I would highly recommend buying one of these. I have bought a few out of the shops but they are no where near as good as these. Excellent value for the money, worth every penny, a lot stronger/better than the shop one’s. I hung it about 4 weeks ago and no problems at all, others tend to have started to fall apart by now. Yes I had to adjust to fit the door frame but that was not a problem. The magnets are stronger and come together a lot better.
This was a little fiddly to put up but that is because my doorway was slightly smaller. Was up in 20 minutes. Looks great and hasn’t been pulled down yet by the teenagers . Would fully recommend
Just what we needed to keep the flies out. Easy to fit. No fuss getting in and out, even the dog isn’t fazed by it.
I am really pleased with this flyscreen. It was easy to install, fits well, I had to make a slight adjustment to the height, but this was easily done. The magnets close the screen really well behind you. It looks nice, I didn’t expect it to be so good for the price. I would recommend this product.
My back door it looks nice and keeps the flys out and insects fly about in the garden keep them all ou
easy to put up and stays in place. My dog can go in and out without problems and it keeps the insects out but lets the breeze i
The insect screen is manufactured from good quality materials and is very robust. Installation is straightforward with easy to follow illustrated instructions but pleating the excess fabric is difficult when mounting to a UPVC door using Velcro. After several attempts I decided to cut the screen down in size and re stitch it on a sewing machine. There is sufficient Velcro included with the screen to go all the way around the door frame which securely holds the screen in place. The end result looks professional, much like a tailor made screen that would cost in excess of 100.00.
We have had this for 2 years now and it’s great. Keeps the flies out and let’s our golden retriever in and out as he wants. Dog has no problem with it, and our 1 year old hangs on it to get outside and it’s stood up to this use fine.
We used the velcro fitting on pvc door. As some people have mentioned it’s taller and wider than the average door, to sort this we hung it higher than the door top and used a stapler to fold the edges over (added a pic of this so people can see). We have noticed that the centre bit sometimes sags, and when this happens the magnets seperate, however we put a stitch in there to keep it in place and have had no issues since.
Overall does what it says and lasts. Expect it will last us a number more years with no problem.
This is a great product but we ended up having to use nails to fix it in place as the small pins that come with it are useless, it kept the flies and bugs out, unfortunately with 7 kids running in and out it didn’t last as long as I was hoping.
I bought this product a year ago so now need to order a new one, it did get a hole through the middle, none of my boys are claiming that as their damage so not sure if it was them or the material just split, I think without the kids coming in and out and hanging off of it, it would have lasted much longe
My door is wider and it fits perfectly Dogs have no problem with it. No flies in from neighbouring allotme
I wish there were different size options as its a bit of a pain to fit to size, bit does the job intended really well
I bought this for our back door and it’s exactly what we needed to stop bugs and the stray cat trying to get in all the time! It is very long though, so I cut it down and glued the ends together with hot glue so the magnets didn’t fall out the bottom. Probably not the way you’re meant to do it, but it worked great for us and it’s stayed up even through really bad weather!
Do not follow instructions and hem at the top of too long-it simply doesn’t sit right to close properly-after days of struggling I let it down and just cut a few inches from the bottom and it works perfectly
We had previously purchased various fly screens for our back door which were all too narrow! Finally found this one which is not only a perfect fit but it’s excellent quality. The ones we had previously bought were very cheaply made and had a grotesque strip of tacky lace on the top!
Very pleased with this one! Easy to put up too
Bought this back in January and just installed it today. We have wooden back door and we followed the steps for wood frame installation, took us about 10 mins, and v pleased, great to let in air but no flies. Their are instructions and magnetic for metal or plastic frames.
Like most people , I love to have my patio doors open in the Summer , and like most people get fed up with the damned flies that enter ! This so far has seemed to have stopped most of them , if not all of them so far . It was pretty easy to install and so far , I’m well pleased with it .
It looks great about the right size for my door. The magnets aren’t the greatest as I’ve found I have to close the screen door behind me. My dog has found it easy to get through. The cat however is still getting used to it. It definitely is keeping the flies and other insects out. Which is the best, as I have a phobia of flies. Highly recommended produc
When I first opened the package I thought we’d been had as it looked just like the well known cheaper products we had bought before. However, it has proved to be far superior to the cheaper versions in terms of durability and maintaining fixation to the door frame. Clear fitting instructions, though the folding procedure for fitting to our narrower than standard doorway was a bit fiddly to get right. The attachment to the door frame and the magnetic opening mechanism have both proved very resilient to usage throughout the summer (have had problems with both of those issues with other products in the past). Also, a perhaps non standard problem we have is a 27kg dog who can jump up and operate the door handle to get in. In the past this has led to the cheaper versions being effectively destroyed (and patch up jobs needed) fairly quickly due to large tears in the netting fabric. Whilst she has managed eventually to cause two small tears in the netting of this product I can certainly confirm that the ‘reinforced’ claim made for this product is valid! The small tears have not run/extended and have not significantly impaired effective functioning.
Very pleased with it and will certainly go back for another of these when a replacement is needed.
Need a screen so we could leave the utility door open for the dog but keep the insects out of the house.
Very easy to install, initially I was going to roll the excess around the curtain pole pictured but instead used the self adhesive Velcro to secure to a painted wall.
Added a small pin to the bottom for added fixing strength.
Little Shih Tsu soon got used to it with a little encouragement and was soon whizzing through it.
The magnetic strips holding it closed do a great job and a never miss a beat.
Recently moved and the bungalow has a conservatory with patio doors. With it being very warm we have had the door open most of the day and we have had lots of flies, wasps and bees inside. I bought this to try and stop this. Since it arrived we have had no invaders! The patio door is quite a bit shorter than a standard door and so needed to shorten both curtains top and bottom quite easily as I’m no seamstress and pleased that it fastens on the outside of the door , very successful.
I love these fly curtains so easy to fit “I am 74 and managed to put them in place without any help” in fact I ordered 2 more curtains this year to go on the wooden back door so had to use the pins provided instead of the vicrose but found it just as easy. I left the original curtain which is on the conservatory door in place and it is still there with 3 big dogs going through it all day long and it hasn’t got damaged at all.
