I did have a bad earth but that was my audio equipment once fixed I ran the unit until it was dry. While I’m not sure of the wattage on everything I can make an educated guess of around 800w. It ran for just under 6 hours with that load on a full tank.
We purchased this as we had a lot of fish die due to the heat and lack of oxygen With no electric we needed power and this was brilliant. A lot of our members are in the construction industry and all say this is the best they have ever used. Highly recommended by all of us
The generator arrived within 1 week, Very well packaged, Set up was approx 30 minutes and started with second pull. Runs really quite. I have not connected it to my motor-home yet but I don`t envisage any issues.
Why! I’ve no gas bottle anymore, but have a 60k motorhome sitting next to the house with a 25l, 75p a litre cost doing nothing. So ordered a quick connectors, a gas tap to isolate.
I’ve successfully tapped into my motorhome gas and can power some appliancew in the house upto around 1600watts. We’ll that’s not enough to boil a kettle! but it recharges my allpowers 2000w genies and they power the kettle, an induction hob, toaster fryer, TV, 500w heater fan and many other things.
I can even run a washing machine. So whilst I can power the house daily with solar and recharge my solar genies, I can now recharge them when needed at lpg gas prices, when solar is limited. This is an expensive buy, but it’s not for one use or for this winter, it has endless portable possibilities, even more for campers and vanlifers. No worries about low van batteries, just set it up and recharge.
Possitives
My first genny, not that loud for me.
Easily adapted to van borne lpg, no need for additional bottles
Simple to apply oil
Simple to refuel with unleaded l, has a light over fuel funnel
Solution for various uses and power cuts
Negatives
For
heavy, I wouldn’t wish to carry more than 100m
Pull start, for this money, electric start would be my dream
Running time LPG or petrol, it doesn’t bother me, at the rates of British gas these days anything is cheaper. 75p litre of gas, can’t be beaten.
Noise levels, I get on with my neighbours, but I may tell them I’m running one for 3 to 4hrs every so often.
Tips from me:
Empty and fill oil when it’s elevated it’s easier to drain and better to fill. Have some kitchen towel available and plenty of 10w 30 oil, also any old plastic container to drain the oil into.
I’d recommend a trolley, a simple scrap board and edging and cheap wheels. It helps move it on flat and for moving around garage for storage. Don’t buy a cover. Use any cheap tarp, edge it and that’s enough.
If you’re going to connect to a motorhome, use a gas tap, a few quid and this will not only cut the device when running, but save gas. I’ve mine 5 inches from the gas regulator.
At this time, I recommend.
Very fast, efficient delivery time.
Heavier and noisier than expected.
Felt it should have come with an earthing wire kit.
Really quiet in economy mode.
I use it to keep my caravan leisure battery topped up for the tracker whilst in storage and it works a treat, I’ll just pop every month or so to run it for an hour or two.
Also handy to have for any power cuts at home. Used it half a dozen times now so I am about to do first oil change after initial 5 hours., really easy.
Really pleased with it, powered a computer, TV, USB, chargers, 1.7kW kettle, caravan fridge and battery chargers with no issues. Also used the 12V outlet to power my portable compressor.
May consider using it for some off-grid camping too.
I am using Super Unleaded E5 (only 5% ethanol) and I added some fuel stabiliser as I do with my garden vac, recommended for when fuel is lying around for long periods, I have never had issue with fuel over a year old with a stabiliser added.
Hope this helps with your decision.
