These were a good deal cheaper than an identical looking set from another supplier on here, so I was worried about the quality of them but I needn’t have. They do the job nicely and look great imo. Very simple to install. I used them to replace 2 malfunctioning lights at the front of our new house. Unlike the lights these replaced, these don’t have a motion sensor . So I bought some smart GU10 bulbs to replace the ones that come with this, hooked it up to Alexa and now have them triggering whenever the ring doorbell senses a human outside. All working like a charm.
Our home has pebbledash, so I couldn’t get these to sit flush on the wall, so would recommend fashioning some kind of backboard for them if you have similar issues or do what I’ve done and use some silicon sealant to prevent water getting in behind the mounting plate.
Specifically searched for a disk til dawn and was pleased to see this light as we liked the way it looked. Checked the box on arrival and it says photocell on the box but this appears to be some manual tick list and the light is not dusk til dawn! Fiddly to fit due to the small retaining screws which are accessed on the mount at the top and bottom so without VERY long fingers it’s a pain to get them in. Going to try and get a refund but not hopeful now it’s been fitted / removed
EDIT – to be fair to the seller their customer service has been excellent and a refund is progressing so adjusting the rating to reflect the overall service.
I would recommend you use the rubber rings provided as this helps to keep the water out. At the cable entry point a bit of silicon will also improve the water resistantance.
My only con so far is I feel one light is not bright enough for a garage or big spaces. For a porch one light would be sufficient.

– Aluminium casing is well built
– Comes with two energy saving LED bulbs
– Looks stylish
– Good spread of light when in use, both up and down. It also lights the ground well up to around 2 metres from the installed light.
Cons:
– The rubber seal to stop water ingress is paper thin, I’m talking less then 1mm thick. This along with the lose fitting back doesn’t build me with much confidence that water will not ingress into the rear casing. I think the manufacturer has realised this as the instructions do state to use sealant if installing the light outside.

good lighting feature spreads up and down the wall not outwards so makes a good light to put against a doorway not for somewhere that needs surrounding areas lit for visibility, all instructions included and fittings , easy to install and good value and good quality material
The body is a lovely stylish well made aluminium that looks really solid and is rated weather proof for outdoor use , it would look good anywhere indoors or out . It has a slim neat shape that looks a lot better than the old fashioned light that it will replace that has served us well for over twenty years now . The colour of this is black and our electrician said it would be easy to fit when he has the time . This comes with a two year warranty and I think the price for the quality is very reasonable . I will update my review when I have it fitted into place .
The light was delivered in a smallish box, the main unit was bagged, some decent instructions and a small bag containing the mounting screws and an Allen key to remove the upper or lower sections for changing the bulbs, nothing fancy and nothing really wasted. Good to see from an environmental impact perspective! It is a reasonably simple design, the main unit is already fitted with the GU10 spot bulbs, so it remains only to remove the back mounting plate via the two holding bolts (that also apply pressure to seal the unit against the rubberised internal seal) and you can then use the backplate as a template to mark and drill the holes. Once drilled out, the power to the lights should be isolated at the fuse-box, any old light removed and the required cabling presented. NOTE: the electrical work should be undertaken by a suitably qualified professional. After that the cable should be threaded through the provided hole — ensuring the grommet remains in place in the backplate. Then the backplate is screwed to the required surface using the wall-plugs, screws and sealing grommets provided. The cable can then be terminated on the terminal block and the main unit affixed to the backplate using the aforementioned holding bolts. Power on and test. All in all, around 45 minutes for a really nice looking, modern outdoor light that brightens up the entrance area nicely.
A robust unit that does not protrude too far from the wall, provides plenty of illumination and is modern looking, we shall see how that performs when weathered. The CELAVY LED Square Outdoor light was a decent investment which was easy to fit and we are happy with the finished product.
