I have used these for years and this new design is the best one so fa
Way easier to use than my ancient epilator!! Even gets the tiny leg hairs !!! Haven’t braved the armpits yet!!!
Worked v well. Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Had a different brand before and this one is bette
I just knew this would be excellent, and by golly it is. I just wish I’d ordered the one with additional body scrubber – or whatever it’s called, as to my understanding, you can’t order more seperately.
I absolutely LOVE this epilator!!!! It was pricey, but I love using it. The charge lasts for ages, and I’m loving not having to wax or shave. Not attempting my nether regions, but everything else is smooth for ages. Would highly recommend!!!!
The Braun Silk-pil 9 Flex is expensive but good value. The epilator took half the time to do my legs than my previous one due to the wider head.
Highly recommend this epilator!
The best epilator ever! I had few BRAUN, all of them amazing, bit this is the most efficient and fast! Is painless then the others. Not advise to use on the shower.
I do not usually write product reviews but this product is definitely worthy of one! I have had several epilators over the years this has been game changer, it is fast much faster and so much less painful when used in water, i 100% recommended it, it is worth every penny!
I really can’t emphasise enough how important it is to exfoliate beforehand, at least a day before you plan on using it.
It’s early days as only been using this for a few weeks now but there is definitely a difference on my face and legs. A little painful and does leave a rash on your face the first few times of use, but leaves your skin feeling smooth and hair free.
Oh my gosh, the most amazing and magical epilator ever! No pain at all!! I have used it all over my body and there is no pain at all! At first I was paranoid thinking it must be shaving the hair, it can’t possibly epilating with no pain, but after 4 weeks my body is still hair free, silky and smooth!! I’m going to get another one. A great purchase!
It would be great if it had a charging stand and it must be the way I hold it but as the power button on this model is a sensor button rather than a twist button like the old one I easily switch it off as my finger naturally falls in to the position of the button when holding. This was a bit annoying at first but I’m getting more used to it now. Wish they’d bought this one out years ago as it’s fab!
I was a little wary of this as over the years I’ve heard stories about how painful this can be but thought I’d give it a go, I tried it on my legs first and yes it is like waxing but you do get used to it and it does remove hair better than a razor, I tried it in the bath and once my legs were wet I tried again and it wasn’t painful at all, the exfoliation brush make your skin feel really fresh and clean, it’s fully flexible and does get into awkward areas, it does seem quite expensive but once you’ve tried this you will see it’s fully with the money
My gf purchased this, her review –
This was my first time using an epilator. It did hurt quite a bit at the start but it’s not unbearable and think it’s a pretty good bit of kit. I would recommend purchasing ingrown hair treatment gel and aloe vera gel, as this has really helped my skin after epilating and when the hairs start to grow back. Overall I’m pretty happy and would recommend to first timers and anyone looking to upgrade their epilator!
I love this epilator. I used Brown epilator for 10 years so was curious whats out there on the market. Honestly didn’t expect much difference as it ultimately does the same thing. But firstly it feels very comfortable in hand when used, its quiet and it adjusts to your shape so easily. Also it works so quick, like u go slowly through path of hair once and hair is gone. I had to run my previous epilator through one patch 3-4 times before hair was gone. Shaver attachment works well too. Thanks
This epilator/razor set comes in a lovely suede like case that holds all the attachments which is great as it stops any bits getting misplaced.
I began by using the razor. I normally use a manual disposable razor and found this Braun one gave a much smoother shave. I also like that it can be used both wet and dry.
I have tried the epilator and found it a little uncomfortable but not enough to stop using it. I found the hairs took longer to grow back and when they did they were much softer.
Although this set may seem a little expensive it would make a brilliant pressie.
I’m really impressed with this Braun 9 flex epilator and will not go back to using a disposable the difference is the finished shave is amazing
The Braun Silk-pil 9 Flex Epilator is just a little bigger than a traditional razor style shaver but electric and so much better.
The set comes with a case, charging lead, shaver and several other heads alongside a manual.
The three heads are the standard shaver head, working like a normal shaver but, according to my wife, much better on the skin, a Deep Body Exfoliation Brush which sort of massages the skin as it exfoliates, leaving it shiny and soft and the all-important Epilator head, which removes hair well without too much pain. The epilator also has another set of attachments that can go on top that massages as it cuts, though it does reduce the cutting power and one for the face.
My wife was the guinea pig, as usual, and really liked the way this effortlessly removed hair, especially around areas that she would normally have more pain and problems waxing, like the bikini line.
The shaver can be used wet or dry and is cordless, so you can easily take this in to the shower or use it dry.
Amazing Epilator! I have used Epilator for years but this really exceeded my expectations! I managed to do My legs, underarms and bikini line all in the bath and the water took most of the pain away! After the bathI used the shaver application on my bikini line and it was also fantastic!
I just wish I upgraded my epilator ages ago!
Totally recommend this product and it came in a nice bag to keep it all in too!
I’ve try these on thick and fine hair ,it’s good for both and less painful than my others braun epilators.
Because is not cheap I was afraid that is not worth the money, but I am so happy that I make the choice to buy it .
It is well-known for most women that epilators are small units of torture. No matter how sleek, how aesthetic they look, they’re portable little units designed to provide pain in exchange for smooth legs and underarms.
The Braun Silk-pil 9 Flex was a better deal than most. I found it easy to use, especially with the flexible head. I didn’t have that much pain, either, and not just because I’m used to the epilating process. It seems to work quietly and quickly, and perhaps it’s the speed that makes the difference.
It’s super easy to clean out and to store. Honestly it’s worth it to be able to throw out the endless array of shavers, creams, foams, and moisturisers.
Be careful with the shaver… it’s so sharpe that it’s really easy to cut yourself in the delicate areas.
Overall the shaver is really quick to use on the legs.
Recommended!
Amazon service was great as usual…I got the order the next day.
However, my set wasn’t fully complete as I received it missing the deep massage pad. This is disappointing considering the vast price of the epilator and Braun as a best selling company.
I’m generally impressed with this product.however am very disappointed as the massage cap was missing( the head attachment was included) so I can use that unfortunately .
A lot to pay out for something to be missing!
It is a good looking machine in white with gold accents, it is ergonomically designed making it comfortable to hold and use. It’s perfect for the face, arms, underarms legs, chest and bikini area.
This epilator has a fully flexible head which adapts to the contours of your body as well as micro grip technology and a wider head making the removal of hair process quick and relatively painless. It comes with a shaver head which is perfect for your underarms and other sensitive areas. It also has a useful and reasonably effective exfoliation brush which adds another dimension to your grooming routine.
This particular machine which is the Braun Silk Epil 9-010 comes complete with the epilator head, shaver head, trimmer head, exfoliation body brush, premium pouch/bag, cleaning brush and charger.
I gave this particular machine to my daughter in law to use and she found this machine very easy to use on her legs and she was especially impressed with the ability to shave under her arms without nicking her skin.
Interestingly this machine can be used in the bath and even completely under water this really helped my daughter-in-law achieve super smooth skin totally devoid of any hair in the areas on her body that she chose.
All in all my daughter in law is really happy with this Braun Silk Epil 9-010 and feels the results speaks for themselves.
1. There are various sets that vary in the range of attachments – some sets have more than one exfoliation brush and a shower massage pad, besides in the more expensive sets, the actual device is waterproof.
2. The actual device is very well-made, has two speed modes and is easy to use
3. It does need to be charged prior to use, but the charger needs a UK adapter
4. It is not particularly pain-free and does not give you super smooth legs, but leaves a day stubble feeling;
5. The best thing is that there is significantly less hair growing after and this is worth the price a few times over!
Although I was testing the cheapest of the models, I am quite impressed and have found it a good value for money, as it is a good device that does exactly what you expect from it.
Not to sure why this ones like double the price of the other braun epilator i got to test. The other one was 80 cheaper yet looks and had more items in it! Don’t get me wrong this item is absolutely amazing1 Can’t fault it one bit, everything is very safe to use, works a treat and is built to last being braun branded. You get the epilator head, a trimmer head and a shaver head. All work well and is a great all round kit. Reason for the 4 stars is the fact I managed to test another one by braun at the same time. That kit was 80 cheaper and basically had the same style epilator but also a separate bikini trimmer which is mint. I would rather save the money and buy that one! All thats different is this epilator has a 180 swivel head.
Money aside I really like this epilators, it is great that it works wet or dry, really good it can get wet so you can easily clean our hairs after using, the light is great, the different heads are also great, I don’t have the full amount of heads shown in this advert, I must have the smaller set, charges well and holds charge well. I would pay 60-80 max for this item
On opening the box I was pleasantly surprised to see that it comes with a nice carry case to hold the epilator and all the attachments, which I thought was a good touch and makes it easy to store and take with you when traveling.
As it can be used both wet and dry, I tried both. I would definitely say it’s much more pleasant to use in the bath or shower. The results are great and far superior to shaving in terms of instant smoothness but also with far longer lasting results.
I especially liked the deep body exfoliation brush, which left my skin feeling super soft and smooth.
While it seems a lot to fork out for a beauty gadget, I do think it’s worth the investment and would highly recommend it.
Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.
It is interesting to see that some people are saying laser is the way to go. We have a very expensive Phillips IPL and it just doesn’t get used. She prefers to grin and bear it with the epilator (yes it hurts but it really isn’t that bad) and it gives a really smooth result.
Overall, there are cheaper options which work well but if you want something good and expensive, it’s a good choice
Okay, so my wife does use this, and she loves the head that moves. She says that it has a really close and smooth finish.
The only downside to this is that it is ridiculously expensive. Like that is so much money, that’s a good few waxes you could pay for.
So the product is really good. The price is not. Hense only giving it 4 stars.
As well as a nice slim rechargeable power handle which is comfortable to grip, you get three heads to attach to it, which snap on or off easily. It has two speeds and I got around 45 minutes of operation from one charge on the slower speed.
1. Epilator
2. Shaver
3. Exfoliator brush
The Epilator is a wide rotating tweezer that plucks hairs as short as 0.5mm from their roots. Three caps are supplied for different skin areas, including the face.
The Shaver is a standard foil type that can shave quite closely and is good for getting quick results very comfortably, as well as doing sensitive areas painlessly. It has a trimmer-comb cap to trim longer hair.
The Exfoliator brush head is a rotating brush with two stiffnesses of bristle. The idea is to go over the skin a couple of days before epilating to avoid the risk of ingrown hair by removing dead skin cells. The exfoliating brush is itself is detachable, washable and replaceable. It comes with a ventilated cap.
The nice thing about this product is that it’s waterproof. Safe to use in the bathroom, it can be used in the bath or shower without problems. I note though that it must be unplugged from a power source before use, for safety reasons. Indeed, it won’t switch on if the cord is plugged in.
There is a bright light on the handle that comes on to show up hairs as you work along, with a red warning that appears if you’re being too enthusiastic with the pressure.
This a very attractive set, with a zipped case with three compartments, to keep everything in. The build-quality is excellent with lovely gold touches of trim. A Quick Guide and a full User Manual explain all the features very well and I became familiar with using it very quickly.
It’s not the cheapest in the Braun range but offers good value. There’s a 2-year international guarantee as standard.
I can’t say I’m particularly into hair removal, apart from tidying my beard, so this is based on comments from my wife. There’s basically nothing particularly pleasant in the activity of pulling hairs out, so this was never going to be a comfortable device to use. Since it’s waterproof it can be used in the shower or bath, and I’m reliably informed this makes extracting hair a little less painful. The epilator works well enough, and the addition of a shaver/trimmer and an exfoliator (basically an electric scrubbing brush) means there’s a decent variety of options for female body grooming. Design and quality wise it’s great, as would be expected from a brand such as Braun. This all comes at a price though, this is not a cheap product. The battery is apparently good for up to 50 minutes, so should be ok for a few uses before it needs recharging.
Overall, a good though relatively pricey product for hair removal.
This is a very expensive epilator, RRP is just over300! I wouldn’t pay that much for this product even though it does give excellent results. There are other epilators that are just as efficient but better priced.
One thing that it comes with that is very important is the exfoliator attachment. It’s important to do this when epilating as it helps to prevent ingrowing hairs.
I won’t lie, it is painful to start with but my wife was pleased with the overall effect and she is definitely getting better at using it. You will need to commit to it if you decide to buy it. My wife perhaps hadn’t perhaps realised how much effort it would be to convert to epilating!
It’s fantastic that’s it’s waterproof and it definitely helps to do in the bath initially as it’s slightly less painful. It also has a light which really helps you see what you are doing.
When epilating you have two head options ‘skin contact’ which just plucks the hairs straight out and ‘massage cap’ which hurts less but doesn’t do as thorough a job. My wife started with the massage one and now she uses the skin one.
She advises prepping and exfoliating your skin for a week or so before epilating otherwise you’ll get ingrown hairs, like she did! For this use the massager attachment which has two skin brushes, great for exfoliating, and a rubber massager which she used to rub in lotion at the end of the whole process. Now she does this regularly which helps overall skin smoothness.
The final attachment for the main unit is a shaver with a foil for short hairs, such as armpits, and a trimmer for longer hairs, such as your bikini line. Both work well and again it’s just getting used to the pain.
The FaceSpa kit looks equally good, a different base unit with a face epilator attachment and several skin brushes. My wife hasn’t tried these yet as she’s anxious about using on her face as she has quite sensitive skin.
Overall a lot of kit for your money. If you are already epilating then this would be ideal but even as a beginner it was easy to use and clear after reading the instructions what to do. As with anything it does take time to fully adapt to it and pick up as easily as a razor.
Instructions from User Manual: Approx 2hrs to charge from flat which provides approx 50mins use if used within 24hrs of that charge (assume this means the battery depletes faster if not used regularly). Alternatively a 15min charge gives approx 10mins of use. There’s a free Braun infoline telephone No. 0800 783 7010.
In use the first thing I noticed was how much quieter (not silent) it is than the one I currently use and how much easier to manoeuvre with the flexible head. Results from the epilator are excellent, no snapped hairs, no stubble just a lovely smooth finish. I have epilated regularly for years and found the Skin Contact Cap perfect for me as it is so quick and efficient. Has a great bright light so even on a dull day it was easy for me to see what I was doing. The exfoliator brush left my skin squeaky clean ready for epilation and the razor is just as efficient and had no problem coping with longer hair and no next day rash. Overall a great piece of kit that is kept protected in it’s fo-suede sectioned case.
Currently priced at 159.99 but the recommended retail price is 319.99
I think it is expensive at either price.
Like any Epilator, it hurts for the first couple of times, but anyone who has endured waxing will be fine with that.
What makes this particular gadget good is that you can use it whilst in the bath or shower.
That is a very big plus point for me.
Easy to grip, too and the flexible head makes it an even more attractive choice.
Haven’t used the exfoliating brush head but I think it is a nice addition.
The instruction booklets are very good and are in 24 languages so one of those languages will probably be right for you. The set looks and feels very good quality and has a non slip handle and is the world’s first epilator with a flexible head. The flexible head gets into those awkward places with no effort at all. The razor is 40% wider so removes more hair in one stroke. The first time you use it put it on the slow setting and use it in the bath or shower (it is cordless) as it doesn’t hurt so much under water, also it’s a good idea to stretch your skin with your other hand whilst using the epilator, I followed this advice and although there was very slight pain it was hardly anything, I didn’t find it a worry at all and I have sensative skin and it gets less and less every time you use it. The new hair shouldn’t appear for maybe 4 weeks and it will be lighter and finer. Always exfoliate first as this reduces the risk of ingrowing hairs and I must say the exfoliating attachment on this is marvellous, far better than any exfoliating sponge that I have had. You can use this exfoliater on very short hair 0.5mm. It leaves your skin looking wonderfully soft and smooth. This set is expensive but it should last for years and is definately worth the money
Whilst I was given this product to review the first thing I notices was the price which is much higher than similar products I have tried.
The epilator itself is great – I particularly love the rechargeable aspect and the swiveling head.
The cost seems to be due to the extra gadgets – such as the exfoliator and massage. I won’t use either of these and would have thought it much more sensible to take these out and reduce the price. The storage bag is lovely and will keep all the bits and pieces together.
It you’ve never tried this method for hair removal then you should as it is really easy and certainly no more painful than waxing or cutting yourself shaving.
