Epaderm Cream, 500g

Epaderm Cream, 500g

Direct to Skin
Epaderm Cream can be applied immediately after washing to counteract the loss of essential oils from the skin. It should be applied generously and frequently – even when the skin has improved.
Directions: apply Epaderm Cream directly onto the skin in the direction of hair growth, this will reduce the risk of blocking hair follicles.
As a Substitute for Soap
When caring for dry skin conditions, The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommends washing with emollients rather than detergents or soaps, as these can increase water loss from the skin. Using Epaderm Cream as a skin cleanser helps ensure that dry skin can be properly washed, without losing additional moisture.
Directions: dispense a small amount onto your hand, lather under warm water and then use as a normal soap.

My sister recommended this cream. The skin on my face kept going very red and itchy. I had tried others but some made it worse. Anyway, this is perfect. No redness and no itching now. I will keep using this. Yesterday I noticed my friend is having problems with his face so I rubbed some of the cream on. He message me this morning to ask what it was called. He said just that small amount had done his face a power of good. He has ordered some.
This is an excellent cream to soothe the skin. My 89yr old mother is using it with great delight having tried all the “top” lotions and potions advertised for her dry skin. Trust her if it’s working on her skin it’s certainly worth giving it a go and it’s not expensive
The product fully lives up to our expectations, but the shipping packaging was of a lousy quality, so the package was actually open when we received it. Fortunately nothing happened to the products.
Good to use does the job and the price is right.
I have been buying this for years and now they have set the minimum buy to 6 units
Really disappointed
I love this cream! I suffer from psoriasis and after trying what seems like hundreds of products, this soothing, rehydrating cream works best for me.
I now have a subscription for it. It feels great, absorbs quickly and I’ve found it has eradicated the scaling from some areas, not only calming but helping to bring my skin back to some form of normality. I stopped using it for a few months and tried another, but came running back to this and found comfort in it within 24 hours. If your hunting for a lotion that works, its worth a try.
Nice to use, absorbs easily.
No smell .
Suits me well.
This is such a great cream, goes in well especially putting it on after a shower or bath. My skin is so much better using this cream. Love it!
Only thing that keeps my skin moisturised and not itching
Little one suffers from dry and eczema skin, I apply this after bath time and it stops the itching and flare ups.. a holiday must have.
Have very sensitive skin, have never been able to use any product on my face, no make up at all, lotions or potions. But was advised at my local chemist, try this. I now have a fabulous product to dehydrate my very sensitive site n.
Since I started using this cream, there is no longer itchy dry skin. I feel the moisture even after 12 hours. Much better than other expensive creams like aveeno and etc.
I find it to be a bit dry compared to the other epaderm cream the Vaseline type one is way bette
Best used on slightly damp skin, it will go much further and also help lock in some moisture.
I have also used it on myself as I get dry skin in the winter, and again, works a treat. Highly recommend for horse and human!
I’ve suffered from eczema and dry skin for years – until I started using this product regularly. I was first prescribed it by my doctor to help with a nasty flare-up on my back. I thought the size of the bottle was a bit over the top, until I realised how much I’d need to use haha.
It’s a great consistency – cream, but not too thick that it’s hard to spread. It soaks in quickly but literally made my skin softer after just a couple of days. I was using steroid creams as well at first, but since the prescription ended I now use this daily and my skin troubles have never returned.
There is a slight medicinal smell to it when first applying (think faint antiseptic smell) but it is undetectable once you have clothes on.
What I also like is that you can get travel size versions of this cream too – I keep one in my wash bag at all times (although the consistency of the travel size is runnier).
Since I haven’t had a flare up for months, I now purchase this myself rather than expecting the NHS to stump up every month or so – you can get it cheaper in high street chemists etc but I find their stock levels are very hit or miss, so I opt to pay 1 more on Amazon for the guarantee I’ll get it.
I did try another brand of cream which was similar in that it was for eczema/psoriasis and parrafin based but I found it was clogging up my skin and the cream had a thin layer of water on top which probably meant that it was going off… It clearly wasn’t good so I swapped over to epaderm. Unfortunately they have the biggest range of products and epaderm has a very small range.
I also tried another cream that I got which was fragrance free and meant to be applying intensive moisture but I felt like I was still itching my arms almost every day and my skin was still bumpy. It got to a point where the itching would make my arms bleed sometimes and I also had to take allergy tablets too! Not good.
Epaderm has changed all of this – I like the pump as you can just take out how much u need and unlike a big pot – you don’t cross contaminate like the other big pot of cream I tried before where the water was separating out of the cream! I haven’t itched myself in a while – apart from occasionally on my back but the south east of England has had a heatwave for a good 2 weeks now and my arms still aren’t itching at all! Thank goodness!
I won’t use it on my face though as I feel like the cream is too thick and will clog me all up so I will need to find something else for the face…
In due course we started to use Epaderm for all body washing and moisturising and it was amazing – but it was expensive. So for the last year or so I’ve tried various other emollients that are cheaper. For a few months that seemed to work fine, but ultimately the dry skin problems returned and I had to buy additional moisturisers to use after washing with the (cheaper) emollients, which defeated the object. So I have returned to Epaderm and once again, finding it brilliant.
To summarise, it’s great. My experience is that eczema, psoriasis and general dry skin are better off washed and moisturised with Epaderm; as an aside, it’s also great for clearing and preventing irritation in skin folds (ladies blessed with larger than average boobs will appreciate this!) and is good under make-up: it makes a great tinted moisturiser when mixed with foundation. They even seem to have upgraded the packaging recenlty so it’s easier to dispense than it used to be.
Having tried pretty much all of the competition, this is by far my favourite, but boy do the costs add up, and that’s why I’m removing one star. That said, the results and ease of use mean that I’ve decided to bite that particular bullet and stick with it.
I ordered this on prime for next day delivery because I couldn’t handle waiting until I found my other bottles anymore (which i still haven’t found to this day) and the first 2 days I will admit it hurt like a bitch to put on my skin but within a week me face had completely cleared up, my skin is soft, smooth and dry skin free, I have not found another cream that can do this, and this fast and relatively pain free, I was recommended e45 before this and it was like pouring acid on my face.
This is a skin saver, and now my nightly routine, I love it stupid amounts and I honestly lizard face without it.
will also add some before and afters to show the difference, now excuse the shiny forehead in the after photo as I had just put the cream on (putting it on made me realise I should really do a positive review for it) and as you can see mainly in the eyebrow area that it really has improved the sore dry red spots are gone and the flaking skin, although can’t see much flaky skin due to me being an awful picker, which probably doesn’t help with the whole redness, but I mean, you try putting on your eyebrows with bits of dry skin hanging off them, it aint easy 😉
either way 10/10 will probably be buying the rest of my life!
