We bought this to reduce our use of expensive calor gas on our boat. We would have liked a double ring but couldn’t find one the correct size for the area available . Using a steamer this one ring works well . Fan so far hasn’t been particularly noisy .

With the exception of an error in the provided manual, where in one place the Centigrade and Fahrenheit attributes of the levels of heat were mixed up, the documentation is about ok, could be improved upon slightly to make it easier to understand.

Otherwise this looks like a really well made product, and also a very good looking one. We moved homes, and preferred to wait a while before ordering our proper cooking appliance(s) – which would be done as part of a planned kitchen refit, and would need to wait until we had a proper design done.

In the interim we needed something to cook with, so searched for hotplates. Fundamentally there are three types as I soon discovered. Last time I used a hotplate was 35 years ago, at university – which was the iron plate type. Apparently this is the slowest to heat up.

Next in line is the ceramic hotplate which heats up faster than the iron plate.

Even faster to heat up, and also faster to cool down is the much more recent invention – induction based cooking plates.

Key advantages of the induction hotplate – looks good, has the opportunity of being microprocessor controlled to include things like a timer. We’ve used gas cookers, most of our lives, so the induction thing takes a while to get used to, to know which setting (i,e level of heat) is appropriate for each kind of cooking. So there is a bit of a learning curve, but after about two weeks, you get used to it, and its not that difficult to adjust the level of heat to your desired level.

Easy to clean. One does need to careful cos its a glass plate, so no dropping things on it, so a little care is advised. Also not a good place for spilling liquids, such as anything boiling over. Water and liquids will degrade the efficiency of the device. Best to keep the hotplate nice and dry.

Yes you will need magnetically suitable pots, ideally ones made of iron or stainless steel. But you can purchase flat iron plates which you can use with your non magnetic pots, so do not throw away your aluminium pots – they can still be used with the addition of a flat iron plate in between the induction plate and the pot.

The timer is a MUST have feature. It’s been our life saver. Some of us have a habit of putting something on the fire and then getting distracted to watch the telly, or do something else. Compulsorily using a timer for every single time you turn on the hotplate, prevents food burning, at the very least it prevents the severity of burning, cos the hotplate will turn off at some time. Fantastic feature. From a safety perspective, this should be compulsory in all cookers of every kind.

With two of these, the wife is happy, and not putting us under too much pressure to get the new kitchen done. Not sure how this compares in cost of use – i.e electricity vs gas, but that’s based on how much you pay for these things.

For any temporary use, this cooker is capable of serious cooking, to very high temperatures, heating things up even faster than gas. It has encouraged us to consider having induction plates in our fully renovated kitchen. The wife still wants gas burners, and I may have to give in. If it was left to me, I think I’d switch to 100% induction, and take that risk, the only thing to consider is the cost of gas vs cost of electricity..

There are quite a few induction cookers advertised on Amazon at this time – summer/autumn 2023. Very happy I chose this one. Bought the second one two weeks after the 1st. Not cheap, but I think very good value for money.

Highly recommended. Rather than buy an induction cooker with two burners, I’d say buy two of these, so in the event that one fails for any reason, you have a fallback. The two burner induction cooker, is likely to fail completely, if it does, and you are totally out for the count.

To me, this product looks like one that will still be working in another 30 years!! It exudes a lot of confidence when using it. It just works. Which is how things should be. Not a single issue or concern. Fantastic buy.

We love our induction stove top! I was hesitant at first but I’m so glad we got it. It works perfectly and we have been able to use most of our old pots and pans. I love how easy it is to clean. I hated my electric cook top because everything that burned on it was so hard to clean.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI am very happy to install this induction hob in my kitchen. It gives me precise temperature control, which is crucial for cooking delicate dishes. The only thing which we should consider that we have to use always specially made induction pans and cooker. It is much more quicker than gas cooker. The heat evenly distribute across the cooking surface resulting in more consistent cooking. It is much more easier to clean than a gas hob. It has four points to cook in four different pans at the same time.It also gives us 9 different levels of heat intensity which we can set accordingly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install and use

This is perfect for camping if you have EHU.
Has 9 different heat settings, heats up quickly.
And I can take my stackable induction pans from home camping now.
    Reasonable price would recommend.
My only gripe is the power lead could have been longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect to take camping (if you have EHU)

I have never used an induction hob before. In just 90 seconds a cup full of water was bubbling hot.
I was worried about it being noisy as some say they are, this is well acceptable and quite than I expected. I already love it even though not used it for a meal yet.

Update: it had an intermittent fault so I returned it, the times it worked it was good.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this induction hob about 10 day ago to stop using gas. It is way faster than gas cooking.Compared to the gas one, this one is much better to take care of and visually changed our interior to a more modern one. There is a residual heat indicator. I have small children, so the child lock function in this hob is important to me. Immediate turning off of the induction hob when there are no pot’s on its surface and turning on when it is placed again.
Very happy and definitely would recommend to my friends and family.

This induction hob is really portable and versatile. Its perfect to use both indoor and outdoor. It heats up the food quickly and got 9 heating levels. The child lock function provides extra safety. The touch control and 4 hour timer works well. Overall a good induction hob.

The COVERCOOK 4 Zone induction hob is a great quality induction hob. It’s a standard fit, has a 7000W power capacity, responsive touch controls with child safety lock and nine different power levels.

The bridge zone is a great function and makes the cooker much easier to use. You can position your pots / pans better when using several large pots to maximise space and make cooking more convenient.

Price is very affordable especially compared to some main stream brands, overall very pleased and think it’s an excellent value for money product.

Very happy with this. It is a well constructed hob with a nice shiny black ceramic plate. It is simple and intuitive. Nice and easy thanks to its touch sensor making the issuing of commands easy. It has a built-in timer as well as well as child lock, which is perfect as we use this in a more enclosed space than a regular kitchen where our kids are present. Very pleased with this.

Been using this with our new induction hob for a couple of weeks now. It works very well. Helps prevent scratches and spills. We generally take it off when using the hob, but I have used it on a few occassions to heat a pan through and it doesn’t melt or affect the pan getting hot at all. Only difficulty with using it that way is that, with our hob, it also covers the controls making access to them a little awkward. But as a protective cover on a hot or unused hob its very effective.

When family comes to dinner, we have whole cooker filled with pots and many times we simply needed another cooker to do all the cooking at the same time, same effort.
This single cooker, main powered is fantastic solution to our needs. I can put it literally anywhere as long the power socket is within reach of the cord (about 1.5m distance). Just a one downside that I don’t have extractor above it and splashback. But after all, I can cook on it something less messy.
The cooker is easy to use, it has touch buttons and two types of settings-by temperature level and by power modes, which don’t tell you exact temperature. My current cooker has the same power modes from 1 to 9, where 1 is the lowest setting/slow cooking and 9 the fastest cook option/the hottest. Same is with this cooker. Apart from heat settings, we can also set up a timer and child lock so even if child presses some buttons, he/she won’t change the setting. It’s good option to have.
I love this portable cooker. It’s small, so won’t take much space if packed away in cupboard, but at the same time it’s big enough for the size of pots we usually use.
Proce is good, quality is great, performance is superb. I can highly recommend it.

We have used this electric hob for home made hot pot cusine. The adjustable power leve is very useful, the hob is a bit heavy though.

This is light and portable. It doesn’t take up much room so it’s the perfect size to use in our caravan. Where space is limited. It heats our food up just as quickly as a standard ring.

Very efficient, it does work well, heats up really fast, much better than electric hot plates.

It has enough size for most of the cooking pans but takes up very little space on my worktop and is in constant use for everyday cooking. powerful, easy to operate and energy saving.

Excellent and versatile portable hob, can be used for cooking at the table, in the garden or as an extra hob in the kitchen. I am delighted with the features. Definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis single ring hob is light and easily portable. It’s perfect to have along side a barbeque to keep food warm or heat up a sauce. Being lightweight and portable it’s ideal to take with you camping etc as long as you have access to electricity your good to go. The electric lead is about 1.5 metres long, which I think is a bit short given most power supplies will be indoors rather than out doors, but not a train smash. You do also need to make sure you have cookware which is suitable for use on an induction hob.

I love to do cooking and host a lot of parties at my place and am always falling short of hobs to cook food. This is just what I needed. I am really pleased that the hob does not require any internal wiring but can be used straightaway by connecting it to the power socket. The hob is very responsive and I love the touch control options. You don’t have to put any pressure behind it, just lightly touch and press the + sign if you are turning up the heat. It is a very versatile hob and could easily be used in a caravan, or mobile home, or as an additional hob on a kitchen island.

It is very easy to clean. If you do burn stuff on it then there’s loads of products on Amazon that do a great job, but generally speaking a damp cloth is all you need.

Aesthetically this looks very sleek and minimal. It has a very low profile and looks very stylish. The hob has a child lock, and comes with some amazing safety features. I feel it’s as safe as it can be.

Overall, I can say that it has great build quality, it’s simple to use and looks great. I think it’s very good value for money too. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

I hope you find this review helpful.

We do a lot of cooking outside with the family and this is great to use with the BBQ.
We cook so much meat that the stuff cooked at the start is usually cold but the time the rest is done but now with this we put it on low heat and keep the meat pot on there to keep everything nice and hot.
Easy to use and works great.
    Highly recommend.

It’s a good induction hob, for those who don’t need a full cooker like students living away, for long trips by car or even for yourself.
For starters, it came well packed, it’s very light and it’s so easy to use following the instructions.
Has a small fan under , it or cooks with temperature or power which was a bit confusing for me, but I chose to cook with temperature as I don’t know the difference between them.
Has a child lock, and timer and it’s switched off if not in use.
I think that the power cord it’s too short and should be longer than it is, the temperatures go in increments of 10 degrees, I wish they could go 5 degrees instead but that’s fine, doesn’t affect anything.
Easy to clean and store, it’s not too big.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have nothing negative to say about it absolutely brilliant. Please I read a couple of post’s one from I so called electrician please don’t listen you can use on a 13amp fuse but it won’t be running on 6.4 kW it’s limited to 2.4 kW which is more than enough to cook on all 4 rings.. you can hard wire if you wish and reset it to full power mode but we love the power of this hob. Great buy

5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly on a 13amp fuse

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been researching and choosing a plug-in induction job for over a year and finally ordered one to arrive before Christmas. Easy to install, plug and play. Put a pot of water to boil to test and was well impressed! It boiled so quickly compared to the old electric plate hob! Great stuff, easy to clean, looks great, don’t have any problem using 2-4 areas at the same time. Cooking is a breeze now!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReplaced our gas hob with this induction one. Really wanted to avoid rewiring as we weren’t ripping kitchen out, so this plug in version was ideal. Cooking is so much quicker and cleaner on induction compared to gas. Heat is instant to change and I’m really pleased with the switch. Easy to install – I had to cut the hole slightly bigger but that was simple with a jigsaw. Highly recommended

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersBought this mainly as it is a plug in rather than being a induction hob but I am so glad i did, yes I had to replace my pans etc but well worth the added expense, so easy to fit, just plug and go, quick wipe over and buff with a dry cloth after use and shines beautifully, looks far more expensive than it was, and certainly is much quicker to bring stuff to the boil than my old halogen hob, delivery was fantastic arrived within 2 days, I would recommend this hob and will definitely buy from the seller again too

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersA really good buy, a bit sceptical about having a plug in hob but not a problem, it’s so clean to work on and I fitted it in half an hour so simple to do out of the box and fitted into the space I took my gas hob out of, its so easy to use the controls are easy to see and instant heat, I timed how long it took to boil a pint of water and on gas hob it took 6 minutes but on this induction hob it took 90 seconds, wish I’d bought it a long time ago, a good price too, I highly recommend
