Bought it initially to put some rivnuts in a bike frame. Did the job admirably. Its a well thought out kit and sturdy. With trial and error you can adjust the levers for one handed or two handed operation but its best to practice on a couple of holes to get the strength right especially on the smallest rivnut. On the down side the instructions aren’t very clear.
Only needed 2 but brought this kit as figured it would always come in handy. Fitted on the motorhome to keep the door keeper thingies in place. They were previously held by pop rivets but these are a much better solution!
I have already used this riveter to fit four M5 threaded inserts to my bicycle frame to support a large e-bike battery, and it did the job flawlessly. The gun provides just the right amount of leverage to properly install threaded rivets up to M6 size, and unlike some larger guns that can take larger M8 and M10 rivets, this smaller gun will not provide too much leverage and snap the tool in the way some customers report for those larger guns used with smaller rivets. Its very easy to tell when a rivet is fully compressed and at this point you should stop applying more pressure as you may break the tool. This is an excellent product when used properly and I am finding new places to install threaded rivets to mount bicycle accessories and don’t know how I managed without one. Highly recommended.
I needed to attach a pair of casters to a ceramic heater only provided with a wall mount bracket as we needed it to be mobile,
The kit worked well, i was able to attach the casters firmly to the base, we can now move it room to room no problem & sturdy with it.
No complaints, I wasn’t expecting professional quality, but this is perfectly adequate for most users, the rivets will work just fine as long as you don’t overtighten the screws that you subsequently use in them. I don’t understand people who pay for a cheap product and then complain that it isn’t high end professional kit.
Wanted this to add a replacement bottle cage boss to my bike frame to replace one which has a striped thread- worked perfectly and very easy
I manage to install water bottle cage mount on my bicycle using the rivet gun. I had to watch videos on how to use . It could do with a very well descriptive manual.
Good tool for doing the job I bought it for. Won’t be using it a lot so good enough.
Very impressed with quality for price. I bought this because it was cheap and expected to bin it after I’d finished the project I was doing. It’s actually a great little tool, well made and strong, so has taken pride of place in my toolbox. Everything but the tool itself isn’t great quality, I had some rivnuts already but if I didn’t I wouldn’t have used the ones supplied and the box is your standard plastic nasty

This rivet gun was bought to fix the number plate on the car and it worked great as the inside is threaded and you can screw coloured plastic number plate screws into it .
I used this rivnut gun to put insert on a chassis frame of 2mm thick steel. Did the job perfectly well – the bigger inserts require a bit of effort but thats to be expected. Gun works perfectly.
This kit looks very sturdy, did not get a chance to use it after all as on first place I planned to the material turned out to be too thick. However very nice box to keep it organized till next time. Good value for money.
