Simplicity – always a good thing. Three figures, for the maximum, minimum and current temperatures. Two buttons – reset the reading and change between centigrade and farenheit and that’s it.
The battery is included – remove the plastic tab and it bursts into life.
The display is impressive. I can read this from outside of the garden shed with ease.
It does the job perfectly well and I’m very pleased with it.
Sure the description makes it clear that it’s not waterproof… However I’ve left it outside for about 2 months, on the ground, in the glorious British summer (record amounts of rain) and it’s held up fine. I also near burnt a hole in the thing testing out greenhouse positions – it doesn’t like temps over 60c. Completely fine after an hour or so in the freezer.
I like this – quite big but easy to read and use. I’ve strung it onto a hook in the greenhouse. It has helped me keep my new seeds at a more constant temperature.
Very good max and min temperature reading. This is the second one I’ve bought the first one having lasted several years. I’m going to bring this one in during the winter as I believe the extremes we had last winter were to blame for my first one breaking down otherwise I think it would still be going strong
We needed this in our toilet to see how cold it got over night as there is no heating in that area. So far I haven’t had to add additional heating to stop the pipes from freezing
I have just received the thermometer and on checking I found it to be very accurate.It aso seems to be well made.It is exactly what I needed to replace a very old one in my greenhouse on which the display is breaking up.That one lasted about 15 yrears before the electronic display went wrong.
