How to use the solar panel to charge batteries?
Step1 Set the panel, expose the cell side of the panel to sunshine.
Step2 Connect the battery to the battery’s output ports of the solar charge controller, please don’t reverse the positive pole with the negative pole.
Step3 Connect the panel to the PV input ports of the solar charge controller. Before connecting, please check the input voltage range of your controller (the output voltage of our solar panel is 18.15V). The panel will start charging while connected.

I ordered the twin pack of these solar panels. Unfortunately one was faulty. After making sure I was not some comedian trying to get an extra panel for free, they sent a new one out which worked as expected. I would use this supplier again as any item can be faulty and it is reassuring to know that the company will make good any problems. They look very well made and are certainly as flexible as stated. I have not yet had time to fit them to my boat.
Well packaged, despatched quick, did a test in full sun achieved 350w so happy with that…too soon to give a proper review because time tells….if they perform as good in 6 months I would definitely buy more
Excellent power output. With the two panels in series I was getting 186watts and I was expecting a lot less.
These came well packed and in good condition.
They work, however they don’t seem to achieve their maximum rated power. In direct strong sunlight I have seen 50% of rated power. I am using an mppt controller.
Still good value, but there may be better options for just a bit more money
This flexible solar panel seems well made and works well. It took a little time for me to source the extra [arts needed, as this panel has MC4 connectors, so you need more MC4 connectors to attach the panel to a suitable solar controller or a compatible battery. Once I had sourced the required parts, it has worked well. The only thing that puzzled me a little is that the connection box with the cables is on the same side as the sensitive side of the panel, potentially casting shadows on the cells. This can however be resolved relatively easily, so only a minor issue really.
Overall, it works and I have no complaints.
These look great I checked voltage on a fairly overcast day and it was very good. Super light and easy to handle. Have yet to get the permanently placed.
Good performing solar panel
Great solar panel that performs well in good sunlight, looks good on solid black and has secure mounting.
I used in my shed roof to provide power to lights through a charge controller and a battery and it has no problem providing the power needed, the charge controller says it is providing 2.5 amps and 16 volts on a clear sunny day.
This would be a great panel for people that need a panel to power a few low power items.
The solar panel comes on its own no battery; I thought it would have one so i only got to test it at my neighbours house using his battery. Great product and price
This panel is so much more flexible than I was expecting. I mounted it on a slightly bent roof without any issue and it looks like it’s working well. I am not sure if by doing so I made it a bit less efficient, but even if it is, I would say I didn’t notice it.
Although weight is not an issue for me, it’s super light. So putting a few on light vehicles won’t increase the weight at all.
Overall I think it’s a good panel and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a light and flexible one.
i would buy again , charges ecoflow battery easily and in good sun have seen 190 watts
The FIREFLY ENERGY Solar Panel Flexible 50 W is a highly-rated solar panel with many customer reviews highlighting its impressive flexibility and durability. With the ability to bend up to 30 degrees, the panel can be curved to fit into many different locations and situations, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a solar panel that can adapt to their needs.
Customers have also been impressed with the panel’s efficiency, with many noting that it consistently produces a strong and steady power output. This makes it ideal for use in RVs, boats, or remote locations where access to electricity is limited or non-existent.
In addition to its efficiency, the panel is also well-constructed, featuring strong and durable materials that can withstand harsh weather conditions. Customers have noted that the panel is built to last and can survive even during severe weather events.
However, some customers have commented on the panel’s weight, which can make it difficult to install and handle. Additionally, the panel may require a considerable amount of sunlight to produce a significant amount of energy, which may not be an issue in sunny areas but could be problematic in less sunny regions.
Overall, the FIREFLY ENERGY Solar Panel Flexible 50W is an excellent option for anyone looking for a high-quality and reliable solar panel. With its flexibility, durability, and impressive efficiency, it’s easy to see why the panel has received such positive reviews from its customers.
Flexible Solar Panel – 50Kw
Very lightweight (1.2kg),flexible solar panel.
Easy to attach via glue and the eyelets in each corner, attached leads on the short side at 70cm.
Firefly solar panel 50W is honestly a decent enough and has made a reasonable addition to on top of my workshop in the garden.
Although this 50W so I was not entirely expecting it to power everything inside it does an ample little job at being a nice little backup module paired with a battery to hold the charge its generating when working away. it was honestly super easy to apply and has held itself up really well.
Personally this would honestly make a brilliant addition to anybody who is traveling a lot in a motor home as a solid little generator over time as it does do a good job at harnessing power, the cable length is something I’m a tad disappointed with overall but the limiting factor is I’m using this statically on a shed.
Would I recommend this yes its been great while and does an ample job.
Easy installation , good price , good quality even works in cloudy weather .
This works as expected, it is sturdier than most flexible panels, plus does not reflect a glare from the sun. I ecpect it to be more efficient too though I have not measured it.
Fantastic solar panel, very lightweight, easy to install, looks very neat on the roof of my T4
Do not just rely on glue to hold the flexi panels on. Always use a capped fixing too. Good product will definitely purchase again from this company, good delivery time too.
Most panels have a pattern of cells and wires but these are just solid black which personally I like.
There are no mounting holes and the documentation recommends glueing it down but this would not work on the roofing felt under mine so I had to put some clips around each corner to hold it down, there is not much space between the edge of the panel and the active area so this needs to be done carefully.
Another very minor issue is that it does not shed water as well as any of my other panels. If it rains or there is heavy condensation then this does not run off the panel very well – but you are probably not going to get much power in this weather anyway but I am mentioning it as a oddity.
On the actual power output it is winter so I am not getting much but it is performing as well or slightly better than my other 100W panels so I am entirely happy with it.
Looking at other reviews people mention the packaging and I agree that this is exceptionally good. It comes in a thick cardboard box with layers of corrugated zig zag cardboard around the panel. Easily the best packaging of any panel that I have bought.
Update now that it is not mid winter – the power still looks good for a 100W panel so I have no doubts that it will perform as advertised in summer. Still a little annoyed by the lack of mounting holes though.
Motorhome installation. 2x 100w installed to go with my 3 previously fitted 100w solar array. Used on curved roof. Packaging of panels was excellent. Plastic corners on outside of box & 25mm thick stiffener in the box. These panels are very flexible over there length. I searched high & low to find a suitable panel that was also narrow & thin (about 2mm thick).
Method of install was 3m ds tape & PU40 Puraflex polyurethane adhesive/sealer.
Had I not already fitted another make of 3 panels I’d have been happy to install these. These panels have an ETFE surface which apart from being hard wearing & non stick are pretty much self cleaning, ETFE basically means the are covered in tiny ‘magnifying beads’ which makes them very efficient to light from all directions. They’re monocrystaline & the off load output in overcast light was 21.9vdc exactly the same as my other panels.
Great product, very easy to install, very nice material and looks sleek on a black roof.
