This is good. Especially when the laser auto level itself. However, it is painful to put it at the right height given that it is adjusting. I end up having to set it up, wait for the auto level, then re-adjust the height by increments until it finally matches.
bought it because of the price and to see if I could get on with using a laser level,
what can i say a brilliant bit of ki
Great item does what its suppose to do very accurate
Just one issue. Its not bright enough for outside use. You will need to wait till dusk to check your levels. Red glasses will help start work slightly earlier before it gets dark. But inside. Its ideal.
Great product didn’t need to buy tripod. Used one of my video camera great bit of kit for lining up on walls
Good value product to use at home
Make sure you realise it doesn’t do ceilings, only vertical and horizontal lines on walls.
Great for putting up TV brackets, shelves, pictures
Bosch make quality DIY tools and this no different excellent stable lazer lines in red, nice clamp
Great product makes hanging pictures level a piece of cake . Also very good for obtaining straight line for painting, shelve installations etc.
Ive had this for about 6 months and found it works very well. The batteries last ages and its really easy to use. Ive had no problems at all.
I bought this Bosch Quigo laser ‘green’ levelling device to assist me in building a lean-to roof.
I chose the green laser version (around 20 more expensive) because it has much easier to see lines than the red version in daylight (apparently).
It works well and has a useful clamp that allows it to be fixed to beams etc.
The only significant failing however, is not being able to lock the beam whic would allow angled surfaces to be duplicated at a distance to the device.
I’m not sure if other similar devices have this facility or not, but it would be very useful.
Overall, I can recommend this ‘green’ version.
For the price you really can’t complain with the features and usability of this tool. Great for the avid DIY’er, if your on job site work get something a bit more robust and capable.
This is an execellent little laser level. I found it to be Very Usefull when hanging wallpaper.
Easy to get it hanging straight and no fiddly plumb bob or other ways of getting it right 1st time. I just wish I had got one of these earlier, could have made decorating sooo much easie
Used this to fit tiles and wall board. The stand is very flimsy but luckily I had another tripod so all good in the end
Bought this when on offer at a good price.
I needed to set some levels for an uneven, sloping ceiling in a loft conversion.
This device made the task so much easier – better than going around with a spirit-level. I marked the lines and checked them – spot on!
The light is not bright enough for outdoor use – I think that you would need to spend a bit more for a suitable device for that application.
It was ideal for my purpose – indoors.
Overall, a very useful device for setting lines indoors.
I had a faulty one which I returned as the horizontal line wasn’t level, but the vertical one was 100%accurate. I would buy agai
Neat. Portable. Easy to use. Self levelling to 4 degrees. Used to check the level of a block paving I was laying. Much more accurate than a long piece of wood and a level
Works well indoors, less so outside on a sunny day when you can’t see the level projected. Huge fun indoors when you have visual confirmation that your 125 year old house is as wonky as you thought it was … great for lining up pictures, mirrors etc for hanging which is its main purpose. Just not for wires for garden plants along a fenceline.
Love the jig on this laser, you can put it anywhere you like! The self leveling feature is odd and it makes it sound like it broken, but it’s a good bit of kit. I like the pro version as it has extra lines on i
Used the laser level to help get my concrete pads level for a Pergola I am building. Inside the laser is really clear, but as expected it was very faint outside, but on a light surface I could get away with it. If it had been a sunny day there would have been no chance. Maybe the green more expensive one would have been better? All in all great product, couldn’t have done the job properly without it. You need the bracket, this came with one, some didn’t, I would buy one without the mounting bracket, you need it.
Handy to have, the laser line is thicker than some much more expensive versions, and the level is created is not completely perfect but it’s absolutely fine for home DIY and cleverly designed.
The limitations on these are: The device must be at the exact height you want the horizontal line.
If you can do that, it’s brilliant. This particular one was fiddly to begin with. The instruction could have been better.
But once I got used to it, it was very useful. (I, like an idiot, tried to put the snap-on holder over the rubber edges. Don’t do that!)
I forgot to close the front lid to turn it off, only to find it had turned itself off to preserve the batteries! Much appreciated! (I guess it’s at least an hour or so until this happens, so not a frustrating thing.)
The laser itself is easy to use, showing a bright line which is clearly visible on the wall and is easy to follow. The mount, however, does not seem rigid enough or hold the laser unit firmly enough because it flexes. The mount has to be +/- 3 degrees level before it will self-level. So far I have not been able to use the mount successfully but the laser is excellent and has enable me to fit level curtain rails.
The Bosch Quigo laser works well once correctly positioned, but this is not always easy to do. It has to be close to the height at which you are marking the horizontal line. Although it includes quite a versatile mount, in practice there is seldom anywhere convenient on which to clamp it when marking high horizontal lines. I have had to resort to a combination of camera tripod and/or adjustable selfie-stick to locate it at the right height when e.g. marking positions for curtain poles. The fine height adjustment on the instrument is handy but has a very limited range. Marking verticals is much easier, since the vertical position of the laser is much less critical, so it’s easier to adjust.
Never thought I would need a cross line laser.
We recently moved to a new house, hence a ton of furniture assembly, painting and decoration DIY at home. I have couple of conventional level ruler of different sizes, but never imagined that i would ever need one of these. However, it turned out to be really useful.
I have used it to align drilling holes, assist measuring height/length/width at all sorts of locations, and even used to assist my wife’s wall painting ideas… It never failed to work. Top quality from bosch as excepted.
I don’t even remember how much it cost me, nor do I care anymore. It is a useful tool worth having in my house. I would recommend to anyone thinking this might be useful.
Very new to DIY and thought I would give a this laser level a go. This laser level made it very easy to align my Dyson V6 cordless vacuum.
I simply marked roughly where I wanted the wall mount to go and the aimed the laser at it. Line up the top of the mount with the x-axis and then lined up the screw holes with the y-axis easy!
The mount it comes with is very good. I thought i would find somewhere to mount it but it is very versatile and can grip on to a lot of areas. I hung mine of a shelf.
You do have to be careful not to look in to the laser especially when mounting things eye height.
Just to check that it was level, I used a normal spirit level and it was spot on.
Over all very pleased with this purchase
This was purchased when my son and I were remodeling the bathroom and my wife wanted a strip of mosaic feature tiles to run around the walls so as to break up the large expanse of wall tiles. The Bosch Quigo Cross Line Laser with MM02 Mount made life so much easier to make sure that the narrow band was perfectly straight. Just switch the laser on and it projects a sharp red line horizontally around all the walls Set to the height you want – we put it on a camera tripod – and draw a pencil line using a straight edge using the red laser line as a guide. It also projects a vertical line, useful when checking that the tiles are square. I was surprised how small the main unit was and because of its size you could always find somewhere to place to get the level you wanted. We did not use the supplied mount finding it a bit fiddly. It may be small but it deservs five stars.
The laser level itself gets five stars. It’s simple to use, just insert the batteries and slide up the lens cover. A bright vertical and horizontal line are projected on to whatever is in front of the unit. When it stops flashing on and off it is good to go. Accuracy is good – I have a brand new house and it lines up perfectly with all of the horizontals and verticals. It is visible in normal lighting conditions, although in bright daylight you will struggle over a couple of metres. The corners are rubberised to prevent marking and slipping. The lens cover feels a bit flimsy but otherwise it is good overall.
The brackets are less good and that is the reason I have docked a star. The one which is supposed to clip on the laser and give fine adjustment is very hard to get on to the unit. I struggled for quite a while before just leaving it partially attached. (See photo). It does hold, but not very firmly and I would be nervous about it falling if it was held high above the ground. The other clamp mount holds the laser better with a standard tripod screw, but because it is made of plastic with plastic ball joints it is very difficult to align it accurately. I found myself spending more time trying to align it than I would have saved by getting out a spirit level and pencil. It does clamp firmly to a variety of thicknesses though. But I am just going to use a camera tripod in the future.
Overall this is a really handy gadget for the home DIYer, but use a tripod to prevent frustration and make life more simple.
