I bought these batteries because I have a bluetooth computer mouse that has it’s own charger which the mouse is placed on when not in use. Unfortunately, and I don’t know why, the battery will not charge up on it, but that’s probably something to do with the charger, not the battery. Obviously I cannot comment on the longevity of the batteries as I haven’t had them long enough, and as for “Remote Control”, (seen in the original advert), what does that even mean? They are batteries, so are not controlled in any way, remotely or not.
Latest news, My charger is working properly now and the batteries charge up nicely.
I bought the pack of 8 AA’s to replace my 9 year old ones that I had stuffed in a draw for a few years uncharged and not looked after. They charged very quickly in the energizer fast charger, certainly MUCH quicker than you can flatten the ones you’ve just taken off charge!
Always have spares for my game boy, xbox controller, gPI, mostly gaming things (everything else nowadays comes with built in battery). They last longer than single use batteries, especially in my gPI that is powering a raspberry pi and colour screen.
I have the AAA equivelants aswell, and recommend them just as highly.
We are gradually replacing all our batteries with this brand.
The only issue I had with this purchase was that the neat, sturdy cardboard box concealed two shrink-wrapped packs of 4 inside. Slightly missing the poi
I bought a previous smaller pack some time ago to replace the original batteries in a Panasonic home phone and they have worked really well and hence why I bought this bigger pack. I have a neat Duracell battery charger that I use for charging and have had no problems with them in this respect
I’m currently using some of them as a replacement to very old Apple batteries I had in a mouse and keyboard and so far the performance is excellent.
If they last as long as the Apple batteries, I will be very happy.
Doing my bit for the planet and swapping over to rechargeable batteries. Mostly bought the Energizer AA Extreme range at 2300mah but you can’t seem to get those in bigger multi-packs. These are 2000mah so still much better than alkaline batteries and you don’t have to throw them away after one use.
Long-lasting batteries, used by me in camera accessories like flash heads, flash triggers and light meters. Haven’t let me down, but I always fully re-charge before every use (and carry spares) so I’ve never tested their full endurance to the limit. The one issue I have, which isn’t their fault at all, is that battery charge level indicators on some of my equipment doesn’t register their full level of charge (always showing only one bar), as the kit prefers to accept alkaline batteries. Nevertheless, I trust them to have the full charge I put in and this has always proved to be the case. Just something to be aware of when moving your operations to re-chargeable batteries. It may not be the batteries failing to fully charge, your kit just may not be able to read their level of charge!
They last ages in my Xbox One controller.
I did put two in the Christmas Reindeer toy at Christmas though and now they have disappeared because the reindeer itself has vanished. I suspect my other half got fed up of our daughter constantly making the reindeer sing and so she made the reindeer ‘disappear’ – but if that’s the case then batteries outlasted her patience and that’s a sign that they are good batteries.
Energizer is ment to be a top make & was known for lasting but they will do us for now till we can get some more poss not Energizers tho .
First things first, these Energizer Rechargeable AA Batteries are rated at 2000 mAh.
What does that mean exactly?
Well, they are ideal for everyday items and slow drain consumables like Christmas fairy lights and anything that has a string of LED’s etc. Personally, I wouldn’t use them in high-drain items as they’ll not last and you’ll be disappointed.
Next I put the batteries on a test cycle where they are charged->discharged->recharged to ascertain what capacity each was able to hold. I have Chinese lithium’s where they outrightly lie about the specification eg 5000mAh 18650’s that only hold an average of 800mAh for the entire pack so I was not expecting great things about the claimed 2000mAh of these NiMH Energizer AA cells. Out of the sixteen there was only one below par (and I will re-test that), they all had over 2100mAh capacity, some were nearly 2300mAh, the average was around 2200mAh. So there you have it. Coupled with the fact that these batteries were the cheapest to buy and have some recycled content (not a primary selling point for me) the batteries are a no-brainer. Small number of folk that have given poor reviews here ought to get a proper charger.
