Immediate speed increases from the word go. Plenty of power to handle a house full of devices and capable of saturating 1 gigabit connection.
The ability to add mesh nodes is good too
Got this as I was having issues with Virgin Media’s hub 4, this works so much better, faster internet, more stable wifi connection, easier to connect devices such as nest doorcam it’s just such a dream.
i got this router as advised by an I.T specialist from work, my broadband was only showing 50mb instead of up to 200mb that i pay for, i had several calls with my provider who were unable to speed up my network, as soon as i started using this as hub instead of the low quality kit supplied by my proovider my speed increased to 160 -210mb, no more drop outs and a low ping, well worth the money.
Al app es bastante penosa, y el acceso al ruter si lo pones en modo bridge no puedes acceder a l mediante cable si no es directamente, crea una subred y solo accedes al principal.
Bought this after returning a TP link router that was a total failure. This was easy to set up and so far there have been no issues at all. Good WiFi coverage throughout the house (4 bedroom).
I’m an enthusiast and I always have the latest gear to keep up with today’s technology as we are moving into 5G and Gigabit Fibre. After comparing with other Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Tri-Band routers, the D-Link DIR-X5460 EXO AX5400 out performed them with far better signal reach for a Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band router and at a reasonable price. You can ensure your network will meet its demands whether you’re using smart tech at home, working, streaming or gaming.
Rather than needing a speed demon, or something with a boatload of pro features I’d never sensibly use at home, I just wanted something that would give me a decent signal throughout the house for about 20+ devices.
I already was running a hard-wired multi router setup with different networks and was seriously looking at a mesh network solution. In the end I was able to replace all that with this router sitting at a centralised location in the house. It’s got one network name covering both 2.4 and 5G networks and even reaches down to the bottom of the garden – which until now needed another repeater. In addition to all that, it is also really fast, especially so if you have any devices that can use the latest protocols.
It doesn’t have a great deal of manageability to allow unusual configurations but if you are using it as intended (as most people surely will) then there are more than enough features to meet many of the more sophisticated requirements. (QOS, USB media server, VLANs, Port forwarding, website filtering)
I’m a sucker for Amazon deals, so this was a bit of a long shot, but it’s worked out very well. Even at full price it is something I should have done long ago.

Ho risolto tutti i miei problemi che riguardavano l’istallazione di rel Wifi a 2.4Gh.
IL mio operatore telefonico mi d la possibilit di cambiare modem gratuitamente con uno pi innovativo e veloce, ok dico, ma d quando l’ho notato sono iniziati i problemi, chiamo l’assistenza ed iniziato il calvario, ogni volta mi resettavano da remoto tutte le installazioni ogni volta dovevo smontare casa per reinstallare tutto e cercare di far funzionare ci che non andava….
Alla fine mi sono deciso di prendere un router apparte e installare tutto li, ma non stato facile trovare quello giusto, ne ho cambiati 4 prima di prendere questo della D-link, facile da installare, facilissimo da programmare grazie alla applicazione, poi ha un segnale talmente cos forte che arriva a 50 metri fuori casa eccezionale!
Ve lo consiglio, costa un p ma sono sicuro che risolver molti dei vostri problemi!
The setup has been very easy through the D-Link app on my iPhone. The same app can also be used to monitor the router status after the installation. Traditional web interface is also available.
Despite the good performance of the previous router, the X5460 has been a noticeable upgrade. My ISP is Virgin Media (just below 600Mb download speed) and their hub is set in bridge mode with the new D-Link router doing the NAT. Internet pages just open instantly and when gaming I do not have lag at all. Even with multiple devices connected at the same time, the network response is always blazing fast on all clients even with intense traffic. Speed is great also when transferring big files from or to the NAS through cable or Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi coverage is great and the router automatically assigns the clients to the best band available to optimize the connection.
I really recommend this router featuring matte and gloss finish that perfectly matches with the rest of my living. The LEDs on the front light up in white and do not blink to show network activity. They are also not too bright. This is another plus because they do not distract me when watching TV with lights off like the previous router I had. It is also possible to turn them completely off.
With this router I am sure that I will not need additional upgrades for a long time.
I brought this router to make the most of the gigabit internet I now have access to.
Where I had previously run an ethernet cable to my smart TV, I can now stream 4k media seamlessly over the wireless network.
The signal in other rooms of the house is noticeably better since I upgraded from the router that my ISP provided, I had previously used a powerline adapter to extend the signal up to the first floor but I’ve taken it out as the wireless seems to be better just using the router now that I’ve upgraded.
Really happy with this purchase and would recommend this router to anyone looking to upgrade/ future proof using Wifi 6 technology.
