I needed a running belt which is a light weight but has enough space to carry my phone and several energy gels and salt tabs for my marathon. I have tested many different running belts (with or without adjustable clip and different major brands) and found this flipbelt as my best option.
Ones with adjustable clip hit my back or hip bone with the plastic clip part and it hurt. This flipbelt’s material is very soft but still strechable and won’t irritate my skin when I wear on my bare skin. But it keeps sweat in, so it will be better if the material is breathable and a bit lighter, especially during hot season. But so far this flipbelt is my best option and I am happy with it. Things in the pocket stay put and no bouncing at all. I am 5’2″ and 100 lbs. My waist is 25″. I tried both XS and XXS, but XXS works better for me.
Perfect fit. Doesn’t ride up. Feels snug around my waist I don’t ever worry if it’ll fly up. I have this for a marathon I’m doing but it would be perfect for hiking too.
We bought this for our son with type one diabetes. He’s in elementary school and very active. His little backpack was getting left behind and his pump clip was constantly getting knocked off. This fixed both of those problems. The belt is roomy enough to hold his pump, phone, low stash and more. It hides nicely under his shirt and is comfortable enough for him to sleep in. Based on the size chart, he is a size xxs but we went up one size for a looser fit.
Second flip belt I’ve owned. Fits comfortably around the waist and perfect for being hands free. I’ve used it while running/training for half marathons. I like that my iPhone pro max will fit in the belt and doesn’t move around when I’m running. Runs true to size
I knew that elasticity was going to be a factor, so I pretty much got the smallest size if I remember correctly. I’m a size 30 waist but still bought the smallest. It’s common sense right? You want it to be tighter around you so it doesn’t slip up and down. This is one of the best investments I’ve made for my main form of exercise, which is running. It’s superior to the compression shorts that have a smartphone pocket which has allowed my phone to drop several times. This item completely eliminates that problem for me. You’re not supposed to have a lot of things on you while running; it weighs you down. You’ll have room to put your essentials in this belt and it feels so natural as well as weightless.
I needed a running belt to carry my iPhone 11 & keys that would actually fit me and not bounce up and down. This checks all of the boxes! I’ve been using it for 3 months now, 3 times a week, and It has held its shape with no signs of stretching out. I’m hoping I can get at least a good year out it.
Sizing: I have a 26″ waist and, according to the chart, I should order a Small but I ordered an XS. It was 14″ wide and definitely too big. I returned it and ordered an XXS which is 12.5″ wide and it fits perfectly.
Both of the ones I ordered were made in the U.S.
