Fits perfectly. Easy to fit. Easy to take of. Simple as that. The fabric is a bit fine and delicate to look at and touch. I very much doubt it will last long, but will wait and see. Looks the part though.
Bought this to cover a 4.6m parasol and fits well. A little fiddly to initially get on but once over the top fits snugly to protect the parasol when folder.
The cover appears to be made of durable material. Longevity is hard to predict. The inclusion of the extending ‘wand’ to help put it on and off assists the user particularly those who lack height.
This cover is the perfect fit for my 8ft tall parasol that opens to 6 metres by 3 metres. It even has a telescopic rod included to hook the cover over the top of the parasol!
Quite substantial and well made. For the price, it’s certainly a lot better than I anticipated. Fits well and looks good. I’m not sure about its durability yet, as it’s early days – but I’ve paid a great deal more in the past and sunlight quickly degrades even the most expensive covers, which is why I took a chance on this one. Very satisfied and highly recommended !
Product delivered quickly and smaller width perfect for my 3M parasol. Length good too meaning it fits down to around 6 inches from my table top.
Provided telescopic rod a waste of time, a 5ft broom handle from Toolstation works a treat to slip it on and off!
Sturdy cover but no pole to get cover on, had to use old pole from previous cove
I wasn’t expecting a lot at this price point but I was very pleasantly surprised, good quality material and design. There’s a long zip on the side to make it easier to place over your parasol and around the bottom is a cord for you to pull tight so it doesn’t rise up in the wind. Near the top above the zip is a flap with mesh for ventilation to allow any moisture to escape. The shape of the design allows the cover to fit perfectly over a cantilever parasols arm and canopy etc, very happy with it and would recommend to anyone.
Larger / longer then expected for my parasol but as far as quality goes impressed. It doesnt have a strap to wrap after placing on parasol which is a shame but use a piece of material job done.
Easy to fit and seems to do the job of protecting our new large parasol from B&Q. Remind me in a year to comment on durability after the winter storms, but it has survived a few minor blows and some strong sun over the last month or so.
Really like this cover, but a bit of a pain using the supplied extension rod/pole to put it on and off, would of been better with fitted pole.
Everything is fine apart from the width being rather a tight fit & I am concerned that the Zip may not be strong enough, but fingers crossed.
The quality of the product is ideal however the extendable wand to aid putting cover back on is completely lacking in length, as a 5’2″ woman I had to stand on the chair to get it on, kind of NOT the point!!
I actually bought it to use as a Chiminea cover because we have a handmade one which is an unusual size and I couldn’t find a Chiminea cover that was long enough. So I had this brainwave and I’m so pleased with this cover. It’s great thick non-snag fabric, the drawstring and zip are great and it comes in a storage bag with a telescopic handle (which I don’t need lol).
Too soon to know if this will last, but appears durable. Good length for above picnic table ~ many were too long.
General quality pretty good. Nice strong material. Just not sure about the zip, which seems a little bit flimsy.
Overall good value though.
We choose this due it being the right size (they do a great range of sizes), 600D, Full length zip and the vent.
The Good – It fits our Outsunny Roma Parasol with LED Solar Lights (84D-109V01CG) well, although an extra 10-15cm on the length would be nice, but we knew that in advance. The extending stick works much better than others that snap together.
The not so good – The fabric is not as thick as other 600D we have and feels more like 400D, the Zip is approx 3/4 and not full length which makes it difficult to get over our 2.8M Parasol even with step ladders and the stick.
Not so sure about the Vent, which barely overlaps (covering the mesh) but as other reviews have been positive we’ll give that the benefit of the doubt.
This arrived today. It’s a good quality material, and it seems to be well made. We have a 3m round Kettler parasol. Once on the umbrella, it covers well, and comes about a foot below the umbrella itself. It has a drawstring at the bottom.
The let down is that yes, it comes with a nice rod to help you raise it up over the top of the umbrella. My husband is 6′, and didn’t quite have sufficient reach using the tool at full stretch!! The issue is that the zip stops about a foot from the top of the cover, so you have to lift it up that bit extra to get it over the top. What it needs is a full length zip, and a rod with a hook on it that goes through the zip eye. Then it would get 5 stars. As for us, and many others I suspect, we’ll have to stand on a chair which is such a shame..
I have been using this cover on a standard parasol, with lights, for a few weeks now and it has protected it well. We have had a mix of weather conditions recently; from torrential rain to blustery winds and the cover still looks as new. I think the vent and the quality of the material makes this cover stand out from the less expensive ones and I’m hoping this means it will pass the test of surviving our UK winter.
Bought to replace another brand that worked well but ripped at the top after a few years. Looks well made and has a vent at the top to avoid mildew, but time will tell. The telescopic “pole” works well to reach the top of the parasol and folds away to a very small size. The only negative is that the cover is quite long so there is a lot of surplus material if the parasol is within a table; possibly why the Amazon picture shows it on a stand alone parasol.
Very good quality, easily covers a 2.5 metre diameter parasol and mine is 2.7m high and it is long enough to cover further down the pole, mine is freestanding. I used a broom handle to help put it on with it being so high, zip makes it easier and I attached a cord to the zip to make it easier to reach. Toggles tighten well at the bottom and can then tie the cords round pole to secure.
Haven’t had any rain yet to test how waterproof it is but the vent in the top is a good idea as we tend to have winds most days. Highly recommend.
I really, really like this cover. It’s functional, the fabric is waterproof and it covers our 3 metre parasol very well. The only thing I don’t like is the fact I can’t get it over the parasol without standing on a chair and this was before I put it in the centre of the table. There is an extending rod which is meant to make it easier but it doesn’t come close to reaching high enough so I’m going to have to improvise. Everything else about this is really good it just needs another half a metre adding to the rod.
I purchased the Dokon parasol cover (420D Oxford fabric) from Amazon, Jun 2018, and used it continuously outdoors to the present day (Aug 2020). The Dokon parasol cover is a stunningly good product. Totally unlike an adjacent sited OMORC BBQ cover (claims to be 600D Oxford fabric), which has has torn/splits/holes in several places after less than a year outdoors, and is somewhat waterlogged and is growing moss, leading to temporary corrosion of stainless steel BBQ it’s covering, the Dokon parasol cover is very hydrophobic (water repelling; rain simply beads and rolls off the fabric), weatherproof, is not growing moss, has not degraded in any way, and virtually looks as good as the day it was purchased. I am so pleased with the Dokon parasol cover, I’m going to purchase a Dokon BBQ cover to replace the aforementioned rubbishy OMORC one!
