Bought this to cover a patch where the trampoline had been all winter and wow its nicer grass than the lawn I already have so going to purchase more and do the whole lawn it’s thick, strong and a lovely colou
Bought these for a couple of bare patches on my lawn, very slow to sprout and even longer to get established before cutting. Other than that once they are grown they are nice leaves and look like the rest of my lawn.
Used to help fill in grass after winter and where the trampoline was. Before and after pics added. 2/3 weeks after first application and we have a lovely green grass again.
Wasn’t expecting it to grow as quickly as it did, I’d previously put 2 boxes of a different brand seed on the garden and not 1 seed has popped so bought a bag of this and I’ve got grass within 3 days!!! Absolutely cannot fault! Have already got another bag on the way !
Good sized box, the seed seems well presented, now to hope it sprouts!.
Will re-furbish parts of the garden where the inter has damaged the grass.
Will update this..
Update, 3 weeks, instructions followed and added extra seed to ensure it would mgrow, watered and the seed is still visible and not a single blade oif grass.
None, nada, nowt.
4 stars, cos low star reviews are never seen!
1 star waste of money and time.
This was the second time using this product, at the moment the seeds have taken well, I’m happy with the result, I shall purchase another box in Spring just to finish small patches.
The product as described. Seeds started to shoot after five days. They look really healthy. The design of the box assisted evenly spreading of the seeds. Recommend this product for gaps in existing lawns and staring a new one.
We’ve not had much luck re-seeding our patchy lawn in the past but this seed has really worked. I forked the lawn, scattered seed, covered with compost and watered. It looks better than it’s ever looked
I read the user reviews. They are true. I tested this on a patch, put the seed down with a thin layer of soil on top. Watered lightly twice a day. After two and a half weeks there’s half an inch high grass.
This is one of the only grass seeds that will come through without fail! I have 2 bulldogs and it still came up quickly, just be careful with the grass for the first 2 months until its more established
I have had some rubbish over the years 🙂
This stuff works I’ve just bought another box.
Grass already grown within a week!
We have ducks and with all the rain well.. They have done what ducks do best which is dabble their beaks into the grass ripping it up creating mud patches everywhere.
Between them and the dog it’s a wonder I have any grass at all….
I used some compost ontop and litrally threw seeds ontop. Good result very happy will be doing all patches with this 🙂
I had a weedy, nettle covered kinda-lawn with wild grass and all kinds growing in it and I wanted to make it a bit nicer and easier to maintain as simply as possible.
I dug over the soil and flattened it by walking on it, applied the seed to the soil randomly and with no real attention, then watered it.
I did this at the end of May, where it was rather sunny and with little rain and I watered two or three times daily, depending on temperature.
No topsoil or compost of any kind was used and I didn’t use anything along the lines of fertiliser or grass-food type stuff.
I was a bit concerned after the first few days that it was a bit patchy and a lot of the seeds hadn’t germinated but with continued watering I came downstairs each morning to find it thicker.
In the attached photo, the left side was seeded with this product around three weeks ago. The small weeds growing in there will hopefully be eradicated with repeated mowing. Second half of the lawn I’ll seed with another product and compare.
Very happy with this product and it does what it says it will with minimal effort.
Seeing a lot of bad reviews for this grass seed recently. I do wonder how much time and effort people spend to prep properly. Then there’s the aftercare which is just as if not more important – the ground has to be watered at least once, preferably twice a day especially in warm weather. People just throw this stuff down with no prep, no water and in blazing sun and complain that it doesn’t work.
I have no complaints with this grass seed first photo is immediately after seeding, second is 1 week later. Watered twice a day for the first 2 weeks and the third photo is the 2 week mark. Fourth photo is after 3 weeks and now watering just once a day getting ready for the first cut when we hit 6-7cm.
Some patches which I hope will fill in when it thickens up otherwise I will overseed either when some heavy rain is due this summer or will wait to Autumn. Also started weeding the area too as some are starting to sprout.
I bought the seed after having removed moss from the lawn leaving large bare patches of soil. Followed the instructions on timing, added 22nd of top soil and then spread the seed as instructed. First sign of shoots after 5-6 days and now several weeks on the grass is growing very quickly and a lush new lawn is visible. The weather conditions were also perfect, rain-sun-rain-sun etc!
So followed all instructions on a bed of fine top soil and the pictures shows the result after 4 weeks of April 2023. What has grown is fine but it is very patchy, with what has not grown. Seems like the blue colour seeds have germinated but lots of husks and seeds in the patches not done anything. Will give it a bit longer then either over seed with different seed or just turf it. Bit disappointing. But as an update 7 weeks on, bit of sun and heat and it’s looking good. See last photo so maybe just be patie
I had alot of moss in the front garden. Spent time dethatching it using a scarifier, this removed moss and thatch (dead grass leafs). Seeded as suggested via the pack usings a hand spreader and watered it. Couple of weeks later full lush grass leaves on currently lawn and fresh new soil and still good now.
People having issues may be due to not preparing correctly. I used a moss killer and feeder a week before, moss went black I then scarified. Scarifying is vital to allow grass to have a contact with soil and allow the rest of the lawn to breath basically.
