It was nearly as cheap to buy this shaver as it was to replace broken foil on old one as I could not find model no.to order new foil.works well holds charge well no complaints to say.would buy same again.

I purchased this to replace a Panasonic linear motor shaver. The Panasonic was working perfectly, but blades and foils were no longer available. My main reason for choosing this one is the blade and foil availability seems to be more universal and long term than the Panasonic product. Shave seems pretty decent. Change capacity is smaller than some models, but plenty fit for purpose.

I had the previous iteration of the Braun Series 3 shaver which came with a built-in long-hair trimmer. When it stopped working after years of faithful service, I went to re-order it. Naively, I didn’t study the specification carefully enough! The shaving head is just as good as it ever was, but without the long-hair trimmer, it can take twice if not three times as long to get a clean shave. Clearly, a giant step backwards in my opinion.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had several of these shavers over the years. It’s a very good shaver. They’re not as close as a blade, but much more convenient and it’s the best I’ve found so far.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve used 3 series Braun shavers for years. They’re great. Good robust shaver, easy to recharge and lasts a decent while between charges. Remember to charge it for FOUR HOURS initially. Ni-Mh batteries need this to operate correctly. After that, just an hour for a 30 min shave. Every 6 months, run the shaver out completely by shaving then charge for an hour again for 30 mins use. I usually buy the 300s, all black shaver, but as the 310s in a nice shade of pale blue was on offer, I treated myself to the wet & dry model. Excellent shaver that gives a good close shave. Other reviews moan that you have to go over the same spot a few times. So what! You do the same when you mow the lawn. It’s no biggy going over a couple of times until your face is smooth. Get one. They’re great value for money.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPossibly the best electric I’ve ever owned. The results are really, really, good.

But, it has limitations. It can’t cope as easily with any longer, previously missed, hairs, e.g. 5-10mm.

Andso, I’ll let the 5* rating stand, as it really is good. I’ll also promise to avoid leaving any stragglers.

I was tempted to knock off a point for there not being a cleaning brush. But, I’ll let that go, this time. Braun, please take note.

Works well. A fraction of the price of other shavers. Recommended to those like me who wet shave most of the time particularly if you travel by air and use just a carryon.

The shaver arrived with enough charge inside for a test shave, which it passed with flying colours. It immediately consigned my Braun, which cost almost 3 times the price, to the box of useful things I keep for when one or both of my grandsons turns/turn up empty-handed. Exactly what the Braun would/could not give. Why oh why did I not buy this instead of that Braun?

I bought this as it was recommended by Which? and have not been disappointed. It provides a good close shave, is easy to use, and is really good value for money. Can definitely recommend.

Bought this for my teen as a Christmas gift, very easy to use, easy to hold, just the right size and weight, he’s very happy with it, but has only used a few times, will see if it lasts. If the pack includes a replacement head that would be perfect.

This is my second of this shaver. The first was returned due to a fault in the charging mechanism and reordered. I’ve used a higher priced Series 3 model for some years, replacing the cutter unit as required, so this basic model is an alternative. It’s possible, but not necessary, to pay a great deal more for a shaver of this quality, but worth noting that contrary to the description, it does not come with a hair trimmer. This is not a problem for me since my original Series 3 does have a built in trimmer.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis shaver is similar in style to one I previously owned and to be fair it does give a good shave. However, the title is a little misleading in saying it has a beard trimmer. There is a trimmer between the foils but there isn’t a separate one like my old shaver had. That is what I would call a beard trimmer, but maybe that is just me.
The other thing I don’t like about this shaver is the limited system for letting you know when the battery is running out of power. My old one had a red flashing light and you could still get a shave done even whilst that was flashing. On this one the green light to tell you it’s on flashes quickly apparently, although I haven’t noticed it doing that. It just stops mid shave! Very annoying.
Would I recommend this shaver? It gives a good shave and is relatively cheap to buy, but probably if I had spent a bit more I could have got something that was better. The old adage, ‘you only get what you pay for’ is certainly true for this product.

Nice easy to use budget electric shaver. Does a great job of a dry clean shave for up to 3 days growth. Bought to replace a 14 year old series 3 that died. It’s plastic so not quite as tactile as my old one, it also lacks the mini trimmer of my old one. That said, for the price it is a bit of a bargain and being waterproof means it is easier to clean. Battery lasts for about 2 weeks of shaving every other day.
