Very capable usb-c docking station for new generation tablets and laptops. I am using my MacBook M1 which unfortunately been stripped of all major port such a 3.5mm jack, microSD card, HDMI, ethernet. It only has 3 usb-c connectors and for my IT job it is crucial to have access to ethernet and usb-A. Having so many port on 1 dongle is just incredible, truly 1 adapter solves all problem. It provides literally every possible access to your laptop including old VGA port which actually I am using to this day on PI’s in warehouse, super reliable besides of HDMI. I can use adapter and charge at the same time, amazing that is support 100W charging which is even more than my laptop is capable of charging. I got super-fast speed of file transfers via adapter, stable connection when connected directly with ethernet cable to switches on server. That what I was looking for long time, no cutting corners.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful dongle, multiple ports in one

A mini USB-C docking station with lots of positive features. It lacks DisplayPort connectivity but does have two HDMI ports (up to 4K each). As well as a USB-C port for PD, there are two for peripherals. The are two USB-A ports that are USB3.0, and a USB-A port that is super-fast USB3.1 like the USB-C ports. There are SD and micro-SD readers, along with a VGA port, Ethernet port and a USB2.0 port. It’s very compact but you will need a USB-C power supply. The price isn’t too steep for the features.

This is an amazing, quality piece of kit. When you see it and hold it in your hands for the first time, you can already tell that this is well made. The case feels metal, strong and sturdy, and it has so many ports on it making this really convenient. Yes, it’s expensive, but you really do get what you pay for. I wish I had something like this when I was at university, making constant trips to the library with my laptop – this would’ve been so handy to plug into the projector/ other screens for group projects and charge everyone’s phones. It’s very easy to just pick up and take with you and I can see it being really useful for those travelling into London etc for work. It’s really not that heavy, but the metal casing probably doesn’t help with the weight. I feel like this works better with good quality cables and not just cheap ones that come with a device because they don’t plug in as well. It clicks in properly with a good, braided cable and feels really sturdy. Very useful device just to have around at home too with my PC setup and multiple screens – makes it a lot easier to get to the plugs if I need to rather than digging around behind my PC. I would not recommend this for iOS, but if you are looking for something that’s good quality with lots of ports then I’d definitely say grab it if you can afford it (just careful not to scratch the beautiful metal case!).

There’s so many ports on here that I reckon it contains just about everything you could possibly want. There’s no point in me listing it all here — you can see from the listing what’s included.

The outside of it is aluminium or some type of metal, so heat dissipation shouldn’t be an issue.
There aren’t any additional cables included in the box.

I’m concerned about the reviews I’ve read to do with the HDMI ports, among others, failing, but this hasn’t yet happened to me.

Working from home means my desk can become a mess of cables and connectors. I gave this docking station a try and it streamlined my setup instantly. It accommodated my multiple monitors without a hiccup. The data transfer speeds were quick, making file transfers between devices snappy. While I don’t use Ethernet often, the option is there, which can be handy. The 3.5mm audio jack is a thoughtful touch, especially when video calls demand clear audio. It truly simplified my workspace without any unnecessary complications.

This USB-C Docking Station is working perfectly, and the data transfer speed is very good. It’s constructed with a metal body. The dock offers a wide range of ports, including 3 x USB-A 3.0, 1 x USB-A 3.1, 2 x USB-C, 2 x HDMI, 1 x DisplayPort, and 1 x LAN and a 3.5mm Audio Jack socket. You can connect your peripherals and screens with just a single USB-C cable. It’s exceptionally lightweight. This is truly the best dock—it’s portable and performs admirably. Just be sure to check for compatibility before making your purchase. It’s an excellent value for the money.

I’ve got this adapter because I like to use my laptop in clamshell mode tucked away out of side of the desk and utilise a wireless keyboard and mouse.

I also have a number of accessories and peripherals that need charging which is where this comes in perfectly because I can connect this to the laptop Used in clamshell mode and use an external monitor a monitor bar light, a microphone speakers, a WebCam. I still have a number of different USB3.0 port as well as an ethernet cable should I choose to use it.

This utilises, the USB port on laptops, which most have nowadays, including Apple And you simply plug in your USB charging cable into the side, which provides power to the laptop and accessories.

A truly useful docking station and would have been perfect if it included an SD card slot.

It’s a solidly made, metal body, reassuringly heavy piece of kit. It does not run hot, some models I have bought ran so hot they were damaging SD cards.

The quality is apparent in the speed of the ports, two 4K HDMI ports and one 4K DP port for video, 10gb USB-A, 10gb USB-C, 3 x 5gb USB-A, two times 480mb USB-A, 1gb ethernet, and an audio output 3.5mm port (which was an unexpected nice addition).

It’s a bit light on the USB-C ports, most of my devices now have USB-C cables, but I am using the USB-C power port to connect a USB microphone and it works fine, which was an added bonus, most charging ports do not allow data pass through.

Bear in mind you cannot get the maximum speed of each port at the same time, they are sharing bandwidth with the single USB connector which plugs into your computer, and your computer port must be compatible with USB 3.2 to achieve 10gb. You will not achieve 10gb with a Thunderbolt 4 port (doubles as a USB-C port) as this requires a dedicated thunderbolt interface.

Also remember that the cable you connect your device to the hub will also have to be rated at the correct speed, all cables are not equal, the wrong cable rating will slow down the connection speed to 480mb even if device and hub are capable of achieving faster speeds.

I’m very pleased with the device and only wish it had included the SD slots a lot of others do, but you can’t have everything.

Thsi is a pretty solid hub to drive three monitors extended (on windows).
I would have loved if it had 4 USB 3.0 ports rather than only 3 plus two 2.0.
But most of times I do not need more, admittedly.
It is more annoying that the usb c ouput to the laptop is 85W, my laptop takes more than that to switch on.
For a laptop which only needs 85W or less though, it is quite good.
The LAN is fast enough, my NAS does 110MB/s, which is as fast as it goes (Just under 900Mb/s), and the audio ouput is okeish, nothing to write home about but sufficient to listen to music casually.
Currently it is discounted with a voucher to 50, which is not a bad price if you need 3 monitors connected.

This dock has a good range of ports including Ethernet, and the two PD USB C ports is a novel feature. I have a standard test rig for these docks, connecting a top spec recent Lenovo Chromebook to a Samsung widescreen HD monitor via HDMI with PD power, ethernet, a mouse & keyboard and unfortunately this dock did not work. It kept trying, with the screens flashing as they tried to negotiate, but it was no-go despite all the other ports working.

As such I would express caution before ordering and make sure you will be able to return it if it doesn’t work for you.

The perfect usb c dock is lightweight and has all of the ports there’s a number of ways to use this dock however for me I have it setup so that I can easily plug in my laptop with one usb c cable and not have to worry about multiple connectors. All of my laptop’s peripherals are connected to this which means when I need to use it I just plug in the usb c cable into my laptop and it’s ready to go. This is definitely one of the best docks. It works great, is portable and is incredibly functional. The way I have it set up, my dock is mounted permanently onto my desk to allow me to have a clean minimal one usb c cable setup. The high speed data ports along with excellent selection of interfaces makes this an excellent dock. The dock during heavy use also doesn’t heat up, however the cable is a bit short so if you have your laptop and a larger desk you will struggle with cable manageme

One of only a few that could be classed as a true docking solution!

There are no shortage of ports on this device:
      3 x USB-A 3.0 (5Gbps)
      1 x USB-A 3.1 (10Gbps)
      2 x USB-C (10Gbps, and 100W PD input)
      1 x DisplayPort (DP)
      2 x HDMI
      1 x LAN

This allows you to connect all you peripherals and screens with just a single USB-C cable.

The total bandwidth appears to be 10Gbps, so if using many high bandwidth devices at the same time, you may see some contention, which is normal with these types of docks.

I had no issues getting a dual display from my Microsoft Surface laptop, with a LAN connection and a portable SSD drive. The laptop was charged via the hub, which I powered with a 100W PD charger. Its not absolutely necessary to provide any power to the dock, as it can power itself from the laptop, but will drain the battery quicker.

This one is a little more expensive than some of the others on Amazon and similar, so there is a small price premium for all the extra ports.

In a perfect world, it would have been nice to have some card slots as well, as I frequently copy files off SD cards, and it would save having to have an adapter plugged in.

The video shows exactly what you get and my initial impressions of build quality as well as a quick overview of the ports, so I won’t go into all that here. Instead, I’ll go into what I consider most important: the transfer speeds and the port functionality. Full testing methodology included below for your information, but really, the summary is all you need to know.

Summary: Superb hub for getting multiple display options out of a single USB C port. HOWEVER, be very aware of the limitations. If you’re using a Mac, your options are restricted (see the video). And with any device, while this hub is capable of outputting video to an external display, you should remember that the USB C port on your computer or device must be able to display video over USB C to use the display features (not all USB C ports do).

      Pros & Cons:
+ Good/expected: Very little drop in performance for the USB 2 Type A port compared to plugging into the computer directly.
+ Good/expected: DP, HDMI and DVI ports worked without issue.
      – Bad/disappointing: None.

      —————————————–
      Testing methodology:
      – USB 2 type A:
      Control – 10 GBps SSD enclosure containing 3300 MB/s NVMe SSD plugged directly into a USB 2.0 (480Mbps) Type A socket on the test PC (CrystalDiskMark benchmark 41.46 MB/s);
Test – Same drive plugged into the USB 2 type A port on this hub.
      – DisplayPort: Tested via connection to AOC 1440p monitor using known good DP cable
      – HDMI: Tested (display and audio) via connection to Samsung monitor and LG 4K TV using known good HDMI cable
      – DVI: Tested via connection to Samsung monitor using known good DVI cable

      Results:
      – USB 2 Type A speed: 41.21 MB/s (0.25 MB/s slower than control)
      – DP out: OK
      – HDMI out: OK (including audio delivery over HDMI)
      – DVI out: OK

I’ve been using the USB C Docking Station Dual DisplayPort for a while now, and I must say, it’s made a real difference in my setup. This little gadget is meant to help connect a bunch of different things to my laptop all at once, and it does just that.

One of the best parts is that it allows me to use two monitors at the same time. This is really handy when I need to work on more than one thing at the same time, or when I want to watch something on one screen while I work on the other. The picture quality is great, too, because it can handle 4K.

The docking station is also really good for when I need to connect other things to my laptop. There are plenty of ports for things like a mouse, a keyboard, or even a printer. And it doesn’t matter what type of laptop I have, because it works with a bunch of different brands like Dell, Microsoft, HP, ASUS, and Lenovo.

I also like that it comes with a VGA port. That means I can connect it to an older monitor if I need to. It’s nice to have that flexibility.

In summary, the USB C Docking Station Dual DisplayPort and Multiport Adapter has made working on my laptop a lot easier. I can connect all sorts of things to it, and use two screens at the same time. It’s a really useful tool, and I’mgladIhaveit.

The Selore USB C docking station oozes quality, the case is made from metal and there are two large thin rectangular feet on the bottom to stop it scratching the worktop.
The docking station has one USB 3.1 port, three USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one USB-C 3.1 data port, one USB-C charging port, one USB-C host port, one 4K@60Hz display port, one HDMI 4K@60Hz port and one HDMI 4K@30Hz port. There is also a 1Gb/s ethernet port, a combined audio and microphone jack and an SD and a micro SD card slot.
The docking station is supplied with a 65W power supply with a captive USB-C cable and a 5A quality USB-C to USB-C host cable.

I tested this docking station using my phone and also with a multimedia PC, although in the latter case, I had to use a USB 3 to USB-C adapter because the hub wasn’t recognised if I plugged it directly into the USB-C port of the computer. Obviously, I did not use the power supply in that scenario, power was provided by the host. The hub draws 372 mA when nothing is connected to it.

Both cards slots can be used at the same time, a simple read test returned a speed of around 76MB/s from the micro SD card slot and around 82MB/s from the SD card slot, with a write speed of around 50MB/s from both. These were pretty good results and were not too far off the stated speeds of the cards used.

I only tried a USB 3 stick in the USB 3.0 ports, so the read speed of 86MB/s was due to the speed of the stick, not the port.
The USB 3.1 port returned a peak read speed of 400MB/s and a peak write speed of 290MB/s, however, my PC only supports USB 3.0 speeds, so I wouldn’t have expected anything over about 480MB/s anyway and the speed is also affected by the speed of the components used in the PC.Similar results were obtained from the USB-C port using the same external NVMe SSD card.

The USB 2.0 port returned read speeds of around 36MB/s which is as expected.
The Ethernet port worked fine and it reported a connection speed of 1Gb/s.
I only tried the HDMI ports individually, they both produced really excellent pictures and sound, HDMI 1 managed 4K@60Hz, whereas HDMI 2 only managed 4K@30Hz when connected via my Samsung S22 Ultra phone, in other words, they worked exactly as described.

While my phone was connected to the hub, I tried connecting the audio port firstly to amplified speakers and then to stereo earphones, in both cases it produced excellent quality sound. The Samsung earphones had a mic and volume controls, the volume controls didn’t work, I wasn’t expecting them to though, the microphone did work, however there was a faint background whine on the recordings. Again, this may be better with a proper microphone but I didn’t test that.

Using the supplied 65W power supply with my phone produced strange results, my phone was only charging at half of its rated power, i.e. 13.5W as opposed to 27W. I also noticed that if I used other power supplies and cables, charging my phone through the hub became problematic with frequent power cycling, however this was easily rectified by turning off super fast charging on my phone. So it is possible to use this hub with a phone, but in my case, it was only charging at a rate of 8W with super fast charging disabled.
I then tried connecting this to a laptop which can charge at 65W and it started charging at almost 45W, which was a much better result.

The hub does everything it claims to do, anything that I plugged into it was recognised without problems, all the ports that I tested worked flawlessly and there are no problems having multiple items plugged in, it does almost everything extremely well. It is expensive though, even with the discount, but it is a quality product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but grea

The video shows exactly what you get and my initial impressions of build quality as well as a quick overview of the ports, so I won’t go into all that in this written section. Instead, I’ll go into what I consider most important: the transfer speeds and the port functionality. Full testing methodology included below for your information, but really, the summary is all you need to know.

Summary: Performance overall was very good, as you should expect at this price point. There was almost no difference in speed between plugging devices into this hub compared with plugging directly into the computer. An excellent range of ports supplied by the single USB C cable means that, in a nutshell, you can bring your laptop home and just plug in one USB C cable to have a fully featured workstation, connected to wired network, up to three monitors, keyboard, mouse, printer and a number of data devices like external drives.

Do check your laptop is capable of PD and video over USB C first though. This hub is capable of outputting video to an external display, although you should remember that the USB C port on your computer or device must be able to display video over USB C to use the display features (not all USB C ports do). And read the listing for important information about using this with a Mac – it won’t output to three displays separately as it does with Windows.

      Pros & Cons:
+ Good/expected: Almost no drop in performance for the USB 3.1 Type A, USB 3.1 Type C, USB 3 Type A, USB 2 Type A, Micro SD and Network ports compared to plugging into the computer directly.
+ Good/expected: DP and HDMI ports worked without issue.

At the time of review the price is 40 for “Dual DP + HDMI version. This well engineered docking station has a definite focus on display output having 4 display ports in total, VGA 2 x HDMI and a DisplayPort.
Note: MAC OS does not support MST. This USB C docking station DOES NOT support MacBook M1 chip due to the limit of Mac OS.

There are so many USB C hubs to choose from these days. The common theme being the rectangular alloy box with a USB C output cable, designed to provide a higher-spec USB C socket into a bunch of extra ports. Point to be noted that in order for this hub to work, the host device USB C port has to allow data and display.

The more ports generally the wider/larger the hub, and price point seems to be first determined by the number of display ports.

So when choosing a hub with display-out sockets the main isuue is how many monitors or displays can you drive, and that will depend both on your hardware and Operating System, and the description covers the differences between the main two OS; Windows and Mac.

Hardware is something you’ll need to check given your device specs.
The next and equal question is then how many displays do you need to drive, and what kind of connections do you need to do that?

This USB C docking station dual monitor works well for a Full-featured USB Type-C port (support Display, charging, and data transfer protocol), such as Dell XPS13/15/17, HP, Lenovo, Surface, Samsung, Chromebook, Pixel book, Dell, and others USB C devices. Docking Station requires no driver, just plug and play.

This USB C hub offers 2 Display Port inputs, at up to 8K@30Hz and one HDMI socket at 4k@60Hz. Plus a VGA socket which is useful if you need VGA. What I noticed is that if using VGA, all the outputs i.e. HDMI / DP will of 1080p quality.

I need VGA, so this is a good variant. But if you don’t forsee using VGA then perhaps a hub with a second HDMI is more useful?

The cons of this particular model are
      – that this hub doesn’t have any USB 3.0 instead it has 2 x USB2.0 input.
      – that there’s no PD USB C pass-through charging port to charge the connected device either.

Some reviewers also complained that When using this docking station their Lenovo Thinkpad goes into sleep mode and I wake it up, the 2 monitors turn on and off several times.
This docking station is not compatible with acer nitro an515-55-764b

The aluminium matt feel of the body gives a vibe that it is a well made aftermarket add-on to any laptops

The device arrived well packaged in cardboard box, there was no damage and no defects to the adapter. The adapter is was easy to set up and get started. The look of the device is great, sleek stylish design in a silvery grey colour. The device is very compact so that it can easily fit into places I need it.

      The device ports:

      – 2 x DisplayPort
      – 1 x HDMI port
      – 3 x USB 2.0 port
      – 1 x VGA
      – 1 x PD charging port

This is a great device that I have been able to connect all my messy wires up to, it performs really well. It is worth checking compatibility with apple products as this will not work which a lot of them.

I have this plugged into my computer constantly and have multiple applications running from it and I am really impressed with the heat emitting performance. I have used similar adapters in the past and had issues with the level of heat they emit, and I am pleased to say that I didn’t have any issues with this.

This is a great all in one device that performs well and is a great investment.

It works well, powering my Dell XPS while driving two monitors.
It should be noticed that the actual output to the laptop is under 90W, so for instance it would not manage to keep my dell charged if running CPU and graphic intensive apps or games.
I tested the HDMI ports and also the VGA one, I cannot comment on the DP port because I have no screens using that.
Not too large for the functionality it offers.

It really is all about the monitors. The USB A and C ports are both low bandwidth (USB 2.0), so fine for connecting a mouse or other low bandwidth devices, but not so fast for hard drives and similar.

The Selore&S-Global USB C Docking Station Dual Monitor unit was supplied in a small branded cardboard box measuring 140 x 80 x 18mm, with the USB docking unit and a small leaflet the only contents. The unit itself looks and feels precision engineered, on the top is the branding, on the long edges one side has two HDMI and one display port sockets, the other long edge has 2 USB A 2.0 ports, one USB C 2.0 port and one PD Charging port for up to 100w. On the shorter edge one contains the uplink USBC cable to a Laptop / PC and the other short edge contains a VGA female connector. A very comprehensive little package, however no USB C V3.x support which can be a sticking port for many with its much superior transfer speed performance.

In use I had no problems setting it up, very straightforward even though there are a number of cables plugging into a very small dock unit. All was well and support from the unit for the two displays worked fine. However when the laptop went to sleep, only one of the two monitors would return to life — this remained the case until I rebooted the Laptop (DELL) and happened every time forcing me to prevent the Laptop sleeping — not ideal. I have tried all sorts of reconfigurations (swapping the monitors over it follows the port not the monitor0 and different cables but the issue remains. I also noticed the unit would run quite warm after this occurrence.

Overall this is an impressive little dock with a fair number of connections on board, the lack of USB V3 and the odd issue with the monitor going offline prevents me from giving this the full 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis review is for “Dual DP + HDMI” variant.

USB C hubs come in many relative variations on a theme, and that theme is a rectangular alloy box with a short flex ending in a USB C plug, designed to leverage a single higher-spec USB C socket into a bunch of extra ports. However that C port in the host device has to be at least data and display.

The more ports generally the wider/larger the hub, and price point seems to be first determined by the number of display ports.
So when choosing a hub with display-out sockets the baseline question is how many monitors or displays can you drive, and that will depend both on your hardware and Operating System, and the description covers the differences between the main two OS; Windows and Mac.
Hardware is something you’ll need to check given your device specs.
The next and equal question is then how many displays do you need to drive, and what kind of connections do you need to do that?

So this hub then offers 2 Display Port sockets, at up to 8K@30Hz and one HDMI socket at 4k@60Hz.
      There’s also a VGA socket.
This is useful if you need VGA, but bear in mind using this socket means all displays are then 1080p.

If you need a VGA, then this is a good variant, if you don’t forsee using VGA, (and I can’t recall the last time I did) then perhaps a hub with a second HDMI is more useful?

The biggest negative however for this hub is the use of USB 2.0 (x3) sockets there’s, no USB 3.0. There’s also no PD USB C pass-through charging port to charge the connected device either.

This is then principally about driving displays, and then other peripherals, such as Keyboard and Mouse, or a webcam, but not data connections, because while USB 2.0 can move data, it is only a tenth of the speed of USB 3.0 which is 5Gbps theoretical. This is now old school itself, with USB 3.2 giving 10Gpbs and USB 4 C hitting 40Gbps.

The price point then given this can drive four displays and two displays at 8k, is quite good, however, that is perhaps at the expense of other connections.

However with so many hubs to choose from it is then really a question of what a user wants from a hub,. and if slow data, doesn’t matter, and the main use is for the display ports, including a VGA, then this offers reasonable value.

The docking hub/station arrives in a small box which is also useful to store the hub when not in use to prevent damage. The actual hub is made of metal and has a nice feel to it, and not shiny. This gives it a more professional look when used for any presentations etc., or just in your house, no glare or reflections from light.

All the sockets are labelled which is a great addition, as not everyone knows what is what, except the VGA socket but that’s pretty self-explanatory. The USB-C connector looks to be gold and the lead can be bent into position, so that it can be placed where you want it.

Overall, a very good docking hub/station.

I can transfer a great number of files to my 4TB external HDD while only utilizing one USB C slot on my laptop, leaving the other USB ports free for my wireless mouse and keyboard.

The transfer speed is highly satisfactory, and the device itself gives a sense of high quality.

This well engineered docking station has a definite focus on display output having 4 display ports in total, VGA 2 x HDMI and a DisplayPort.

This is the first time I have seen a USB-C at USB 2.0 specification, both input and output.

As with all the Selore equipment I have used, it is beautifully engineered. We’ve been using this with an old ThinkPad laptop. It has been excellent, with zero complaints. With the VGA and USB 2.0 ports, I think this is a bit of a niche product.

A great USB C hub for when you need to connect to multiple monitors and aren’t going to know what connections you’ll need. The only thing it’s missing on that part is a DVI connection.

Quality is good and connects what I need which is 2x 1080p monitors and 1x 4K monitor with no problems. I’m not sure on frame rates but for my work needs, this does the job perfectly.

Luckily my laptop has 2 thunderbolt connections capable of charging since I can charge via this dock so that’s something to bear in mind.

For basic USB needs, this has also got you covered but note that they are only USB 2.0 so may not be for everyone.

Compact USB C dock that provides three USB 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort, one HDMI and one VGA port. Allows extra monitors to be connected, although connecting the VGA does reduce all the other displays to 1080P. The three USB 2.0 ports allow for a keyboard and mouse, etc, to be connected. Having two DisplayPort connections is handy for modern multi monitor set ups. If the dock had a USB C PD port and ethernet RG45 port, it would be ideal.

The package contains the Dock and a 1M USB C to USB cable.

      Front ports:

      USB 3.0 (3 ports upto 5Gbps)
      3.5 mm jack for headsets
      Micro SD (claimed 104 MB/s)
      Standard SD (claimed 250 MB/s)

      Rear ports:

      USB C – supports Thunderbolt 3 & 100W PD charging
      USB C 3.1 (Up to 10Gbps)
      Display port (4K 60hz for DP 1.4)
      HDMI 4K@30hz
      HDMI 4K at 60hz for DP 1.4
      USB 2.0 (480Mbps)
      Gigabit Ethernet port

The dock itself is very well build and feels like a premium product, nice shop edges and has a little weight to it and an aluminium housing.
All ports are flush and not misaligned, they don’t look cheap prone to fail, like some other electronic items I’ve purchased.
      Measurements are 174 mm x 79 mm x 20 mm (Width x Depth x Height)

The base has 2 narrow rubber feet, which act very effectively to prevent the dock slipping around. Simply plug and play, no drivers or software required.

I’ve tested with a Windows 10 desktop and laptops connected to one 1080p monitor (HDMI) and two 4k monitors (DP and HDMI), it copes with this setup perfectly fine, although only one device can make use us of the bandwidth for 4k at 60hz, my other 4k display ran at 30hz. As my third display was only 1080p, this ran at 60hz.

Ethernet port, my ISP connection is still currently 516Mpbs, but I’ve connected it to my routers Gigabit port and can confirm it manages sustained Gigabit speeds (transferring data), although I have not performed in depth testing.

I don’t own any Mac devices to test with this, although I can confirm neither of our Nintendo Switch devices would work (one original and one revised/improved battery model).

Doesn’t include its own PSU, I’m using the charger from my laptop currently, for power pass through (100W).
I can confirm this works well and during my usage, the device hasn’t become very hot, as I had feared may be the case.
You can use your own USB C cable for this, which I consider a plus, as if the cable is damaged, the cable can be replaced, rather than the entire device becoming useless.

4K@60Hz for one single port max or Triple monitor at 4K@30Hz and dual 1080@60Hz simultaneously.

This genuinely has every single port you need in the real world to change your laptop to a proper desktop work station, with a couple of monitors. It works fine. However, this is a very crowded market and for the same money you can get better looking units. Obviously, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but for me the styling is a little dated. Does work great though.

If you looking to build your office set up or just upgrade your current one, thus docking hub is something you should consider. Well-built and easy to setup and most importantly it has all the ports you would ever need for an office or home environment. You can even take it with you anywhere, as the dock is actually small enough that you could throw it in your bag, and travel with it, so having that as an option is really great.
It comes with a USB c cable to connect the dock to the laptop. It doesn’t come with a power cable to power up the dock as it gets the power sourced from the laptop

On the front there is HOST type C port, a USB 3.1 port, n SD and Micro SD card reader slot, 3 USB 3.0 and an audio in and put socket (for 3.5mm jack). At the back of the dock, you’ve two USB Type C, one USB 2.0 (for older generation peripherals), an ethernet port, 2 HDMI port for the monitors and one DP port. The max resolution you can have trough the 2 HDMI port is 1920×1080 at 60Hz however I would recommend using high quality HDMI cable with it. The Docking station compatible with all well-known OS like Windows, MacOS and Linux, and with any laptop (or PC) which features with at least one USB type A or USB type C.
With this hub is a lot easier to keep my desk tidy. All cables go into the docking (ethernet, HDMI, keyboard, mouse etc) and just only one type C cable attaches to my MacBook. I like that the dock has a headphone jack on the front. I found it very convenient to use that that for external speakers. So far works great for me, never run noticeably hot but I only attached 2 monitors to it.

All in all, I found it very convenient to use it. So far works great for me, never run noticeably hot even with 2 monitors attached to it.

Most modern laptops especially MacBooks lack such ports so it is a useful hub. Equipped with USB, DisplayPort, MicroSD, HDMI, Ethernet, Thunderbolt and 3.5mm Audio.

The performance was impressive. I tested the data transfer speed over the USB port and did not experience any degradation. Powerful and can support multiple displays.

The dock is sold for laptops but you can obviously use on any device….
However like the store page shows, you should check if your laptop supports. The same goes for other devices that have USBC But on some devices i found that even if it worked for some ports others wouldnt work. It also doesnt function if you hub chain. I tried connecting it to another dock and i also tried connecting it to a USBC LCD panel which has a hub like feature built in, So keep this in mind.
I did test with one of the listed devices and it worked as described.

Takeaway from this….. Be 100% sure that your device will work with this as it is not a cheap Hub to buy.

    51. Anonymous says:

I’ve trialled this and for my purposes it works well.
The unit I’ve trialled supports a triple display (though I note the listing makes reference to a ‘quad display’ and I’m not sure if this is a different unit, or a different variation of this one).

The model I’ve tried has 1 DP and 2 HDMI outputs, which can be used simultaneously.
Bear in mind though that HDMI has limitations, and this device will struggle with really high resolutions as a result.

That said, my setup for home working normally has 2 x 1080p monitors (which on my usual Dell system, operates with 2 DP connections, but they’re only standard monitors, not 4K or similar, so HDMI works well). I’ve trialled this with a 3rd monitor and it works fine.

The front of the docking station has good connectivity including a 4 USB-A ports (one of which is the faster 3.1 spec; the others 3.0 – and you get a USB-A 2.0 port on the rear too – so really good range of options), as well as an SD card reader which is a nice touch.

The one thing which annoys me is that the USB-C ‘host’ connection (ie. to connect to your laptop) is on the front of the unit (or at least what I consider to be the front of the unit, as the ‘rear’ contains the monitor outputs, network port, etc).
They have then put 2 further USB-C ports (one of which is PD compatible) on the rear.
This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, as I would much rather all of the ‘permanently’ plugged in connections go on the rear to look neater, leaving the front empty, except when plugging in a device such as a USB-stick or similar.

But this is only a minor issue & probably more to do with my OCD-tendancies than any major design issue.

      Overall then:
      – Happy to recommend this.
      – It’s not bad value for money compared with some other branded products.
      – But be aware, this has limitations in terms of the maximum throughput it can support.

Its aluminium casing makes it a premium quality product which is even ideal for longer use as it dissipates heat.

The HDMI comes with two HDMI ports, a DP port, a USB A 3.1 port, three USB A 3.0 ports, a USB A 2.0 port, a USB C port, an SD slot, a Micro SD slot, an Ethernet port, a PD charging port, a 3.5mm audio and mic jack and a USB C Host port, also comes with a 1.5m USB C cable. It supports mirror mode and extended mode with two HDMI and display ports. Plus, it works well with Thunderbolt 3 compatible devices, such as MacBook and Samsung devices.

I must say that the entire construction quality is excellent. One of the most appealing and likely best-built switches I’ve tested. This is quite helpful to me because I do a lot of work from home and can link everything with just one hub. In fact, it has more ports than I imagine ever using, so it won’t need to be replaced. Everything I’ve linked to works as it should, and it’s sturdy and well-made.

Overall, this product is doing great in providing additional ports. I only wish that it includes a remote control so that it operates even at a distance. Still, I must say this is a great quality made product.

I always wanted to have a 1 cable connection with my mac, having multiple monitors and multiple devices connected to it. It has always been a problem, especially with the macOS system (you cannot have more than 1 monitor for each input cable – the second one would be mirrored).

This docking system was easy to set up. It is one base unit with multiple inputs. I have a laptop with only 1 C port and this expansion unit is perfect. It gives me multiple USB ports, 2 HDMI ports, an SD and Micro SD slot, a headphone jack and an Ethernet slot. It took a little time to work out which slot is the power slot you connect to your computer. The writing on the box and instructions is very difficult to see. The letter on the box is black on grey and the instruction booklet was so small I needed a magnifier on top of my reading glasses to see the instructions. If you are charging 99.99 (the price at the time of review) you need a better instruction booklet.

Set up was simple, once you find the correct port to put the supplied cable into. The computer automatically downloaded the correct drivers. I have had no issues with the HDMI or using the USB ports. I prefer this box to the HDMI cable convertor plus the USB 2 convertor box I was using before. I cannot see the value of 99.99 in this box and I think it is way overpriced.

The box works well but is overpriced.

This docking station expands one USB-C/Thunderbolt 3/Thunderbolt 4 port of a compatible laptop into fourteen (not fifteen) ports. By counting “Host: connect to laptop” as one of the docking station’s ports, the manufacturer is exaggerating the docking station’s spec. The only reason the power port is externally visible is because this particular hub comes with a separate attachable/detachable power cable (whereas most docking stations come with a built-in cable – and that’s never counted as a port). So describing this dock as a “15-in-1” is jiggery pokery. It’s a 14-in-1 docking station.

      The 14 ports are:

      2 x USB 3.1 (10 Gbps);

      3 x USB 3.0 (5 Gbps);

      1 x USB 2.0 (480 Mbps);

      HDMI 1 (4K@60HZ for DP 1.4);

      HDMI 2 (4K@30Hz);

      DP (4K@60Hz for DP 1.4);

      SD Card Reader (250 Mbps);

There’s one potential advantage of this docking station coming with a separate host-connection cable: the cable is a lengthy 1.5 metres. If you (like most people) want your hub right next to a computer on a desk, the long cable is no advantage at all – quite the opposite: it qualifies as desk clutter. If you need a bit of length in the flex from docking station to computer, however, this product gives you that. Hubs with short built-in flexes do not.

The docking station’s performance is reasonable. I have other multiport hubs that outperform this one and come with a substantially lower price tag.

The external shell is made of aluminium alloy – the standard material for most products of this nature. Aluminium is strong and lightweight, and it has excellent conductive qualities that make it ideal for heat dissipation, meaning internal components are less likely to overheat.

This is one of the more expensive laptop docking stations that I’ve used but it contains pretty much all of the connections that you are ever going to need, meaning you only have to connect one cable to your laptop. So far I’ve got all of these connected to the dock: two monitors; headset; webcam; ethernet; mouse; keyboard and USB laptop charger… then I only have one cable to connect to the laptop and it does everything including passing through power to the laptop for charging. The outer casing is metal and I think the device looks very smart.

This laptop docking station from Selore & S-Global Store offers pretty much all the io one could possibly need and want – but does so with a compromise.

Essentially, IF your laptop’s compatible (the listing does have a really good little visual guide for reference which is great), then you’re going to hit a max bandwidth limit of 10 Gbps via the docks connection to the laptop; so from my experience with the dock it all comes down to whether the maths is in your favour or not.

Our use cases at home are both for work between myself and my partner’s. My job’s a technical one, requiring dual 4k monitors and all manors of additional device plugins (external drives, graphics tablet, hi def mic’s and cameras), while my partner’s working from home is more ‘traditional’ in 1 additional 1080p monitor, a camera, keyboard and mouse. This dock does not cannot deliver on my requirements but can for my partners; so depending on your needs will depend on how much benefits you’ll be able to get out of the dock.

When it comes down to it, if you’re in the scenario whereby you have one or two 1080p monitors without high refresh rates, a mouse and a keyboard with the odd occasional use of something like a webcam or usb drive – this docking station will do a great job but you’ll be hitting it’s limits of what it can do if you’ve got any requirements above this.
