Works excellently, I found I could dive down a little and swim back to the surface to breathe immediately without even exhaling to force water out. Clips securely to my mask (Cressi big eyes evolution). Some reviewers said they found it difficult to keep in the mouth but I didn’t find this to be an issue – a snorkel is supposed to move away from your mouth a bit like this so you can use your regulator easily if scuba diving. Having previously only used cheap snorkels in the past I’m really happy with this one it’s night and day better.
In the picture on this listing the top of the snorkel is clear but mine arrived black at the end (that’s what I actually wanted so not complaining however the picture wasn’t accurate)
great rubber and comfortable. have a stopper on top so you dont try and breath in water. will test and update in a month in Greece
Maybe a bit expensive but it definitely worth every penny. I used for a week in holidays and worked very well. I’m pleased with my purchase.
GREAT PRODUCT. WORKS ALMOST 100% BUT DID LET A SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER IN ON ONE OCCASION. GUESS IT DEPENDS WHAT ANGLE IT GETS DIPPED AT. IT WORKS WITH A SMALL FLOAT THAT BLOCKS OFF THE AIR INLET AT THE TOP SO IF YOU DIP IT AT A SHARP ANGLE IT COULD LET WATER IN, CANT SEE HOW THAT CAN BE AVOIDED.

Gimmick. But very useful! Unless you get it dirty. Than it’s a very annoying cleanup.
Works so good for snorkeling or free diving! Keeps most of the water out. But if you get it dirty, becomes worse than simple snorkel.
With a decent mask (like Big Eyes) this is a way superior set-up than any “full face snorkel mask”. This snorkel is well made and does the job. It breathes very freely (unlike the Full Face set-up) and the shut-off valve works very well when diving beneath the surface. The snorkel clips very conveniently to the mask strap and the flexible lower section allows it to be “spat out” when not needed whilst still being retained. Can’t compare with other snorkels as I have not tried others. I have only tried the “Full Face Mask type” which I found so difficult to breathe even at very moderate exertion. They also make your face really hot as the heat of expelled breath builds up in the mask as there is no way to dissipate it. So my advice, get a conventional snorkel and decent mask and this snorkel is very good.
Great drytop, did loads of swimming and snorkelling with this and no problems with water entry at all. Really helped with teen kids confidence too. No problems even when diving. Recommended.
Lovely design – this is the first snorkel I’ve used which totally eliminated the risk of inhaling water. If a wave goes over, the snorkel seals so you don’t get a mouthful! Made snorkeling really fun on my last holiday. Excellent!
The snorkel is excellent and very easy to use on the surface, letting little to no water in. Just be aware when you duckdive Boyles law kicks in and you feel very strong suction, to relieve this just blow a little air into the snorkel.
Ok I read the reviews on this before I bought it. It is a fantastic bit of kit, no leakage at all. Have spent the last week using it around Cyprus with no bother. 100% marks
It’s costly but Great for snorkelling. the Radhanagar sea bed @ Andaman was a perfect place to use it. highly recommend it. taking away that 1 star just because it’s costly.
The lid works well in most cases, to prevent water from accidentally getting in when I stick my head a bit deeper. It only doesn’t work if the snorkel is near horizontal. The purge valve also works very well at clearing water with a sharp blow.
An important element for me was drag when diving. My previous snorkel was a pain. This one is great, makes itself unnoticeable.
Tip: The lid often does not re-open automatically. So make sure you always have a bit of breath left when resurfacing to blow it open.
I have to say that this product is superb – so good that I ordered one for my wife as well even though she’s a far better swimmer than me! I recently used mine in the Red Sea at Marsa Alam and I had no problems whatsoever and this gave me the confidence to fully relax and concentrate on the fabulous marine life as it quickly and effectively shuts out waves so no choking whatsoever. Wish I had bought this fantastic product from the off! Quick delivery quickly too! Highly recommended.
Excellent snorkel. I used it for both snorkelling and diving. I found the mouthpiece very comfortable and fit well. The clip was also handy as once on my mask it was easy to clip/unclip the snorkel.
As a free diver I am Loving this one as it does what it suppose to do, dive in, come back up and no water in… Just great…
Sometime u can get water inside but u can easily trow it out at anytime in water !
So u can used under water as well. !

Bought it, packed it, went on holiday. What a great snorkle it never let water in! Did just what it was supposed to do and being flexible made it comfortable as well. Nice!
My old snorkel let water in due to waves splashing, or perhaps a leaking connection in the pipe jount.
The Cressi Alpha Ultra Dry does not let any water in due to a very clever float operated valve on the top of the pipe.
This blocks off the top and so no water can get in. A Bonus is that when you dive down the float operates and so you cannot inhale any water, also you can purge (if neccessary) very easily.
All in the best snorkel I’ve had.
