Great quality as always. Hooks are incredibly easy to install and are great for hanging things like bags and dressing gowns. They take quite a bit of weight but always keep in mind what the label says.
Also a lot of reviewers are using these to hang pictures. This product is NOT designed to hang frames and they do not recommend using these hooks to do so. Command do make products for hanging frames but this product is absolutely not the one you will need for that and it will result in some smashes if you do!
I got these to hang kitchen utensils on the tiles in my kitchen , remember to degrease the tile, dry it, stick in onthe tile wait for 1 hour and your don’t.
These little hooks are easy to use and do what they say they will in terms of weight-bearing. I have removed and repositioned one, which was straightforward, but I can’t comment on how easy this would once a hook has been in place for a long time.
So far only being used to hold a lightweight clock to a painted internal wall.
This has not been problematic, however getting the hooks to stick took a lot of holding and hoping.
These really xould do with a bit more instant ‘grab’ – before the 24 hour curing to full strength.
Bought as our walls were proving a pig to drill…. having hung the clock, and faced with a host of framed pictures to hang (all under the supposed weight of these), I went and bought a new more powerful drill!!
I’ve only used this for a week but so far theyve been good. I used them as coat pegs by the front door for my 3 and 5 yr old coats as they cant reach the proper coat pegs. So far they have held up well. My 5 yr old one has a thicker coat, rain coat and a jumper on his and still holding up. He even has put his hat on it too. I’ve not removed these yet as no need but I have used the command decorative hooks for the last couple of Christmas for lights and cards etc and they removed fine. I will say you need the right technique as to begin with I was pulling the tab but not close to wall and paint did come off. Since then I just make sure I pull as close to the wall as possible and no more ruined paint. Also if overloaded and they fall off then yes they do the paint off. So make sure you get the right sort of hook suitable for what you need, read the instructions and follow them and they work great. I’ll be a command user for life now.
I know some people on the reviews say these haven’t worked for them but I’ve used five out of the six. One on the back of a bedroom door one on plaster wall and three on concrete. I cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol and then followed the instructions. I waited an hour then put stuff on them. One is holding a dressing gown up with ease and still is today. The other a hoodie and cap, two separate ones for backpacks and one for a calendar. I even tested not waiting an hour for the plaster wall (holding a medium sized calendar) and it’s held up to the task. I don’t understand why some people say they don’t work? They did for me so it’s five stars but I have not tried removing them yet.
These hooks are very handy in multiple places around the house, especially if you are living in rented accommodation. Surprisingly strong, they can hold a reasonable amount of weight; I’ve successfully managed to go a decent amount over the recommended maximum and the hooks stayed up just fine.
On the backs of doors to hold towels, and on the beams to hang planters from- these hooks perform nicely, are inoffensive and easy to conceal with careful placement. The hooks slide onto the clear plastic part which is adhered to the wall, so you can remove them when not in use without wasting a Command strip.
Do be careful, however, with the temperature of the room. It recently reached about 32C, and I (perhaps foolishly) had one of these mounted in (near) direct sunlight. The adhesive must have softened in the heat, leading to my plant pot falling and smashing- this was under the advised weight as well. However, if you’re careful they should be fine.
Application is simple, instructions are clear. Removal- if you do it properly (holding the top of the strip and carefully pulling down) is clean and damage free. The letting agent is none the wiser.
Of course, screw in or mounted hooks would generally be more ideal- but for those who can’t, don’t, or won’t go that route: these should do the job.
I use mine to hang my bath rope which definitely weighs more after I’ve used it than 3lbs and yet it holds it just make sure to follow the instructions step by step. I used rubbing alcohol to wipe the surface and then I dried it thoroughly before sticking it and I personally think that is what made a difference. If you don’t have rubbing alcohol you could always try perfume as it contains a bit of alcohol. Hope this little advise helps you :0)
They are super easy to apply with very clear instructions on the pack. One thing I would say is that it does recommend you to wait for a bit before adding weight to them (I cant remember how long exactly, I think maybe 45 minutes?) and that is an instruction you shouldn’t ignore, no matter how tempting it may be. But assuming you have waited, it can take a surprising amount of weight with ease. Ive used three of these to hang a heavy curtain, and so far its still holding amazingly strong. I haven’t removed these yet, but I have removed other command strips which attach using the same principle, and so far not a single fleck of paintwork has been damaged or marked by them.
Ive used Command stuff for all sorts of hanging, and so far I’ve not had a single complaint with any of their products. If you rent and want to make your place feel a bit more like a home, these really are fantastic.
Just a note that I did follow the instructions to the tee…. I cleaned the wall with an alcohol solution, then pressed on the sticker for 30 seconds, then waited an hour before putting the speakers on. You might want to do this – you will be surprised how much oil / dust / etc is on the wall that you cannot see, and that would significantly reduce the strength of the adhesive no doubt.
These command hooks are highly useful. The instructions are clear, and the setup is very easy. You essentially just have to leave the sticky tape to set over a day, and then you can add the rest of the hook.
I found a couple of the hooks broke over time (although if you have spare hooks, the two-part structure means it’s easy to re-add another hook to the tape), however that was due to hanging a fair amount of weight on the hooks.
I’d advise being careful with a number of coats hanging off these, otherwise a handy and easy-to-set-up product.
This is a pack of 6 plastic hooks that should take about 3lbs in weight each. You also get 12 adhesive strips. It is essential to make sure the area they are to be attached to is clean and free from grease – Isopropyl alcohol does the trick. I bought these to solve the problem of dripping wet dog and human coats, so I thought the multipack a good buy. I have attached 2 of these to each of the inner and outer back doors so when we come in from a walk, wet gear can be hung to dry without trailing it through the kitchen. So far the hooks have worked and our outer gear dries without having to be draped over chairs and newel posts. Easy to fix to surfaces and remove if they’re in the wrong place.
That are so quick and easy to apply that I doubt I will bother with nails and screw for any pictures again. I really like that this range has a base plate which you stick on then slide the hook over the top. This meant that in our laziness when decorating we could just cut in around the base plate the slide the hook over the top for a really neat finish.
The weights on the packets seem conservative as they seem a lot stronger than advised.
The packets all come with more sticky pads than hooks so you can change the location and remount should you need to. Always the first thing that comes to mind when needing to hang anything.
I would gladly recommend any of the command strips, even those sceptical about them.

WHat I can say is that if you ever need to move them, just peel the sticker off pulling it slowly in a downward motion and just grab a new sticker from the box. You actually get 6 hooks in the box and 12 stickers. So if you do make a mistake and stick it in the wrong place, it’s not the end of the world, just move it. If you find that you have run out of the stickers, yo ucan always buy more:

The hooks will last a very long time, as they have made them from a good plastic.

Command Picture Hanging Strips Value Pack
I initially bought these hooks in the hope to hang some plastic hero masks up on my sons wall. I had used some of the larger ones before and felt it was a nice way to hang things up on the wall without having to patch up holes when you want to take things down or move them. I felt they were an excellent price and included twice as many adhesive strips as hooks (so you could move the hooks as once you pull the adhesive off the wall you can no longer use the adhesive strip). Unfortunately, these did not work for their intended purpose. I found that despite these being medium the ball end at the end of the hook was quite large and didnt angle up enough to hang these masks from. I did not expect the hook to be so sort and thick. I have however used these by hanging them in my closet to hang necklaces from and it has worked very well for sorting out my jewellery. I did try to hang lightweight scarves from these but they didnt work well for that purpose – the scarves became bunched up and fluffed out too much so mine are limited to use with jewellery.
I think these are ideal if you are looking to hang something lightweight and thin from it. They can only take a couple of pounds of weight each. If you are looking to hang something thicker than a beaded necklace you are better to buy the large hooks or to look into an alternative hook. All in all I am happy I purchased them, although they were not quite what I had expected.
Well they are just fantastic – adhere to wall so well and hold my heavy pics well. This is a late review – they’ve been on the wall about a year now and no budging. Last week I wanted to move a one and braced myself for some paint coming off the wall that I would have to repaint – no paint came off and you cannot tell where it was stuck on. I cannot recommend these enough – when I buy my own house I’ll use them too. Best part? They are so reasonable.
They are long-lasting and some have been in daily use for many years. They can be fragile and will break if excessive weight is hung from one (the maximum is usually displayed on the card), or if abused by accidental heavy contact, twisting etc.
They should be considered semi-permanent as the beauty of the strips is that thay can last for ever or, should you need to remove, relocate, upgrade or replace one, you can remove it easily and cleanly from most surfaces by pulling the tab which gradually releases the adhesive contact and leaves no visible or sticky traces. With a spare strip, and you can buy just the strips in the various sizes and types for just such situations, the hook can be reused. In the pack are a few spare strips, sufficient to reuse each hook.
Pictures – renting contract tells you no putting nails in but this way you can hang them or use the picture stickers 3m also sell.
Coats and bags – I have a small hallway and now I can hang my coats in it. My front door has two hooks, at the top for everyday coats and midway for my day to day bag.
My frying pans are now hanging and hiding behind the kitchen door in my titchy kitchen
My mugs for my smoothie maker are hanging from the wall tiles out of the way but in easy everyday reach
Very easy to use as well. They also hold more than you’d think. Not that cheap for plastic and stickers really but worth it.
Now usually I love these command hooks and have used several different versions of them which are now keeping everything orgainsed around my entire home. However these are a slight let down.
There are actually two different ‘looking’ hooks of this version – one set of which I purchased from a supermarket. They are both supposed to hold up to 1KG when applied correctly but this set do not seem to hold up to that weight at all. The other ones I purchased are holding heavy coats with no problem but this set seem to have trouble holding a couple of light jackets. So all I can suggest is spread the weight more evenly with these and dont think you’ll be able to hold too much on them. Still happy enough though.
