Bought this to go with mini computer works very well, Stephe
Bought this to put DVD’s onto a flash drive using my laptop, to play music in my car.
Works a trea
I’ve got a whole lot of CD’s to rip so got this Ito use with my MacBook
.
First impressions, small, light, neat configuration for cables, sits nicely on the desk.
Connected with my MacBook straight away
It wasn’t amazingly fast, it rips about as quickly as my old laptop with built in CD player but it was doing the job just fine when I noticed that it was finding it harder and harder to read CD’s. I accept that this will sometimes happen- not all my CD’s are in pristine condition but this was struggling with disks in really good condition and when it failed to read it took ages and often got stuck so the only way I could resolve the problem was to disconnect it .
However the good news…
I contacted the vendor as it was outside the amazon return period. They were very helpful and responsive and after sending them confirmation of purchase and a video of the flyer not working they sent me a new one which arrived the next day .
So back to normal and ripping away happily
I’ve given four stars as it broke down so I’m slightly worried they new one won’t last the course but given the customer service there’s no reason not to buy this product , I was very impressed .
Very happy with this product. It is well worth the price. Compact and worked perfectly with my laptop. It arrived by 20th June delighted with service.
A little fiddly at first, but once correctly connected with the usb 3 cable, no problem whatsoever. Great customer service!
Haven’t actually used it yet in the process of learning how to use windows 11spent a year learning windows 10 from XP.I think I will be going backwards 11 might be easier for professionals my last order was on windows 11, I have put it in bin its useless, doesn’t cover what I want to know I have paid almost 2k for a new laptop it doesn’t have a cd dvd drive and think I will be binning that all the good bits of computing seem to be disappearing cannot cee the progress in that at all
Some of us still have a lot of DVDs, and this let you play them on a MacBook or the like. Has a card reader incorporated.
The unit seems to work most times, but does have an annoying habbit of opening the tray on its own, sometimes mid-burn, which is not good!
I had recently purchased a new laptop, which unfortunately didn’t have a built in disc drive.
So this BENUD dvd player just fits the bill. It is said to be made of aircraft grade aluminium so it definitely feels a quality product.
Initially I did have some trouble linking it to my laptop, which was purely down to my lack of ability to marry the two machines. However my friend came to the rescue, so now everything works just fine.
So simple to use, just plug in one cable, stick in a disc, and away you go.
My only beef is that the cable is quite short but I suppose you could extend it a bit if required.
Bought to recover video from 20 year old home made DVDs. Recognised by MacOS immediately. When I needed to write back of DVD-R I installed Handbrake and if worked flawlessly. It seems well made, supported USB-B and USB-C, the cables neat tuck away and it’s cheap – what’s not to like?
You really shouldn’t have to write a review of something that works the way it is supposed to – but here we are.
It works the way it’s supposed to. No gimmicks, no fuss. Connect it up and it works just fine. Not the slimmest, not the bulkiest. Not the lightest, not the heaviest. It works – and that’s all that really matters, right?
Excellent cd player. Working very well and fast for both ripping and burning cds. Highly recommended
Used other external drives before but this one is far more straightforward to set up – just need to download a Blu Ray player software package and you are good to go.
Other external drives I have used in the past have always had issues – this one is not only easy to set up but the quality of build and performance is excellent !
Highly recommended.
I have not tried all its features yet but it is compact, lightweight, and portable. It is more suited to a Laptop than a desktop or tower computer as the cables are too short and I am not sure if extending the cable will rob it of enough power to function without using another cable. It is a bit light and fiddly balanced on top of the computer but would be better on a desktop.
TL:DR – a bit faffy setting up with a Mac but it will get there in the end.
I found this a bit tempermental to begin with – my first few attempts at playing a Blu-Ray amounted to a lot of whirring but no sign of the disc showing up anywhere on the desktop. Restarting the laptop, and then alternating between having the drive connected to power and not, the Blu-Ray eventually showed up but I was initially still unable to play it. Based on asking a question and reading other reviews, my understanding was that with a Mac product, having VLC already installed would be sufficient – however, I found that wasn’t the case (it couldn’t read a protected Blu-Ray). I followed online instructions and installed the required key and library files in the correct locations but my MacBook said that it couldn’t verify the developer of the library file and therefore wouldn’t let me use it due to risk of malware. So VLC is a no-go for me with Blu-Rays. I didn’t want to pay for Blu-Ray player software (at this point I still wasn’t sure if the drive worked properly), so downloaded the free Leawo software (which has a fairly crap interface but is functional) – and was then able to play the Blu-Ray. I tried switching off and restarting several times to test that the drive was consistent, and it did successfully play the Blu-Ray each time after that point. I can’t speak as to long term viability, but the drive does do what I require (simply play Blu-Rays on my MacBook Air) and seems decent value for money given the prices of some of the better-known brands.
Review of : : BUNUD External CD-DVD-BLURAY drive – model no: CT10 (B0B7WNGMRS)
So far so good! (5 stars award)
I purchased this drive in order to convert home bluray discs into PC files and to date it hasn’t failed with the usage of multiple discs.
It powers up very quickly using its integrated cable but it is also reassuring that an additional cable is supplied with the product to assist if needed.
I am very pleased so far. The drive was delivered to me promptly and I consider it to be of good value against other well known brands.
It is also good to know that if I have any difficulties in the future, that customer service say they will attend to it if they can.
Thank you BUNUD/homeyuanservice.
Bought this so I can copy burn CD’s on my iMac . Not disappointed works great.
The other reason I went for this model was the card reader, as a recent upgrade to my Mac killed my last one.
Again not disappointed .
great little device.
