Bought to hang some light garland and string for Christmas cards on our fireplace. The hooks work well and are strong, and they’re not very visible unless you’re looking for them and know where to look. I used 3 for about 700g of slim faux garland. The garland is supported by the fire surround but the hooks keep it in place.
I removed one star because I put one hook in the wrong place by accident and it removed paint from the fire surround. I have used many command hooks for various things over the years and I’m a big fan. I know how to remove them properly and I’m very careful and I take my time. Unfortunately if it’s old paint, no matter how careful you are, the hooks will take off paint. I will therefore be using a hairdryer to remove the hooks after Christmas.
The product is good and does what its meant to but in retrospect the cost is high for what it is, imo. But hey, I bought them and was easy to use and seemed quite sturdy. Yes you can get cheaper ones but I didn’t try them as needed them in a hurry. I went with ones with a good rep and I guess that’s what you pay for (and don’t companies know it lol).
These are a great product. So versatile. Ideally used on the side of units which gave wipe cleaa as n surfaces. Can obviously hdd Wed used on painted walls but I have found them to sometimes remove paint. Just consider where you use them.
I love love love command hooks but feel like I got a bad batch here. For some reason these just didnt wanna stick to the wall which is weird cuz the other pack I bought previously stuck to the same wall with no issues.
Has been able to hang my A1 tapestry and A4 whiteboard without issue thus far. I am a little concerned over the state of the paintwork when I remove them but I haven’t got there yet and it’s been nearly a yea
I bought this to hang some curtain tiebacks. I didn’t want to drill or screw into the wall so this product came in very useful for a relatively simple job. Adhesion strips were perfectly fine.
These are really useful, I didn’t think they would do the trick, but they are much stronger than I thought and I could hang 400 Christmas lights off them after only putting the adhesive on for a few minutes. They also peel off easily, I used them on plastic, so I cant comment about on painted surfaces. The only thing I would say is a let down is the hook moves too easily, if you are trying to keep something sideways, its a little tricky.
Very happy with product, easy to put up. I’ve used these to hang fairy lights, very useful. There are some spare stickers included if you want to move the hooks to another place.
Bought these to hang up my (rather kitsch) pineapple fairy lights in the kitchen and they’ve done the job brilliantly. They’re far sturdier than they look and hold onto the wall well. It’s a little fiddly to remove the protective layers on the sticky pads but other than that very easy to use.
Easy to use product and no problems with adhesion so far. Used these to fix very lightweight flower vases (not real flowers – paper ones) to the wall. Have encountered very few problems with Command products over the years.
These are pretty much my go to for removable wall fixings. You pay a premium for the 3M name, but it is justified if you’ve ever used a no name brand alternative that just aren’t as good, or as sticky, or as reliable.
I always trust that the 3M hooks and strips are gonna keep what I’ve put up on the wall, on the wall. And they’ve always come off without damage.
Nothing I disliked – they worked great at holding Christmas decorations and could be removed when I wanted to with ease and no wall damage. Nice and strong and a good price. I’ll buy more when I need to and would recommend them.
I’ve used these to help position an ivy plant to grow on my wall. Super easy application and have held strong so far. Can barely see them as it’s all transpare
Adhesive is strong- used it to hang up some thick fabric banners I had, doesn’t look like it’d come off anytime soon if ever. Easy to put up as well.
The clear backing is very nice- makes it easy to blend into whatever you’re sticking these to so that you don’t have to worry about them sticking out and not matching with the colour underneath. I was surprised with the hook as well- turns out you can move this up and down so that you can position it to how you want it.
Have not tried to remove the hook so cannot comment on how easy it is to remove.
2 of these little babies are currently holding up quite a large mirror. I haven’t attempted to remove the strips yet, but I’ll update if the mirror falls down. Fingers crossed!
I was hoping for more with these in terms of what they can hold. I have my 3.75″ Star Wars figures in lightweight protective cases, and with them being so light, these aren’t as sustainable as I hope, as some have dropped off the wall.
There are suitable for what I need hence the 4* rating
These hooks are amazing! Very strong and sturdy. I was apprehensive about how strong they would be but held a large Christmas Garland up for the entire Christmas period. I believe they would have held it indefinitely if I had not removed them. The removal process is quick and easy and left no marks on the wall.
Used this product for the first time today and so far so good though only used to hang a string of Xmas cards. Suggest you read the instructions as you have to wait a while before hanging anything. Delivered later than expected.
I’ve said it before (on another review) and I’ll say it again. I love command hooks – so convenient and easy to use with no damage left to walls – perfect for a renter. This is a great pack – bigger than I can find in shops so a thumbs up from me.
Bought to hang up some fairy lights discreetly and invisibly in the office I share with my daughter.
Command hooks for pictures we’ve used before and weren’t sure how these would pan out but they are solid and holding well. Fairy light aren’t heavy but these appear to hold up well even under greater weight.
Have just put in an order for some more as we have another task we will be using them for.
