This is a good wood preserver. Used this for end cuts of timber and preserving timber as well

I bought this to coat an old bit of garden furniture that needed protection from the elements due being used outside. The preserve was easy to apply via brush, although it is quite runny which is something to be mindful of. It went on well and smoothly, and has left the wood looking a beautiful colour again. It also dried very quickly during the hot weather and I’m very pleased with the results, time will tell whether or not the protection lasts, but for now I’m very happy – would recommend

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well and easy to apply

A little bit of damp in my loft caused by condensation from a party wall. Stopped the problem and increased loft ventilation and waited a year for the loft to dry out. Just to be on the safe side, coated all the timber with the preserver. One tin did the entire roof. Coverage depends on absorption of the timber. Thin as water, so very economical and easy to apply. I just used a paintbrush, rubber gloves and a mask with eye coverage. Judging by the ingredients, it’s as good as any other.
    Recommended.

Used this product on non-treated timber to form some planters before priming and top coating. It’s very thin so goes on well but be careful when applying as it tends to flick/drip off the brush. Read the warnings on the tin before you start. Soaks in well. Time will tell if it works or not.

Bought this for my front small panel fence , it was brand new wood panels so it lapped up the preserver , I had to buy another one it doesn’t go far on new wood , so far so good but time will tell

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWould seem to be a quality product but be aware, this is water soluble & the treatment is not waterproof after application. You will need to go over the wood again with a good quality wood stain such as Ronseal.. double protection always good though.

Good drying time, very easy to apply. Looks to be rain resistant. Bit expensive.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to apply and dries quickly. Applied to a new wooden door step for extra protection. Ask me in 5 to 10 years how well it works!

Used this on a bottom of a chair that had sat to long in the garage and damp/rot had set in. All I can say is it worked a treat.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a spirit-based wood preservative, which I like, because I feel it penetrates better than water-based products. The only reason I didn’t give it 5-star, is because I have yet to see how well it actually inhibits rot. I guess one has to trust that it will…

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersIt was surprisingly hard to find wood preserver in small volume (less than 5l) for a small job treating the cut ends of railway sleepers until I came across this. The product is a milky and watery consistency, it’s easy to apply but expect drips as it is so watery, left to dry in the sun for a couple of hours before a second application (there are no instructions on drying time). Hard to tell at this point how protective it’s been but will know in a year or so I guess. I’ve also used to treat the shed on one side, I suspect I lost quite a lot due to dripping but I’m happy with the product for the price/size
