My ski erg was boleted to the wall. This base allows me to quicjly move it around to suit. Quality product, easy to fit and robust.
I have a Skierg, fantastic machine, much better than a bike. It does many part of the body, hips, arms core. The Stand is a must have and very stable.
Now for the bad bit. Come on its a length of marine ply with a rough coat and a bent metal tube. 240 is taking the mickey. Should be half the cost, its made in China.
Took two people, and a lot of time and patience to assemble.
Great quality, easy to put together and very sturdy. Foot print is quite large but if you don’t want to put screws into the wall or plan on moving the concept2 around this is the way to go. A bit pricey especially to ship to Hawaii but worth the price.
If you don’t have a suitable wall or wanna be able to move the skierg around, it’s a must. And like everything Concept makes, it’s built to perfection.
If you are buying a SkiErg, I would highly recommend spending the extra money on the floor stand. Having the option of moving my SkiErg around in my garage gym has been priceless. I could not be happier with the complete package…awesome product!
I was a tad worried by the negative reviews on here that I was just going to get a piece of warped (or not) plywood for the price. I am a woodworker (not a very adept one I admit), this is very nicely and elegantly made IMHO. Worth every single penny and then some. Could I make one myself for less? Yeah, but it would not have this *just right* fit and finish, and I’d spend hours and hours trying to come close and I would hate it in the end. “Buy quality and you only cry once.” 🙂
Did not want to mount this to my garage wall, since I periodically buy new equipment and reconfigure the garage gym. Easy to put together and make the Skierg much better, TBH, this should just come with the Skierg as a package deal in the first place
An absolute must for all SkiErg owners or potential owners. I was definitely not comfortable attempting to drill my SkiErg into my wall. I would be incredibly hesitant knowing how much force you “pull” down on the handles and how that would affect your wall. Anyways, this stand is great. Extremely easy to set up with the SkiErg and it seems to be made very well. Yes, it is strangely expensive for just being a stand, but man oh man I think it’s totally worth it. Your wall will thank you and so will your SkiErg.
Essential if you have the skierg and don’t have the ability to attach it to the wall. Super easy to attach if you watch concept 2 videos on their site. Very mobile and sturdy. It costs but it’s well worth it.
Worth the money! Prevents you from attaching to the wall in your house. Lots of force placed on the machine and I suspect on the post of your house. Allows you to move the ski erg if need be!
This saves you from having to have the SkiErg permanently attached to a wall, and allows you to move it about to where you want it. It is very sturdy and stable.
Very excellent and necessary part if do not attach your SkiErg to the wall. IMO unless you really need to save space you are far better off for the non-slip surface and the proper foot stance that this somewhat pricey accessory affords.
Makes the Ski Erg accessible for home gyms – even with the stand the Ski Erg takes up so little floor space and delivers such a huge training effect. Buy it…
A must have addition to your SkiErg. Your only other option is to bolt it to a wall which requires you to be right up against the wall and staring at it for your workout.
The concept two floor stand is excellent! Very easy to assemble, very sturdy and well made.Just be aware that the screwdriver and bracket for the stand are in the Ski Erg box and NOT the floor stand box. This caused me quite a few problems as I thought they had been missed out of the box! Please take note Concept 2!
Bought for my C2 Ski Erg which unfortunately didn’t come with a base! Essential if you want to be able to move the Ski Erg around (otherwise it has to be permanently attached to the wall), and provides a comfortable base to stand on while training. I skied thousands of meters last winter on this and it remained rock-solid throughout, not shifting on the floor or between stand and Ski Erg, despite aggressive sprint sessions. N.B. this model is only suitable for the PM5-equipped (Y-shaped) ski erg, and not the older model. Well up to Concept2’s usual excellent standard of construction in build and in use.
