The slate effect is so convincing that it’s only when you touch it you find it’s not real!
The only downside is that it could be a little longer so it can be used under a larger stove.
Just what I was looking for, for my Dimplex stove. This is lovely. It is quite heavy and really looks like slate. I wouldn’t have known it wasn’t if I saw it in a shop. Together with the Dimplex Stove Pipe it has really transformed my little fire, and I’m delighted (Just need to fix the wire to the skirting and cover it now). Highly recommended.
Unfortunately I could not use this hearth slate because the fire/heater that I bought with it did not fit in with the surroundings. Therefore I returned this item unopened.
It seems quite expensive for what it is – a flat piece of resin. But it’s worth every penny. I’ve been able to put a small electric stove on in a carpeted room. My only other real option for this room was to use a storage heater – which is really expensive. I think I’ve saved the money back in a couple of months of winter – and this heath pad should last for many winters more. It looks the part too – just like a nice piece of slate.
Very pleased with this Heath Pad. It goes under our new Dimplex Fortrose electric fire and looks just like a piece of slate. I was surprised how heavy it was – very sturdy and hard wearing.
It looks like, and weighs as much as a slate hearth, but it’s made out of fibreglass (as far as I can tell) so it’s easy to cut with proper PPE
The slight curve also means that the Dimplex fire we bought had to be positioned with some consideration for this otherwise it wobbled very slightly. However, once set up it looks the part.
Well packages and labelled as 10kg in weight, so easy enough for one person to handle.
