Not to brag but I got this for my 12 year old son because he loves pirates it says 4-8 years on the box and he completed it in 5 days I’m so proud of him right now!!

great quality puzzle, the heat covered pictures were very fun – takes a little rubbing to show the picture but the 4-yr-old could do it fine. Plus the picture stays uncovered for a long time which is a bonus! very impressed

Birthday present for my 4 year old who loves pirates. He had had lots of fun building this jigsaw with minimum help. Although like previous reviews have said the blacked out pictures take some effort to rub out but overall a great purchase

Nice picture and wasn’t hard for my 4.5 year old. However the magic bits actually take quite a lot of rubbing to reveal the picture. I thought it would just be heat sensitive but you actually have to rub them hard too, which my 4 year old couldn’t do and I genuinely got sore finger tips and having to rub all of them for him each time he wanted to see the image!

Purchased as birthday present for a child. Only downside is that it appears as a top “pirate gift” on amazon he ended up with two.

Gift itself is good- I paid 10.

What a great puzzle..even has special affects on some of the pieces….rub to reveal something..then it’s gone again next time you play you have to rub an reveal again. Jigsaw pieces we’ll made, sturdy good colours.

We bought this for our daughter for her 4th birthday as she loves anything pirate.
The magic spits are fantastic and she absolutely loves doing the puzzle and then finding out what under them when it’s done

This puzzle is fab. We love putting it together and the pieces are sturdy enough that a whole bunch of 5 year olds can do it together. We also love the hot spots and enjoy finding out what’s missing from the picture.

Bought for Grandson who is 4. Good puzzle & quite large for price. Downside – you really have to rub hard on the parts that change in order for them to show up. I had to do this for him as he was unable to make them change by ‘magic’. I would buy again for the puzzle but not the ‘magic ‘ which lets it down.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy child has been playing with it over an year now but still his favourite. He could complete the puzzle on his own from 2yo but took longer and with much more effort than now, 3yo. We use a hair dryer under my supervision and he is ecstatic as he holds the dryer by himself and see what’s turning up.

I liked the chunkiness of the pieces, they are wipable which is handy if you also have younger kids in the house also. The magic spots just need a lot of rubbing fast for a while, rather than rubbing obsessively and overly hard. Not really possible for my 5 year old to do it easily at all. The novelty wore off quickly.

Otherwise an alright Puzzle with a good level of difficulty and challenge.

My 4 year old loves this puzzle. Pieces feel like they have a plastic coating so seem durable.

He finds it a little difficult to run to reveal the picture as you need a lot of pressure but loves it nonetheless

Bought this for my 4 year old nephew who has mastered the Toy Story puzzle, and is pirate mad (‘Arrrr me hearties’ is his usual greeting). Think I have overestimated his puzzling ability (it is aimed at children slightly older) as he didn’t want to attempt it on this visit. Suspect we’ll need to do it together next time he’s here.

I love it. Out of all the puzzles this brand is the best in my opinion. They are durable and very thick so my 3 years old cannot break the pieces. Very nice quality for image. Love i

My little boy loves this puzzle, it has big chunky pieces and seems reasonably moisture resistant (which can be an issue with little ones spilling drinks and food). My only complaint would be that the areas you need to rub to reveal require quite a lot of work even for a parent. It hasn’t affected the enjoyment of the puzzle too much, but we simply don’t bother with the ‘magic’ heat spots.

My Nephew Jack who is 4yrs old received this for an Excellent school report. He loves jigsaw and he loved this one the only complaint was it was hard for him to rub off the heat sensitive Mark’s, it could be made easier for kids to do otherwise it takes the fun out of i
