Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt’s taken a while for me to get used to putting this on and off him, a bit fiddly and needs to be adjusted each time. On the bright side, seems well made and he hasn’t managed to get out of it.
We had a harness with the front and back rings before so used to that part. It certainly helps with dogs that have a tendency to pull!
The last harness rubbed under him, leaving a bald patch, this one shouldn’t rub in the same place and hooks under each leg instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far he hasn’t managed to escape it!

Excellent, does exactly what was needed, I have a dog that now walks more calmly and is not stressed by the urge to pull, I am also able to enjoy the walks instead of battling against my Rhodesian Ridgeback strength

This has been a revelation. Our previous dog never pulled so there was never a need to use one. Our new pup is like a steam train so needed something to enable me as the main carer to walk her. I know this has a great reputation and I literally cannot believe how it has solved my problem in a day. Comfortable and east to put on,Our pup is a Shar-Pei and they’re not keen on things that go over their heads but she has tolerated this really well. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis harness helps bouncy and pulling dogs learn to walk nicely, and gives the walkers a break from being pulled. I have the same harness in different sizes for my own very big strong enthusiastic dog, and a small but insanely strong for the size foster dog. These harnesses are excellent (especially if you use the front ring), at helping you control excitable and pulling pups. They are great to teach them to heel as well.A really cool feature is that they have padded bits under the armpits too, so they are taught by gentle comfortable pressure in a safe place. Comfy, and no danger of harming their throats like a normal collar or any other thing that goes round their neck. Harnesses are great, and this particular harness is excellent.

Not convinced this works, but maybe it’s us, so I won’t be too judgemental. Now it just hangs in the dogs cupboard gathering dust. Not cheap for a dust gatherer.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have a one year old dalmatian and I have literally tried every collar and harness there is to stop him pulling.
I can honestly say this is an absolute life saver, a total game changer to our walks and I can actually enjoy walking him now instead of being stressed.
Amazing thank you so much Halti I would 100% recommend this harness to anyone who has a strong dog who pulls, one very happy dog owne

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI got this for my lab who doesn’t really pull, but it means I don’t have to carry a lead when we get to the field and I want to let him run, I can just let go.

However I also have a collie who pulls terribly, and I used this on him as his harness was wet and it was like walking a different dog. It’s safe to say I’m going to buy another!

    Strongly recommend!

Got this for my bulldog and it had worked the best so far out if all other options I have tried. I have tried some of the other harnesses and double harness but this was the only one that seemed to assist me without relying on my strength to hold her alone. She walks really well until we meet another dog who she wants to say hello to and this has been the only harness that I can hold her back without being pulling over with her! Some people found it hard to put on but once you know how it works it is easy

The only criticism I can give is it dangles too far down when you let them off and at one point it wrapped around his leg when he was swimming, even though we had tied it up. He doesn’t pull with this on and it doesn’t restrict the shoulder at all. You can attach another lead to the front but we don’t bother. Easy to put on, easy to take off. Doesn’t rub but the padding for the underarms does move to a place where there’s no point it being.

Tried 3 different harnesses for our lab puppy who is a puller. This was the 4th and has completely transformed her during walks. When she goes to pull she immediately stops herself and walks nicely. Used with the halti training lead clipped onto chest and back loops

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWow what can I say, my dog is a big girl at a year old and still growing. The difference after one walk with this harness has made walking 2 dogs so much better. Will definitely recommend this to anyone who has a dog that pulls like a tank. Thank you for making walks so much more enjoyable

Cannot believe the change . This is the first time using . I was finding it hard taking both dogs for a walk as all my lab did was pull me .
She literally would pull me over . This lead is a game changer . Would recommend

I’ve 4 dogs, one is super strong. (Pressa canerio.) She’s big. I’ve tried everything I can’t walk them together coz she’s the strong one. WOW! ITS AMAZING
It’s not nasty to the dog,I don’t understand how it works but it does. I love it. Buy buy buy. You’ll have to get a short lead to go with it but that’s all

I’ve tried soo many harnesses which has cost a small fortune. This hands down has been best so far for slowing her pulling. Though if she wants to pull after something I don’t think anything will stop her apart from more training. Unfortunately with frequent use the straps have frayed which makes it a bit tricky to secure and I’m outside the return window but I would buy another one.

My 3 year old golden Lab still thinks she’s a puppy and pulls a lot. As you can imagine, it is very painful for my shoulders. Tried this for the first time tonight with the double lead and I can already notice a big difference. For the first time in a while she didn’t pull as much and it was a much better walk. Definitely recommend for over excited dogs!!

This has really helped to reduce our very enthusiast dog’s pulling. Easy to use a bit fiddly adjusting the catch on the back when our dog so excited to go for a walk that she can’t keep still but otherwise a good produc

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt’s a good product but probably best for short haired dogs. Ours isn’t and her coat between top of her front legs and body matted very quickly. What we don’t need is more daily grooming! For the few times it was used it kept her on the straight and narrow and that was with just the one lead.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWe have a bully XL cross and he is very powerful. This harness used with a short elasticated lead, really does take the power from his pulling.
I’m not sure if it was out there for this but when I take my dog off his lead, I tuck the connector into the elastic on top of the harness (see pic) . If I didn’t the dog would whip himself

4.0 out of 5 stars Works really well

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersThis harness doesn’t stop the pulling but it does reduce it.

I was looking for a harness to help my feral 7 month,14kg pup stop pulling. I walk my 5kg dog and pup together and I was just so fed up with being dragged and my little dog being dragged with me. I just felt so disheveled and exhausted after I walked him. I trained my 52kg Akita and she was a handful at first, but this boy is just relentless.

I already had a “no pull harness” (and I say that loosely) but it just wasn’t cutting it, so I jumped on amazon to see what i could find.

I came across the halti harness and thought that may do the trick. I looked at others but they were more of a string type and we feared that those harness would cut into his armpits.

I measured my pup, looked on the halti harness diagram and choose the harness size to suit him, which was medium and it fits perfectly.

The first time that I put it on my pup, he turned to me and gave me a look to say ‘what’s going on?”, he wasn’t overly impressed but carried on trying to pull but not getting as far as he did when he wore his previous harness. As a bonus I now feel that my arm is not going to be ripped out of it’s socket everytime i take him for a walk.

We originally wanted to change his harness, from the ones that go over the head and clip both sides of the body, as with this type of harness when he was pulling the front of it kept riding up to his throat and putting pressure on it, plus it didn’t stop him pulling. With the halti harness it sits comfortably in the right place. It also has a soft tube (although it moves) that covers the straps going under the armpits. The glider can be a bit fiddly/frustrating, especially when you have an impatient pup, but the straps are nice, thick and sturdy and do not cut into him.

It has a clip at the front and one on the top and also a little grasp finger hoop (well I think that’s what it is??) It has a padded chest piece and the quality is nice.

When we go out for a walk we put his training halti lead on, when we get to the field we put his 10m flexi lead on to let him have a run. We were concerned that it would hurt him when he got to the end of the 10 metres which he usually does as full speed, but seems absolutely fine with it and carries on chasing and playing with his sister.

On the walk back, I put back on his halti lead, but instead of having it in my hand I put it across my body, wearing it on the opposite shoulder to the side my pup is on and I clip both clips to the top of the harness. This is when training him becomes easier, I have a hand free to give him treats, he is tired from a run (more likely to listen) and it’s a bit harder for him to pull a (–)kg person, so he’s right by my side, obviously I stop with him when he wants to sniff, etc. It makes a more of a pleasurable walk.

To help with his loose lead/stop pulling training, I do try and wear him out with a flirt pole in the garden for around 10 minutes, this helps him concentrate a bit more and we also use threshold training with him before a walk, for him to have a calmer state of mind.

Time will tell with his training, but this harness gets a thumbs/paws up
