We’ve had a fan from this company for about 10 years. Worked great but it’s old and worn out. So I went and bought the biggest and most expensive one they have now thinking this will last as long as the last one and move more air.
Well it started out great – spun up at about 150 and ran until our stove was almost cold. But after about 2 weeks, maybe 3 ti stopped starting at the low temperatures and then it stopped running at times.
I contacted the company and they asked me for my information on the unit and the purchase. Sent that information in this morning and immediately received a phone call from them. They identified a rare but potential issue – parts loosening up and not making proper contact – I guess I’m a lucky one.
So to correct the issue they are sending me a replacement and a new motor for my old unit (for free). I was also told that the new unit has a 4 year warranty (should have paid attention to that) and that if anything else goes wrong they will take care of it.
While the initial issue upset me the companies quick reaction shows they care about their business and their customers and that this is not an issue they expect or like.
I hope my new unit lasts as long as my old one and that my old one continues for a few more years as well with a new motor. But I know running at 400 to 600 F is not an easy thing for any product. So I’m happy with the results we’ve gotten so far.
Keep up the good work.
After the small heater 14000 BTU direct vent heater warms up about 2 minutes the fan starts and runs great while the heater is on. After the heater shuts off, the fan runs an additional 4 or 5 minutes until the heater cools sufficiently. Helps circulate tremendously but wish it was a bit bigger or I wish I had 2 of these. : j
Was sceptical at first but the fan appears to work well. I used a thermometer to check and it came on exactly as it said it would. Appears to move air when holding a tissue a few feet away.
We first bought a different fan for our wood stove, trying to save money, ended up sending it back because it didn’t distribute the air very well . So Glad we got this Ecofan !! You can really feel the difference . It moves the air around Very well.
Works great! More money than lots of this type but it works 24 hours a day on our Hearthstone Heritage stove. Helps move air around the room.
Using no electricity and making no sound at all, this is the best thing to happen since we got the wood stove. Pushes the heat out perfectly.
Noticeable difference. Our wood stove is located in the basement and this fan work well with pushing heat upstairs and throughout the basement. All this with no power! Glad I purchased.
We wanted an effective but silent wood stove fan, and that is exactly what the AirDeco II is. Ours came with a 4 year guarantee and spare parts are readily available.
May seem expensive (ours cost quite a bit less on offer) but as a long term investment that is going to be used daily for 4-5 months each year it is extremely good value as it is a pleasure to use. The guarantee underwrites the quality of this stove fan.
Highly recommended (but seek out the availability at lower prices).
We were merry about this working- but it does a decent job circulating hot air in our small home from the wood stove
The fan works great, our living room and family room are much warmer.
While the fan is very nice, low noise and works at low temperatures… it doesn’t move as much air as other models I’ve used and it is quite expensive for what you get.
Quality seems good, but I will need to update later after more significant use.
A bit overpriced, however, don’t let that stop you – you’ll get over it because it’s such an outstanding product. Their customer service and product support are also top shelf – something many companies could learn from.
Bought this after having bought a smaller version earlier last year. This one definitely pushes more air and helps the hot air from my fireplace circulate better. Only real issue is it sounds like the blade may not be 100% stable as some times it makes noises like it’s not balanced. But still pushes air around and helps keep the house warm.
