I had to move from Philips to this one due to high price tag on the cartridges. These are much better and more affordable and do the exact same job.

This Brita Filter is easy to set up and the water is clear and crisp. I wanted to stop buying bottles of water and this Brita Filter is the perfect solution to help save money and reduce plastic usage. Do your bit for the environment and invest in a Brita Filter.

Slim, trim, and fits nicely in my small fridge door. The opening for easy filling is a good addition. If I had a bigger fridge, I would have got a bigger jug, ’cause it gets a lot of use.

Does exactly what it should, normal tap water tastes awful compared to lovely filtered water!

Also just to say we had a cracked jug but it was swapped asap for a new one with no issues whatsoever, impressed with the response!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe’ve used these jugs for many years now and have always been happy with them. I had to buy another recently and I like this new design. The lid is now a flip up mechanism which stays in place while you fill the jug with water and then you just flip it down. The other design with a flip down hatch was good in principle but it sometimes didn’t flip back up fully. The refilling opening is slightly larger now which is good. I think they’ve also made the spout slightly pointier so it pours better. The look and feel of the design has also been refreshed so it’s a great improvement all round.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to replace a cheaper retailer own brand jug and I wish I had bought it originally. With my old jug I had to wait for all of the water to filter after filling up, otherwise it would leak badly when poured. This jug however, let’s you top up and pour whilst the water is still filtering. I now regret the year of my life I spent waiting for my old jug to fully filter…

I use this to filter our home water supply for the ice cube machine on the fridge/freezer. It seems to keep the taste of the cubes a bit ‘cleaner’ but that might be more perception that reality. I wouldn’t put all our personal water consumption through it for tea and coffee etc, most of that comes out of the tap. However for the gin & tonic or a grownup cocktail then yes.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI had a cheap Aqua Optima filter jug for a few years and whilst it worked, I needed to order more filters and decided now was the time to upgrade. I live in a hard water area and drink a lot of water so felt it was important to go for quality. This only arrived yesterday so I got straight to putting the filter in and flushing it through a few times.
The water tastes…pure. I can’t think of a better way to explain it but there is definitely a difference and that is compared to a cheaper filter, let alone straight tap water. Well worth the price!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Very easy to mount, and is plug and play. Just submerge the filter separately in a recipient full of water for a few minutes before attaching it to the body.

Filtering is relatively instantaneous, and filtered water has very neutral and pleasant taste, not like some brands that leave weird aftertastes.

    Would definitely recommend.
The little manual filter lifespan indicator system is also really smart amd useful

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI’ve been using the BRITA Marella water filter jug for about a month now and I’m really impressed with it. It’s a great option for anyone who wants to improve the taste of their tap water, but doesn’t want to spend a fortune on bottled water.

The jug itself is well-designed and fits easily in a standard UK fridge. It has a capacity of 2.4 litres, which is enough for me to get through a day without having to refill it. The filter is easy to change and the jug is dishwasher-safe, so it’s very low-maintenance.

The water that comes out of the jug tastes noticeably cleaner and crisper than tap water. It’s not quite as good as spring water, but it’s a lot closer than I expected. I’ve found that it makes a big difference to the taste of tea and coffee, and it’s also great for drinking on its own.

In terms of cost, the BRITA Marella is much cheaper than bottled water. A pack of 3 filter cartridges costs around 10, which will last you about 3 months – this is a fraction of how much I used to spend on bottled water and is more environmentally friendly, as it reduces plastic waste.

Overall, I’m really impressed with the BRITA Marella water filter jug. It’s a great way to improve the taste of your tap water, save money, and be more environmentally friendly. I highly recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is my second purchase of the jug. I like the style, colour and the filter reading device on top. The purchase includes the jug, the top and 2 filters. Good value for money

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe BRITA Marella fridge water filter jug is a reliable choice for clean and refreshing water. With its included MAXTRA+ filter cartridges, it effectively reduces chlorine, limescale, and impurities. The 2.4L capacity is convenient, and the sustainable Smart Box packaging is a bonus. A great choice for improving the taste and quality of tap water.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this Britta water filtering jug to improve our water, and it does the job well. Our water here in Greater Manchester is quite soft and when drinking it, it gave a little tickle at the back of my throat making me cough. Since having the Britta Filter jug I’ve had no such problem and the water tastes much nicer, and tea too. Happy I bought it now and would recommend. Doesn’t quite fit straight in our Hoover fridge but I can live with it.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI am shocked at why I didn’t get this sooner.

We used to pour tapwater straight into the kettle and as a result of that there would be limescale in a kettle 24 seven and almost over, and after every use, you could see the limescale at the bottom of the kettle. However, ever since using this product For a week and a half, I’ve not seen an inch of limescale in a kettle and no that is filtering the water very well because our kettle is clean and I’m assuming the water is also much cleaner than before us as well. We do use spring water to drink normally however I thought this would be a good addition to filter out tap water before pouring into a kettle so that way we do save money and we are drinking clean water at the same time . I really do recommend this and I’m really impressed at how long filter has lasted.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe needed filtered water to boil for a breathing ventilator machine (inbuilt humidifier) This is ideal as I fill it up as needed and keep the jug in the fridge door. It’s so handy! I also use it for my daughter’s drinking water as she has health issues.
This saves me having to buy filtered sterile water, bottled water or worry about the chlorine content in our tap water as I know this is all now being safely removed.
The cartridges are recyclable also and being a recycling freak, it’s good to know I’m not piling through loads of plastic bottles. I’m a true convert and should have got one sooner!

Really pleased with my purchase. My friend commented on the taste of her coffee being so much nicer. The only downside was that there was no rubber on the bottom of the jug and so I think with lots of use in the same place on your counter top it would probably scratch it. I put mine on a table mat so this won’t happen.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI had one of the Brita classic jugs for many years and finally decided to upgrade. This new design Brita took me by surprise with the neat design features – especially the rather clever ‘time to change the filter’ smart detector – would be intrigued to know how it works. It was nice to see in the product manual that the new design filters remove lead, as I have a lead pipe under my house for the last bit of mains water delivery before the taps, so this jug backed by Brita’s high technical standards does exactly what I need. The first taste after the setup process was superb, I had no idea my tap water could taste that good! It also makes for excellent tasting filter coffee. My only downside is that it’s rather slow to fill, quite a bit slower than the classic jug and old style filters – on the other hand, maybe they’re doing more, so perhaps that’s not too big a price to pay. The capacity is good but also a bit less than the classic jug. Very good value though I think overall.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThese are not easy to keep clean over time – so this is the third consecutive purchase. They are great for keeping cool water available, and fit well into a fridge door. There is a “timer” in the lid, intended to remind you when the filter is due for replacement – on previous models, it stopped working after a while, and in any event it is not the passage of time that determines the need to change the filter, but the volume of water that has been filtered. This particular one has a problem in that the lid keeps falling off while pouring, and has to be held in place with a thumb: This was not an issue with previous models so is a quality assurance issue. Should probably send it back to Amazon, but persevering with the thumb at the moment. Despite all of the foregoing, this is a useful and cheap way of having cold, filtered water.

This Brita Marella Water Filter Jug arrived with three filters. My initial impression was that the plastic seemed quite flimsy. Getting the unit going by installing the filter, filling the jug and setting the usage indicator is simple.

The Marella is easy to fill and the jug fits snugly in the door shelf of my fridge. The filters are quick to fit and change although I would like more clarity about the requirement to immerse them in cold water before use – for how long? The usage memo works okay, although the reset is a bit fiddly. Overall, the unit is easy to clean.

Filling the jug from the tap is easy thanks to the hinged lid and I like the fact that there’s a cover to the spout although it does seem a bit fragile and I wonder how long it will last. The jug is well balanced and pouring is easy plus the water doesn’t track the outside of it. After sampling the water it does make a huge difference to the taste which is important to me as I’m trying to wean myself off several cans of soft drinks a day. I now use this jug several times a day.

In summary, this Brita jug does make a real difference to the taste/appeal of water although it does seem a bit more flimsy than I expected.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis has literally changed my life.
As someone who hates tap water and my home providing beautiful fresh, soft water but stinking of chlorine I spent a lot of money on bottles of water.
My daughter had purchased one of these for herself and her children and I tried it when visiting I was so impressed I immediately ordered my own one.
I got one with 3 filters as I didnt want it to end up being another purchase used for the first wee while then put in a cupboard.
Let me tell you this eont be the case, I fill it up, allow the filter time to empty then fill again and our in the fridge, next morning I have a big jug full of perfectly cold, crisp, beautiful tasting water.
Do follow the instructions as i didnt do the first two cycles that was recommended and to throw it away, it tasted metallic but after a couple of days (full cycles) its wonderful, no bubbles attaching to the side of your glass as is often the case with tap water.
I bought a nice big water bottle and fill it up daily to take out with me and even my kids are choosing water over juice now
One filter lasts approx a month which is great value and the handy display on top let’s you know when its time to renew filter so you dont forget.
Jug looks really nice, I bought the blue one and would look fine on the table as well.
    Highly recommend this produc
