Be careful…

GardenPrime pegs are sharp, very sharp, so take care when using and ensure that the ends are not exposed where children and wildlife could be harmed

Always take care when using tools in the garden

How Many Pegs?

GardenPrime recommend that 6 inch pegs are spaced out 20 cm (8 Inch) around the border of your material.

Where fabric is overlapped to form a joint, the pegs should be spaced out in alternative 15 cm (6 inch) intervals at the edge of each overlapping fabric.

Over large areas it is wise to add pegs into the middle of the fabric to secure, with at least 2 pegs per square metre.

Hard Ground

In most conditions, the pegs can be inserted into the ground by hand.

Where the ground is hard a hammer or a mallet can also be used, but should be used to gently tap the pegs into position.Too much force may cause the pegs to bend.

In stoney ground, where the pegs meet resistance, try to re-position the pegs for easier insertion and angle at 45 degrees.

Protect Your Green Paint

GardenPrime Half Coated Green Pegs have an extra thick coating of paint to maintain their appearance over the years.

Please take care when installing your pegs to avoid damage. Hammers and mallets can be used, but should be used gently and the paintwork of the pegs should be protected using a cloth or something similar to avoid the paintwork scratching.

Really good spikes, nice and sharp and don`t distort in hard ground. Knocked it down to 4 stars purely because the price is a little high in my book, if that dropped a few quid then it would get 5 stars.

Ideal .strong and perfect for pegging false lawns into base (sand or clay). Wire guage is suitable for multiple substrates/lawn base. Green tops merge well with grass colour and can become ‘invisable’ would also recommend for pinning down weed mats or securing other material (outdoor fleece etc) around plants

Purchased these for two projects, Fake Grass and a Garden Grid layout. I’ve used these for both. They have kept the grass, grids and mesh underneath both down very well and I have no issues with them uplifting from either walking on, or stormy weather. Went in well and I have found no issues with the product at all.

    I recommend this product.

Although our artificial grass installer had pinned our lawn well and it’s been down for a year, I thought it prudent, with 2 x Boxer dogs running around, to add some more anchor points between his pins. These do the job.

These are better than long ones because people who lay artificial grass usually have bad, hard soils etc and the long ones won’t go all the way in. Ok to use. Some bent while trying to use them

Great pins, perfect for staking down my astroturf, yes if they hit a large stone they will bend if you keep hammering, pull it out and adjust position. Would buy again.

Great product, nice and sharp, go in very easy but will bend if you hit a stone, but will straighten up with a bit of force, very pleased with produc

I’ve purchased a few of these, great product and practically invisible due to their green colour, as well as securing my Astro turf, I’ve used a few to secure string led lighting around the lawn !!

They are very good at holding the fake grass carpet. Better then the ones I bought in a shop. The nails are designed to go into the ground easily and hold the carpet in place. I put mine almost a year back and still looks amazing 🙂 thank you

Easy to go into the earth, if I hit a stone that stopped it from going into the ground just move them around till you find a softer spot. Recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWork fine holding my artificial grass down. The green tops work well to hide their position. You could buy a bigger pack for the same money, if you don’t need the green paint. They are sharp, so penetrate the backing and soil easily.

I cut 6 inches of a wooden broom, and carved a groove along the cut end. This worked nicely over the pegs to drive them home.

We bought these to pin down the excess Astro Turf in our newly laid lawn, to protect the actual lawn underneath. The pegs work well and the green colour blends in with the turf. Fast delivery, thank you 🙂

Used these pegs for a customer who wanted a 9×6 piece of astro turf to cover a old veg patch, they were just the job, sharp enough to go through the rubber backing and secure into the sand and soil, plenty in a pack for the price good value for money, I would expect to pay much more from a home store or gardening centre, if you find they won’t go in straight due to hitting a stone or hard ground just push in at an angle which will prob be more secure. Only
Used 16 of them plenty in there for a big lawn, 50 in a pack, grea

Excellent artificial grass pins. If you hit a hard surface under the soil and the pin bends slightly then just remove and restraighten with hands to reuse. I had to cut some pins down but easy to do with cable cutters to suit the grounds.
Preferably use a plastic or rubber mallet to hit the pins as so not to damage the finish coating.
Had to order another box as I didn’t realise how many would be required.

Overall great product. The pins weren’t quite as strong as anticipated so had to trim some down (really easy to do with side cutters) on harder pieces of ground to stop them buckling… Went back for a second pack they’re that good
