought two of them.
I have been looking for something like this for ages.
I am physically disabled and always dropping things.
For most items I use Grabber Sticker…. but it is not always convient…. especially when away from the house.
This neat small gadget fits easily into my pocket or purse and is especially great for when I drop my keys….. which I do way too often.
Highly recommend product.
