How Many Pegs?

GardenPrime recommend that 100mm/4 inch pegs are spaced out 10 cm (4 Inch) around the border of your material.

Where fabric is overlapped to form a joint, the pegs should be spaced out in alternative 10 cm (4 inch) intervals at the edge of each overlapping fabric.

Over large areas it is wise to add pegs into the middle of the fabric to secure, with at least 4 pegs per square metre.

Hard Ground

In most conditions, the pegs can be inserted into the ground by hand.

Where the ground is hard a hammer or a mallet can also be used, but should be used to gently tap the pegs into position.Too much force may cause the pegs to bend.

In stoney ground, where the pegs meet resistance, try to re-position the pegs for easier insertion and angle at 45 degrees.
