It is obviously an excellent product and has great appeal to the birds. But you have to pay for such an appeal and in comparison with similar products it is decidedly more expensive.
Excellent product, most importantly the birds love them, that’s enough for me,top notch service and produc
having previously received other very ancient rockfalls from other suppliers-these were soft enough to eat by all think you
These fat balls have been well received by the bird population in my garden, I’ve never seen so much activity before, and they don’t let very long because of the frantic feeding that starts within a couple of minutes of being out ou
Great quality fatballs, in a sturdy plastic storage container. My wild birds really enjoy them. I’ve tried various brands, but these have been the best by far.
At last, fat balls disappear at a rapid rate both from the dispenser and when scattered on the bird table. Full of seeds, half peanuts and actually look very appetising. Almost tempted myself but then thought better of it! Just re-ordered.
The birds have been ignoring the suet/fat balls I normally buy so decided to try these instead.
Result! Added bonus is there’s no mess as they eat every scrap.
Great product. Arrived quickly, and the birds go mad for them
The birds, squirrels and rats (!!) are all enjoying these. Great value for money
Great product although not cheap, birds can not get enough of them. Will order some more.
I’ve tried many different types of fat ball. They all get eaten, but these seem particularly popular and get eaten more quickly
The black seeds seem to be unpopular with some birds.
We’ve tried a other fat balls in the past and had a few cursory pecks from various birds but usually they’d be there for a while and we’d have to throw them out. We changed to this make and what a difference. The birds love them and whereas we had one or two blue tits before we now have between 10-15. They are good value for money and by the way the birds go through them a quality product. Would highly recommend.
All good delivered on time, this is the second time I have purchased this item as birds love it will certainly buy again if price remains competitive.
The birds absolutely loved these. They were made up of fat, large peanuts and whole sunflower seeds. I wasn’t sure it was such a good idea to feed such big peanuts as the holder I have had some big holes.
I had been buying fat balls from one of those budget stores but was concerned about the actual ingredients as they were rock hard.
The reviews for the Gardman suet fat balls seemed pretty good so decided to give them a try. Well I can hardly keep the feeder topped up with them now. Every day it needs replenished. Previously the cheaper ones were mostly eaten by starlings and magpies and would have lasted several days. Now I have lots of little birds feeding on these suet ones – they just love them and are literally queuing up to get on to the feeder.
Although they are more expensive, it is obvious to me that the quality is there and must be more nutritious. Some reviews mentioned the black sunflower seed waste but I have not noticed those being wasted. I do get a few pigeons in the garden so not sure if it is them or perhaps the magpies, but I don’t see any seeds on the ground during the day.
I’ve had several tubs now and I couldn’t go back to the cheaper version. Not after seeing how the birds enjoy the Gardman ones.
