Lightweight and sturdy makes moving heavy cumbersome loads ( like my washing machine ) an almost effortless breeze on hard surfaces . A pleasure to use. I would like the option of broad wheels ( like a golf trolley ) for gravelled, lawned or sand areas
Very pleased with this product , I mainly want it to help me carry pots and compost or anything else heavy in the garden , which it does easily .
Seems well made and strong , but only time will tell.
so i bought this asi was moving house, and i gotta say, it was a life and back saver, made things so easy to move about, and when finished, it folded up easily for me to store
Sturdy barrow and well made. However, the height adjustment release bar is difficult to use i.e. very stiff. Being an elderly lady, I had to ask my Son to heighten the handle for me.
This is one of those products that for most of us just sits in storage, and so it is that I have no immediate use for it.
But when you suddenly need it, perhaps to move an old washing machine or other heavy item out of the house, you can’t imagine not having it to hand.
I had to defrost our small freezer recently and the experience of getting it out into the garden without wheels underneath it, immediately prompted me to buy this trolley so I don’t have to go through all that again without nearly breaking my back.
So the trolley itself is very robust and quite impressive to look at, well made and folds away neatly. The metal load plate is generous in size and looks strong enough to support anything we need to move around with ease. The wheels are big enough to go over rough surfaces and the instructions say they are anti woble, which must be good.
It comes fully assembled with the load plate folded upwards and the handle fully retracted. However, the handle mechanism is my one point of criticism. To release the upper half of the bar and extend it, there is a thinner wire handle in the middle. I couldn’t figure out how this worked at first, but after looking at the instruction card that came with it, I realised the direction of movement was a bit illogical, as standing behind the trolley, you have to push the wire bar away from you to release the extension. I can now do this easily by spreading my hand from the wire to a support strut below and pushing, but my wife had great difficulty with this as her hand is too small to bridge that gap and she ended up repeatedly tugging at the release wire with the extension refusing to deploy. She has managed to extend the bar now, but it is a pity its so fiddly for someone with small hands, but after a few goes, she has got used to the knack of doing it.
Apart from that, I have no regrets buying this trolley and it is perfect for my needs. This review is of the BT-HT 90 trolley.
I bought this in 2013 through Amazon and I have been very impressed with it.
It has helped me move all matter of things from tall fridge freezers, washing machines and the likes.
I have seen some reviews saying it is not sturdy but to be fair the only thing that I have eve had issues with was the stiffness of the handle when extending up and down however it has lasted a hell of a long time and the only reason for writing this review now is that my one got stolen this past week so I am looking to buy another one and this came out the best if what Amazon has to offer so will buy it again.
Bought this as I was moving home. Very pleasantly surprised as it’s not the biggest and with heavy appliances to shift I wondered if I should have bought something bigger and stronger.
I needn’t have worried, the trolley did it all and did it with ease. The size means it’s far easier to store than the larger trolleys I’ve borrowed before.
I’m only 5’1 and my husbands 6ft, we both find this sack trolley easy to manoevre and we’ve no problem going up the outside steps.
It’s nice and light, well made, and has a deep footplate. So far I’ve used it for large terracotta plant pots filled with compost and 25KG sacks.
I store it hung up in the shed.
The best out of a bunch of these items available.
Good price, and it does the job well.
It is obviously not bullet proof, but good enough to do the job without breaking.
I made sure that I did not put undue stress on it.
Using a ratchet strap to hold everything on the footplate and over the top of the back helped to stop it twisting nicely, and is good practice with any sack truck.
Folds up very well indeed.
Very pleased with this purchase.
I already have a bigger trolley for the garden, which tackles all sorts of heavy lifting out there, but it’s only just occurred to me how useful a smaller one would be around the house. It was taking delivery of 50kgs of bird food that put the idea into my head. It’s always delivered to the front door, which means I have to manhandle it the length of the house to the back door – and at the moment I have back and hip problems, so a small trolley seemed like the obvious solution.
I had a quick search and this one seemed to be a good compromise between size, price and quality. It was delivered very quickly and was ready to use straight from the box.
And it’s great: perfect for what I wanted it for. It’s light to move around, but very sturdy. The handle extends to a useable height, and then can be slid back down … making the whole thing small enough to be tucked out of the way when not needed.
If I have a slight cavil, it’s that the mechanism for raising and lowering the handle requires a bit of strength in your hands – which I have fortunately – but it does mean that this might not be suitable for anyone with, for instance, arthritis (although I’ve used it a couple of times now and it does seem to be easing a bit – so it may just need to work in for a while).
In general though, a good buy, which I foresee being in use around the house for many years to come.
