Rewards, Reminders and Responsibilities
Kids will see just how fun and rewarding household chores can be. With vívofit jr. 2, parents assign chores and schedule alerts from the smartphone app, and kids’ bands show them their new jobs to do. These can be set up to recur weekly or even daily — perfect for children who need reminders. And for youngsters who procrastinate, schedule alerts in the parent app so vívofit jr. 2 reminds them to finish homework, brush their teeth and more. The alert will remind them with an icon what they’re supposed to be doing. Then, the child can start the task timer on the device so they know how long they have left.
Friendly Step Challenges
Friendly competition comes to the playground and the backyard. Toe-to-Toe step challenges let kids sync with nearby friends to challenge each other (one-on-one challenge) — or even themselves — to timed step competitions. Once complete, they’ll see their total number of steps during the challenge and find out if they triumphed over their friends or beat their own personal bests. Your kids can access the app to view results from completed challenges and show off their * victories. Parents can get in on the fun, too. Download the Toe-to-Toe Connect IQ app to a compatible device to challenge your kids to a step competition.
Stay Active Together
Link up with your Garmin Connect friends and family — and even your kid’s playground pals. When you connect with other families in the vívofit jr. app, they can be part of your weekly step challenges. Create custom step and active minute challenges, then invite participants from your list of connexions. You can even leave comments for each other in the app while the challenge is active.

This is a birthday gift for my Spiderman obsessed grandson who is 6. My first grandson got his a couple of years ago and wears his all the time.

The watch is so much simpler than most which is perfect for a kid. My daughter loves that she can achieve goals through the day as she reached certain activity milestones. She is rewarded with awards when she gets to certain amounts of steps etc. The app that you pair with it is easy to use and connect. For the price, go with this over an unknown brand, the quality it good and there are a million different wristbands you can get for it.
My grandsons love the watch. My daughter set it up so her boys do chores and get points. They have learned to tell time and never remove the watch. It also stays on when in pool and any swimming activities. Well worth the price.

The Vivofit Jr 2 is child friendly, easy to use (only one button) and has an attractive colour display. My son is excited to increase his active minutes per day and always come home from school sharing his fitness achievements.
I like that the battery does not need recharging and will last approx. 1 year, much easier than many other trackers that need charging every few days! I also like the watch band style closure so they can’t lose it and the sturdy, waterproof design.
You can view your child’s activity in the Garmin App on your phone and see how they have slept and when/how much they have moved.
You can also set tasks and reminders via chores in the app. This has been an amazing shift of confidence for my son, the alert goes off for a specific task and he accomplishes it on his own, without me asking multiple times. We use it for everything from brushing teeth, reminders to eat lunch, time to tiding up… he loves the independence of everything and I love that I do not need to keep hassling for him to get things done.

My son bought this as he wanted to keep track of his steps. I very impressed, its in excellent condition and works really well. The star wars app is great it really encourages him to get his steps in.
Daily use over the past several months to include a few beach trips… so far holding up great! My 6 year old likes to make the daily activity challenge and even competes for steps through the app with family. It gives a little firework notification when you meet 60 minutes of daily activity. It motivates her to keep active and helps give an idea of if we are being to lazy or not throughout the day. It doesn’t automatically sync with my phone but it’s easy to just push the button and sync that way.

My son absolutely loves this!! He is soon to be 8 and its perfect for him. He loves counting his steps and loves it even more when he reaches his daily goal as he gets fireworks appear on the screen.

He loves it, and it does more than I thought it would. Great for seeing how active he’s been each day and how much sleep he’s had. I can set chores and give reward coins and he saves them up for a treat. Each 60mins activity gets a move on the game on the app too.

I bought this for my 7 yr daughter’s Christmas present and she has not stop playing with it. Telling the time doing the challenges. So excited to have it.
Bought as a gift for my 9 year old. The watch and the app work well together. My only criticism is the screen doesn’t light up and can be hard to read.
My little girl got this for Christmas and loves it was a great gift. I can upload her chores at certain times of the day that an alarm goes off.
Great watch to get the kids interested in time and exercise.
Only grumble is that if you want to add chores, you then need to press a button on their watch to get it synced. It won’t do it automatically even though you get notified through the app if they start any timers.
My daughter loves it. After I got one similar she wanted one too. It’s very much child friendly. And I know get her to do certain jobs, as she earns tokens which she loves. She’ll check her steps every hour or so and compete with me
This is the second one we have bought, one for my son that he still loves a year after getting and now the Minnie one for my daughter and she loves it! The band fits nicely and is comfortable for the kids! We love that we can track how active they are being and their chores. The kids love the incentives on the app.
Perfect for a little girl who wanted a “fitbit” like her mummy. It was “the best gift ever”.
I purchased two of these for my kids. They have been wearing them for about a month now. They haven’t taken them off since getting them. They wear them in the bath and shower. It teaches responsibility with chores and you can give coins for allowances. It has games, and tracks they’re steps. It’s just awesome and I would buy them a hundred times over.
So far we love it. Easy to set up. Stays on small wrists! great motivator to keep kids moving and amazing to see how many steps their little legs take in a day!
