A premium BT product in high-quality plastic. Works perfectly as you’d expect for a BT product and will last for many years. I wall-mounted mine – very easy with the slotted holes on the back.
Only bought this as a backup, digital phones started playing up needed this to test line and put us on till sorted. Apparently won’t need for long we’ll be on voip phones soo
These is a good little phone for say the kitchen wall
With 3 ring setting
Good build quality
Also bearable, but not good if you are hearing impaired
Has not let me/us dow
Nice slimline phone. The ring volume can be adjusted from loud to soft to mute. Sound quality of the calls are clear. It has a 10 speed dial menu which is easy to programme. There is the redial button along with the mute button. All round this is a good phone for the money. I got it simply because I have a small side table with a larger phone so this one fits a lot easier on the table without knocking things about while picking the phone up & putting it back down.
BT build quality and performance, cant beat it in my opinion.
Most home now have walkabout rechargeable type phones that rely of communications via the base unit that is connected to the mains and BT line. When the mains fails, the walkabout phone will not work. This is when the trusty BT phone comes into play and works as it only needs power from the telephone line.
Get one for emergency’s!
For those who don’t understand, this is a non mobile phone. You plug the wire into a socket, you press the numbers and then if you are really lucky you will hear a voice that is not your own. Use it to order a take away when you forget this is the year 2023
I wanted a small phone for the bedroom and this is perfect, it has volume control and ringer off option. Super long cable, sits neatly on the wall and easy to use. Very pleased with it.
The phone works OK but the ringer volume, even on highest volume setting, is disappointingly quiet. It is basic and doesn’t have the ability to link to a hearing aid.
It isn’t dependent on mains supply, so will continue to work during a power-cut.
Bought because our cordless phones don’t work in a power cut and we have no mobile signal. This phone just plugs into the BT socket and gives a dialing tone. Needs no batteries or electricity. Recent storms meant we used it to find out about the power cut (dialed 105) but more importantly, we could phone 999 in an emergency. A small price to pay for peace of mind. Only downside is that it’s a little quiet so only 4 stars for sound quality.
The phone is realy nice, especially the design. It has a red light that flashes when the phone rings and you can also set the ringer to silent, low or loud. You can mute the microphone while you are on a call. You also have the possibility to save 10 number in the phone (haven’t tried this function yet).
The reason why i gave 4 stars is because for Ireland you need to buy additional connector as the phone is made for the UK market.
These phone looks unobtrusive and sit nicely on the bedside table. The main problem I have is that there is one line from the socket through the base to the receiver and that line isn’t ‘that’ long. I have the phone socket one side of the double bed and would prefer the phone on the other side of the double bed, but the line isn’t long enough to reach. I can’t use my old line as this one is integral to the curly bit at the receiver end. The other slight issue is that the receiver can easily be knocked slightly off the base unit.
For the money, this is an excellent, well made, attractive and reliable phone. It will work on BT lines and lines installed by Virgin Media. Again, it has a good memory facility for the price. Good, long leads are provided. I did have a slight problem that the curly handset lead tended to pull the base off its side table, but this is a very minor niggle, and probably would not be experienced on a desk top, where the user would extend the curly lead less than I did. It is versatile too, being wall-mountable. Both leads are provided, and the one from the base to the wall is a good length. I wanted this phone, because the crazy Virgin package offer on broadband and tv made it cheaper to have a phone line which is unused, than to exclude it.(In this particular application, the phone can be used to make free service calls, which in my experience can often be time consuming and useless). If you have a powered, wireless phone network in your home, this phone would make a useful emergency phone, because it goes on working during a power cut. Overall, I like it very much.
