My grandkids love this and so do I! Creative fun without the mess. It stores so compactly and is suitable for all ages. HIGHLY recommend!
This keeps my hyper-active kid occupied for hours. It’s so easy to play with, clean and put away.
My nephew loves creating with these and the possibilities are endless.
My 10 year old an 11 year old absolutely love this product. During traveling, This toy minimize screen time for my kids. They love to make different shapes and figure out of it.
A little pricey but, this is a well made toy. Sturdy, strong magnets and great colors. My 5 year old granddaughter and I had fun playing with them. It would me nice if a little booklet with sample figures was included to help get the creative juices flowing.
We purchased these as a gift to a 4 yr old. They are AWESOME. Think magna-tiles but better. They hold their shape when you pick up your creation. Are easy to pull apart but don’t just fall apart! We loved them so much we ordered a second set! Definitely recommend for any imaginary play loving family
They are nice and compact, which makes them ideal for travel toys. I just don’t think they are worth the amount we paid for them.
For the amount of money I think magnet tiles or Legos are a better investment.
Bought this as a gift for my grandson his mom suggested i
I don’t usually buy toys for Grandchildren. Made an exception for these. Wanted something requiring hand dexterity and mental ‘thinking’ for their imaginations. This filled both for two of my Grands. Bought a larger kit so they could share and kit came with more colors. Worked out great. Both of my Grands, and their Mom, are happy. That makes me happy.
I bought this for my grandsons birthday, but someone else had already given it too him. He has a lot of fun making and playing with this. He loves to make things. I just need to try to return the one i purchased.
I had never heard of these Clixo toys before. I bought them for the grandkids, ages 4 & 6. These are so clever and fun! The kids looked at the pictures and made some of the suggested ideas but before long they were just making their own ideas and the possibilities are endless.
These are well made and the magnets are strong and work well. I decided to always lay them flat after we’re finished playing just to make sure they don’t warp. Maybe they won’t but I’m just making sure.
Great purchase and we are enjoying them!!
yea purchased this for my very busy son. It took him a few tries to connect it at first but after that, it was all fun, he’s created so much and it’s not a bulky toy. Baby sister likes to play with it too, but we are more diligent in watching her play. Recommend to any parent looking for a creative outlet for kids.
This did exactly what I hoped it would. My girl loves to play with this – the bright colors and satisfying feel of the magnets clicking together have her enthralled. Although she is on the young side, I love the fact that this toy will grow with her as she gets older, as she begins to explore the more complex aspects of it.
It is important to note there are 3 magnetic pieces that are small and could be a choking hazard, so I have kept those away from her for now. The rest of the pieces are large, light and colorful, and are perfect for her age and beyond.
My 6 year old loves this new toy! I love how compact it is. Clixo has videos on YouTube so kids can follow and make all kinds of things. Once he gets the idea of the potential, I know he’ll get to making his own creations. Oh and if it’s not put away, it won’t hurt like a Lego! This would make a great gift!!
You assemble these kind of origami parts, they’re not made of paper but from a real nice sensorial high quality and special material, fun to hold and feel and even clicking the magnets in the corners of the parts is addictive… We created airplains, trains, different animals and even our dog and put it on the fridge.
It’s also great present for birthdays and holidays. The box, the bookle are so attractive and funny. A true gem!
Surprisingly it still holds and works perfectly, kids still show interest, not daily but every once in a while. Sharing this as I wasn’t sure that it will last that long. Apparently I was wrong. Recommended
Original review:
Packaging – Apparently this came in multiple boxes, and wasn’t so easy to open (kids were excited, but I am not 100% sure that they could have opened it by themselves). The actual box has very nice design and catalogues.
First use – After we’ve opened it my 3 kids (Ages: 3, 7 & 10) immediately jumped on it and started to click the pieces together, I had to show them that there is an instructions manual that teaches you how to build stuff.. the nice surprise is that there were enough pieces for all 3 kids to use and assemble different shapes (airplane, ball, etc.)
Durability is surprising, my 3 YO is far from being gentle with it.. and still, other than few marks, it still fully functioning and in the original shape.. we’ll see how that goes (will comment again in few months).
Overall – kids are happy with it, was their go-to toy for the first few days, and now it still being used every other day or so.. I didn’t do much research about other shapes that you can assemble, but maybe I’ll need to do such in the near future.
Happy with this purchase.
Bought this for my nephew and I’m really excited for him to start experimenting, you can build pretty much anything. The build quality is great; the paper pieces feel sturdy and the magnets feel very secure. Loved the snaps, so satisfying : )
Highlights from the parents
1. Easy to clean up – While it may be fun for the kids to build their crazy inventions using all the pieces in the pack, it’s just as easy (and dare I say it fun) for my brother to rip them apart and stack them up so much quicker than other building toys that they might even feel guilty about taking apart.
2. Portable – Although they haven’t had too much need for the portability due to the pandemic, he mentioned that it’s pretty easy to toss them in the bag to bring over to the grandparent’s house for a visit.
3. Viable alternative to screen time – They’re always trying to find new options to limit screen time, and this toy was a great option to claw back the hours.
Surprising highlight from my personal play time with the kiddos – it challenged me more than the kids to come up with new creations without instructions.
Initially, it was intimidating for me to build my first object beyond a simple ball, and I was confused as to why I couldn’t “get it”. However, (forgive the pun) it finally CLICKED when I saw the kids have fun making the most random creations even if it wasn’t close to the actual object they were trying to make. I had to get over my own mental barriers of potential failure, and instead, see creation as a challenge and to just go for it! While this mindset is probably too deep for the kids to understand, it was a turning point for me and I’ve been recommending CLIXO to all the parents I know.
Enough of my own personal epiphanies As a former engineer, I’m always trying to find ways to encourage my niece and nephew to take an interest in the sciences and explore their creativity, so I considered myself lucky to come across this toy in my search for the perfect gift.
It’s hard to get my grandkids away from their phones but I thought these looked interesting. We all had a wonderful time building with these Clixos together. We all think this is a great toy and I plan to buy more of these packs for their birthdays.
