Just make sure you’re charging the battery directly (if it’s not under the hood, it’s gotta be under the driver’s seat, or on certain Nissan vans is in the floor compartment on the passenger’s side which is ludicrous). The port under the hood on my transit didn’t charge it well enough,so I presume other vehicles would have the same issue.
Used jump pack a number of times now, worked everytime with very little drain on capacity. Used once on car, Land Rover Defender Puma and several times on generators in welfare units. Could have done with a bag to keep it in however in terms of performance and value iys just as good as more exspensive brand leaders
Bought the Buture jump starter pack as an emergency, just in case purchase, in case my car’s battery goes flat. Reading the reviews, it sounds ideal for my needs.
It arrived with 3/4 charge already so I topped it up using the included USB cable so it was fully charged and ready. It came well packed in a presentation box with the jump pack, clear instructions, jump leads that you connect to your car and the pack and a USB charger cable.
I’ve not had to use it yet but feel reassured it is there in case. The pack can also be used as a moblie powerbank for charging other devices via the USB ports and it also has a built in torch / flashing led light.
Edit – have now had to use this jump pack after a completely dead battery on my Ford Smax 2.0l diesel 4×4 on a cold, frosty morning. It worked an absolute treat and the car fired up first time. Had to use it again later that evening as the battery had drained again and it did the job once more. The pack still had enough power in it without being rexharged. Really, really impressed with this little bit of kit. Everyone should have one!
I like that is very easy to use and it’s very fast to charge devices.
I don’t use yet as a car jump starter but reading the manual Looks very easy to do that.
Great for its size and money. My friends have a guarage and have been using one for a couple of years. There’s is fading a little but still gives a few starts. So I bought one.
Started my 1.9 diesel that was fully run down with ease.
I purchased to carry in the car for a trip to France. We spotted a French person with a flat battery in a car park and I thought it would be good to help and test this product at the same time. Once connected the car started first time and barely drained it. He was impressed such a little device could do this and so was I.
What an excellent piece of kit. So compact but so powerful. I hope I don’t need to use it but after having a couple of battery problems, I bought this for a back up. It is a quality power pack, well made and simple to use. Well worth the price, not much dearer than a good set of jump leads.
The product works perfectly and I am able to use this with no issues. The power has been consistent and the added torch does help during night time. It has been a savior in small package.
Excellent product, started the car with ease, handy bit of kit to carry in the boot, very happy with it, have used to charge phones also, will recommend to friends and family.
Charged and ready to go. Leads just reach, could be a little longer, but my vans terminals are spaced out where you jump it under bonnet. Battery under seat. Will review post when I get to use it.
Outstanding bit of kit. Works just as described and as it should. Absolutely perfect. Great size too. Charged this and started my car with it after a flat battery, started first time and the battery of the starter is still showing full charge so this is excellent. Small enough to even fit in a car glove box!
What an excellent product!! Great quality and robust and small for such a powerful output. I went for this uprated 2000A model.
I had a small problem with registering for the 3 year warranty but this was very quickly sorted by excellent and fast customer support.
I have bought this Buture portable emergency jump starter just in case my car battery goes flat. I’m hoping I never have to use it but I’m also hoping that, if I do need it, it will get my car started.
It feels fairly substantial but only time will tell.
I have not used the jump starter in anger but better to have one with good reviews and not need it than not have one and be stuck.
UPDATE!
Neighbours car had flat battery yesterday, connected up jump starter waited for green light and it started her car first push of the button amazing piece of kit.
Until I can locate a battery drain on my car I needed something compact with enough power the start the car.
It’s brilliant for such a small item.
The manufacturer states on one charge it will start 25 times. Also it will start a petrol engine up to 8 litres and 6.5 litres for a diesel.
It will also charge your mobile phone and other items.
It has a built in torch too.
I’m very pleased so far.
When charging the unit make sure the charger has enough output.
I bought this not too long ago but haven’t had to use it yet thankfully. However, I like the design of the product, it’s lightweight and is sold at a good price. Other than that, I’m hoping I don’t need to find out whether it works or not.
The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because I haven’t used it yet. So I don’t want to misdirect anyone
EDIT: A family member needed help with her battery which have me the opportunity to use this thing. I now give it 5 stars! It was very fast and simple to use.
I was apprehensive about this product and whether or not it would work on a hybrid vehicle.
It seems well made, is compact (far less bulky than jump leads), arrived well packaged and with clear instructions.
After an initial charge which took far less than the 5 hours stated by the manufacturer, it started a 3.5 litre petrol car on the first attempt and continued to show a full charge.
This device is small and light so its effectiveness seems all the more impressive.
It also comes with a 3 year warranty.
It is recommended the device be charged every 3 months or so which is likely to take much less time than the initial charge.
Highly recommended!
Whilst camping, managed to run the battery flat. Camp site owner had one of these. One boost did the trick. On our return home we purchased one straight away. Used it twice already for fellow campers. Great tool
It’s a really good product and it helped me in a emergency situation. Thanks a lo
The machine looks very good and I have only given 4stars instead of 5stars as I haven’t had to use it yet. My car battery is doing it’s job at the moment but has let me down a couple of times recently – battery and alternator was checked at Halfords and said to be ok – assuming that was correct I am unsure what caused the battery to fail to start the car twice.
Anyway, I have a lot more confidence with the BUTURE onboard and am also carrying jump leads as a secondary backup – let’s see what happens – fingers crossed.
Brilliant piece of kit, no more waiting for someone with jump leads!
Note: I haven’t used this as a starter yet, I will update this review after actually using it.
The unit is surprisingly light, which is a bonus as it will be in the car all the time. The connectors seem decent quality. I thought the USB charge sockets and light is a good selling point, if I break down at night I’ll be reaching for this as it has 4 light modes, one of them being flashing between red and blue light, like a police strobe, effective for being seen. The instructions say charge every 3-6 months even if not in use, so I will make sure to do that to keep it in topped up condition.
I really like the compact size. The integrated flashlight is a good feature as is the USB out sockets.
Hopefully I don’t need it but glad to have it for peace of mind
Looks like a good price of kit haven’t used yet buy reviews it’s high key rated looks sturdy well presented in box
Haven’t had to use as a jump start device yet but it is very compact with nice build quality, slight negative is it has no case to store it in.
Well, it’s early days of course. I received it and gave it a full charge. I measured the input current at around 2A via the USB-C socket, and that is about as fast a charge as you can expect with this sort of thing.
It just happened that my neighbour’s car had been sat unused for over a year and so I had an opportunity to check that the jump starter actually worked. I measured that car’s battery at 0.9v, so totally, totally dead. I followed the instructions, connected the jump starter to the car battery, turned the key, and it started with no hesitation at all. It was a smallish petrol car, 1.6 litres maybe. It was still showing 100% charge after starting that car.
So, I feel better having used this device once successfully. The point of course is to leave it in the car in case my battery ever fails, so I feel better now I know that it does actually work.
The unit itself it pretty light – about 450 grammes. It charges quickly. It works. It feels fairly robust. It doesn’t come with a case, but that’s no big deal as any case would probably be the wrong shape for wherever I wanted to stash it in the car. But I’m sure I can sew up a little bag to hold it and the cable together. You’d also want to keep the manual with it, as there are no instructions printed on the device itself. (How hard would that have been?) It’s not obvious which connection should be made first, and by the time you need the thing you will have forgotten which connection to make first and which last, so a bag or case that holds the unit together with the cables and the manual is essential in my opinion. Or you could just store it in its cardboard retail packaging if that will fit in whatever cubby hole you have planned to keep it in.
They recommend checking its charge state every three months and charging it every three-to-six months, and that is annoying for an item that will not be regularly used. In a way it might be better to use the unit as a power bank regularly so as to avoid the risk of it losing its charge in the boot of your car and then not being charged when you come to need it. It’s just the nature of Lithium Ion batteries, or any batteries really, that they will always lose a certain percentage of charge every month.
This is brilliant, for such a small device that fits in your glove box, few hours on charge, and you have enough charges to jump start your car 20 times. Connected mine up, and started instantly. I have a 2.2l Diesel, and it was no issue. Definitely worth having one in the family for that emergency.
he mechanic in me refused to believe that these were going to work, well folks i was wrong. bought one, topped up the charge then proceeded to start my diesel mercedes my 1967 vauxhall and my 1100cc motorbike, all of which were totally dead through lack of use due to illness.
I believe everyone should have one of these, especially if your car battery is not as it should be having one in your car means you’ll never be caught out with a flat battery.
I have used this jump starter on my 2 litre engine and it starts without any effort.
It is very compact and will fit nicely in your glove compartment.
I feel very confident knowing I won’t be let down with a battery problem again.
Excellent piece of kit, small enough to fit in the glove box. Wish I’d got one of these a long time ago.
Haven’t had to use them yet but they look the part.
I wasnt too hopeful when I first bought this as I have petrol 3.2L Merc CLK320 & on the face of it this power pack looks inadequate But boy! It fired up my Merc with just one turn of the key! My car is barely driven now after the covid stuff & I work from home – the battery often goes flat . I had a mains trickle charger which is fine but you have to either drag mains cable out to the car or take the battery out & charges over night. This has solved all thoese gripes . The pack cfully charges in 3 hours, is lightweight & easy to connect & it WORKS! Started up the car 3 times without needing a re-charge – I even take it with me now in the car just in case . Highly recommended & deserves all 5 stars *****
First impressions are good. Seems to be well built, the torch is very bright, and usb charging will be useful.
Our 2.0ltr diesel wouldn’t start due to a low battery, connected the jump start to car battery, and car started at the first attempt. Exactly what I bought it for.
My car is for 2008 and has a tired battery . I have to make sure to run the battery every day . This jumoer saved me from buying a new battery and I can take it anywhere with me or give it to friends to use it.
I am very happy with it so far. My partner is happy too
