This is good fun – we have teenage children so it’s a game that we can all enjoy on family occasions

We had such a great laugh with our friends playing this at Christmas. 2 teams of three, we won! Easy to learn but need to whisper within the team or write notes down and pass between you.

This is becoming a favourite in our house. It’s a lot of fun. The facts on the cards always leave us googling.
We do however adapt the rules a bit depending on how many people are playing

Played with family members over Christmas, really gets you thinking and guessing but you also learn facts at the same time. Age range was 17-53, 6 players.

Gullible was played on Boxing Day by our family of eight and it was a very engaging game. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Bought this as a new game for the family at Christmas and it has been well used and has cemented itself as one of our favourite games and we have a few.
Love the quality of the cards and the chip counters as well as the totally random trivia that is used.
Only things I would change is the amount of pads supplied as we have smashed 2/3 of both of them with the amount that we’ve played them and the fact that is unavailable to buy as I was going to buy another as a present!

    Well worth the money!

We played at Christmas, so much fun and stimulates some interesting conversations. Whoever made this game must have had a lot of fun with their research!
The longer game rule (opponent team gets half the other team’s lost tokens) is more fun as the game can be over quite quickly otherwise.

Was looking for a new game to add to our family collection. This was chosen for its simplicity, no complicated rules, can play with two or with larger groups. It was great fun and caused hilarity as well as brought out a competitive nature in certain people! Liked that you have several different packs of cards and you open next after finishing last. So you don’t shuffle the cards and have same questions coming up over and over.

Older family members gave it between 9-10 out of 10. The 18 year old gave it 10/10 and 20 yr old 9/10, but said it would have been 10/10 if real shaped chips were used.

A great take on the “two truths and a lie” game. Players get a fact and then have to make up two lies. The opposing player has to guess the truth, but in a brilliant twist they get chips to bet on the answers. So if you’re not sure, you can choose more than one answer. It can be played with any number of people- either teams or individuals. 3 of us played – 2 vs 1 – and it was really fun trying to come up with lies as a team. Brilliant value for money.

very glad we ordered this game. We play this regularly with our 12 and 9 year old boys. Think our 3 year old is still a little too young for this. The rules of play are easy to pick up and doesn’t take long. There are 6 packs of cards so im sure this will last us quite some time! definitely recommend

We really like this game. It’s a different style of game for us and can be played with kids and adults. I’d say 8/9 is the youngest to play properly with. You get a card with a ridiculous fact on it and some paper with three spaces to write on, you read the fact on the card then in any order write down the fact with two more made up games at to throw them off the scent. The others then wager on which answer is true and win or lose chips.

A very simple premise and really quick to get into. We have even played it looking at random facts on Google and making some up when travelling in the family wagon.

It’s a great game and there really are some truly and frankly worrying true facts about the world.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’m always looking for new games to play when visiting my family, and this one is perfect.

The rules are simple and easy to learn, and the set up of the games makes it even more straight forward.

All you need to do is use your own creativity and come up with some alternative answers thar are wild but convincing.
Use the scenario card and the true answer you are told, and add 2 of your own equally bizarre answers. Then convince the other players that one of your answers Is the correct one.

There are also some chips included which you can put against the answers you believe to be true, and try not to lose all of your chips by ensuring you choose the correct answer and not the ones made up by your opponent.

This is a great idea for a game to play at games night with family and friends. Loads of fun, I highly recommend it.

The instructions are clear to understand, only taking a couple of minutes to read through. The team that loses is the team that loses all their chips to the box, but the game can be made longer by giving half to the opposing team. The chip circles pop out quickly and cleanly, and then it was the case of unwrapping deck one. One thing I do like is that the game doesn’t take up much space and can be easily played on the sofa or at the table.

The game was filled with laughs, surprises and educational content. We even went on to research some of them further. There’s not too much waiting around either as both teams work on their answers at the same time. This stopped any boredom from creeping in. I played three games through and there were still loads of cards left in deck one. One thing I can say, is go with your instincts and not your logic. I may have won the last game if I had. Overall, a great game and I will be playing again.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersMy husband and I played this game (our children are a bit young for it) and there was much giggling!

It’s easier than I thought it would be at first, you each have a pencil and a pad of answer papers, and take a card (without letting the other person see what’s on your card). Then you write down the answer that’s written on your card, along with two other answers that seem plausible. Whoever finishes writing first gets to ask the other person their question first, and gives them the paper with the three answers on. The person answering the question then puts their chips on the answer they think is correct – all the chips have to be used, but they can put more on the answer they think is most likely to be correct, or hedge their bets and spread them across all the answers. My husband put all his chips on the two more likely answers in the photo above, but it turned out the most unlikely answer was the true one, so he lost all his chips (you only keep the ones that are put on the correct answer), so basically I won! Hehe

I think the game worked really well with just the two of us, but it can be played as a team game – you would have to be able to sit far enough apart from the other team though for each side to not be able to hear the other one when you’re discussing what the alternative questions should be.

It’s a nicely presented game, perhaps slightly more expensive (at 19.99) than I would have expected, but we really enjoyed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, imaginative game

We had a blast playing this at our weekly family games night. The game we found very easy to pick up in terms of gameplay and it’s very simple and a lot of fun! We didn’t have any issues working anything out and I like that the game is really engaging. The game itself is well designed and I like that it’s strong, sturdy and durable. It’s easy to set up and put away when finished and I can’t fault it at all. I feel it’s great for both adults and kids and I like the illustrations on the game. I think the value for money is excellent and I highly recommend it. It’s also really giftable in my opinion and would make a great present for someone. It gets a huge thumbs up from me!

This game was so much fun and a giggle to play. It comes with two pencils, two books, about 6 different sets of cards and two set-off chips. The aim of the game is to guess what’s on the card of your opposition on the cards you are given an question then the answer but you have to write two lies and the correct answer down. The opposite team then use there coins to bet which is the correct answer but if they guess wrong then the lose the coins. Its a game of belief and how gullible you can be. Rounds of games can be over very quickly depending on how many coins you uses on a incorrect answer but it’s a very fun game and even our 9yr old joined in with us. Good for some family fun can be gifted.

This game is great fun and can either be picked up for a quick laugh or played for hours. It basically tests how good of a liar you are and how well you are able to pick up on other people’s lies

The game is played with a minimum of 2 players but is perfectly suitable for more players if you split into 2 groups and take turns. Each team picks a card which will have an obscure question which is almost guaranteed to stump the opposing team. Your team must then write the correct answer as well as 2 fake answers onto the supplied pad with the intention to make the opposing team pick the wrong answer. Sometimes, the correct answer is so crazy that it’s not too hard to throw the other team off just by writing what sounds like the obvious (but isn’t) answer.

There are loads of question cards so plenty of games to be had. You could even use your own questions if you wanted.

    Definitely recommended

Iv played this a few times now with different groups of people of different ages. It has been a hit with everyone.
Lots of laughs were had, some at silly answers, some at disbelief at the correct answer.
Each team has a card with a random fact, you have to write the answer to that fact on your booklet, with two other answers you have made up.
You start out with a set amount of chips, you then have to bet all your chips on the 3 answers, you can spread your chips across all answers or if your feeling confident, just the one answer.
However once the answers are revealed, any chips on wrong answers are lost.
So sometimes even the silliest answer is worth putting one or two chips on.
The people iv played with range from 13 to 40.
This is definitely a fun game for most of the family.
younger kids might struggle to invent their own answers.
Overall im very happy with this game and see it making a regular appearance at game nigh

This game is brilliant, its easy to pick up and as long as you can write, you are on with a chance of winning as the facts are really unusual! A game you can play in a short amount of time (most tokens wins) or keep going. Played with friends who do game night and they liked it. 2 plus players (they put up to 10 players, 5 a side). Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs a family, we like games that are easy to play, don’t drag on forever and provide a few good laughs. Gullible fits the bill perfectly – it’s definitely our new favourite game for getting some good laughs!

Essentially this is a game about bluffing or just down right fibbing your way to victory. The game consists of 6 packs of question cards, pencils, 2 answer pads and tokens of 2 different colours. There are full, easy to understand instructions – it takes just a few minutes to learn!

You can play with just 2 players, or split players into 2 teams. Each player/team picks a card – the cards all feature a pretty obscure question and the correct answer to the question. Each player/team then writes down the correct answer to the question on the answer pad along with 2 fictional answers.
Once this is done, the questions are read out to each player/team by the other, along with the answers. Each player/team bets tokens against each answer being the correct one. They have to use all their tokens each round and these can be spread against all 3 answers or placed on just one. Once the correct answer is read out, any tokens placed against the wrong answers are lost!
This continues until one side has lost all their tokens.

This really is so much fun to play. Some of the questions are so obscure that the answers created can be absolutely hilarious!

We played this with the entire family, including my 7 year old daughter who came up with some rather funny and impressive fake answers to some of the questions.

It’s a great game for the entire family. If you’re looking for an easy to play game that will provide some good laughs, then this is definitely for you.

When I came across this board game, I was very intrigued. I hadn’t heard of this game before, but the cover and name got me interested. When it arrived, I was really impressed. The game box is really stunning, and seems like a really good quality box.

I was curious about the game itself, as I hadn’t heard of another game like this before. The premise is a little similar to the premise of BBCs “Would I lie to you” and it’s game round of “True or False”. In Gullible, players will have a fact and the correct answer, and then the players have to invent two ‘lies’and try to trick other players into believing their made up answers over the correct answer. Players use the chips to bet on what they think is the real answer.

It’s a very original idea, and the game itself is very adaptable to age (it suggests 12 and up) and also it’s a game you could play for hours or just a quick few rounds. Would be great for a christmas or birthday gift!

Similar to that round in Richard Osman’s House of Games, the aim of the game here is to make up two alternative answers to what’s on the card and to try and get the opposing team to guess one of yours rather than the single correct answer. Really easy to pick up and play, lots of fun and laughter to be had, and also keeps the brain active as you try and come up with ways to fool your opponents.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m always slightly wary of getting a new board game because we’ve been caught out with some horrific ones in the past, thinking they’d be great – but this one is super fun.

I played against my husband and it turns out we are both quite astonishing at lying, so perhaps we ought to confront that at some point…

The basic premise is simple: on each card is one truth in answer to a question. You write down the true answer on the notepad provided and then two lies. Swap with the other team and then, using little discs with chips drawn on them, you place your bets as to which is the most likely answer. You have to bet everything and any chips on the wrong guess are lost. Winner is the one who still has chips at the end.

There are a good number of question cards and the box itself is sturdy and has a nostalgic feel to it in design. Seagulls loving chips is so unbelievably British (although I did see two fighting over a garden gnome in a bin once, so there’s always an exception), so that little design element on the betting discs is cool.

Even when you’ve used up all the questions, the game still has longevity because you can use the cards for fiendishly hard quiz games – that said, you’ll be a good while before you use up all 6 stacks of cards provided.

An excellent game, thoroughly recommended and will feature heavily this Christmas as the predicted rolling blackouts inevitably hit just as the TV goes on.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis game is very well designed and thought out, light-hearted and entertaining! It encourages team strategy and cooperation. Gullible is very easy to pick up and play, I played it with a group of people who’d never played it before and we all picked it up very quickly. Despite it’s “simple” and clean design, it has significant depth to it and we found ourselves bluffing and inventing new ways of tricking the other team into picking the wrong answer.
The game is equally suited to those on a tight schedule as for a longer session, as a round lasted anything from a few minutes to twenty.
    Highly recommended!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe discovered this game at a board game festival. Immediately struck by how much fun it was. We play it whilst waiting for other, longer games to finish at our board game club because as long as between two people or a hundred are playing, you’ve got a game. We’ve played it with experienced gamers and casual players too and we’ve had great fun every time. As long as you have an imagination, you’ll have great fun with this.
