For women with bigger feet:
I bought the women’s version first (as I’m a woman), but the toe area was so small and narrow. I don’t have “wide” feet. It was absolutely ridiculous how scrunched up my toes were. So I decided to try the men’s and they are perfect. A little tiny tight at first at the sides of my feet, but quickly loosened as I walked around in them. Feel good so far. Highly recommend for women with big feet (10.5 inches).
Used these for the first time to hike around Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon and they held up very well, even after getting soaked. Extremely comfortable to wear all day while hiking the trails!
The fit was very good, and when I used them in water my socks stayd dry. I also really liked the color scheme and weight of the shoe. i still haven’t gone on a long trek with them, and will update is there will be a change
I bought these boots 1 year ago.I just wanted to show how the held up.Im am serious about my hiking and more serious about what i put on my feet to do so.These boots have been through alot in a year. They still got some miles left. But i loved them so much i just bought another pair. Also very comfortable. They are true to size.Highly recommend these babys!
I walk/hike between 5 and 8 miles 5 days a week in these boots and they give me excellent traction and support while keeping my feet dry. I’m very happy with my purchase
Most comfortable. Thanks for making them big enough. It has been impossible for me to find boots that didn’t damage my feet until my wife showed me the Columbia products.
I feel for the price these feel and function great for the 2-3 miles walks I take daily. Offers medium support without affecting my stride.
The only negative is the dark brown I ordered came as an uglier two different color browns. Don’t care enough to try and swap them out as they fit nice and felt good.
A bit small in size but very comfortable and robus
The Newton Ridge Hiking Boots have to be the best set of boots I have found in a long time. I have used them on all terrains ranging from sand to mud and even at work on concrete and they have maintained their comfort. They are not like other hiking boots which press into the sides of your feet after wearing them for a while, but instead these are like walking on air. Their grippy soles have also been invaluable when I work outside wearing them as they have thankfully saved me from slipping in mud after a decent sized storm. The best uses for these boots would definitely revolve around anything outdoors as the durable sides also protect your feet from getting poked by small tree branches and other things you may step in. The only con of these guys have to be their original laces being slightly too long. I find that I have to double knot them in order to stop them from coming loose due to getting snagged on something and even then they sometimes find a way to get unclasped from the top quick removal hooks that you loop them through. However this design is compensated for at the end of the day when you want to quickly slip out of them and go on about your evening. After a solid six months of use, I would definitely recommend these boots to any aspiring outdoorsman or even to people who work indoors that require a durable yet forgiving boot.
In the main, I really like these boots, comfy, warm for cooler weather. Waterproof for wet ground and grass, pretty much. Don’t count on it though if you get into 1-2″ of water.
Like some of you, I’m a huge fan of Keen and Merrell footware. I needed to replace my 1 year old Keen hiking boots, that I use for construction. I saw these for a really good price, and thought why not ? When I placed them on, I was like wow, these are more comfortable and lightweight than Keens. However, initial impressions can be deceiving, so I took my dogs for a 3 mile, 1 hour walk in the woods. These are a game changer. I was very skeptical for the price I paid, but they seem to be well made, and they are super stylish. I am afraid that these might not be suited for construction, first they are almost too good looking to bring to work, and second the soul seems softer. I’d be afraid to get a nail through them. I also dont know how these will hold up long term, but I’m already thinking about buying a second pair at this price.
These are ao comfortable and by far the best walking boots I’ve had.
I gotta say, I really like these hikers. They’re super comfortable, and that’s coming from someone who’s been wearing Merrells for years now. They’re definitely waterproof after standing in my crick for a while, working on something, and the tread is super grippy, even on dried leaves and loose dirt. I only have two issues with them. One: they don’t really breathe well. By the end of the day, my socks are a bit damp and my feet stink, which is not a problem I normally have. Two: I prefer my hikers to have a stiffer sole (for hiking on rocky trails), but these have a more flexible sole, very much like an athletic shoe. Not that that’s a bad thing, just not my preference. Even with the issues I stated, I like them a lot and would buy again.
I got these for my husband for work.
He said they are very comfortable, supportive and warm.
He would repurchase them.
There are few items I won’t be satisfied easily. The boot is decent looking, looks sturdy. Right size, not need to bother.
Few things to note, the shoe is slippery on ice. I thought it should work but don’t try on ice. Also when the whether is below zero, my toe becomes extremely cold. I was surprised by this. But when the whether is 10 plus, you won’t feel any coldness. So far, that’s all for now.
