Features
Toddlers aged 12 months and up will love hammering at the wooden balls, which then drop down onto the xylophone to make different sounds on the colourful keys, before rolling away.
The Tap-Along Tambourine isn’t just a fun way for toddlers to learn about rhythm and timing, it also encourages physical movement and hand-eye coordination.
The Mighty Megaphone is a high-quality, battery-free, musical toy that echoes your toddler’s voice. It helps them understand how to project their voice and to express themselves creatively while role-playing.
The keyboard has four instrument sounds (piano, bass, organ and drum), and it comes with a music booklet with eight different songs, as well as musical alphabet stickers to put on the piano keys to help children learn the songs.
Lovely toy which made for a delightful gift for my niece. I was, however, surprised to find a DPD delivery van outside in lieu of the usual Amazon vehicle! I’d ordered this using Prime, so as to ensure that I would have it in time for my niece’s birthday, however, the driver knocked briefly on the door and almost walked off with my parcel, had I not swiftly gotten dressed and rushed to the door before he’d had a chance to take off completely! This is a reoccurring problem with DPD and the reason why I would much rather order items via Amazon Prime. How odd that they are now using DPD!
Bought one of these for my 18 month old grandson, he loved it and I was so pleased with it that I bought more for other toddlers who were equally delighted with i
My 10 month old loves this toy! He’s had it for around 4 weeks now and still, his eyes light up when I get it out for play time. A reallt great alternative to loud plastic toys, so much so I have asked family to stick to wooden toys for Christmas this year. Cant wait to spoil my boy with the entire Hape range!
Bought for 14 month boy, loved the box more than the toy to start with but gave us a chance to check it. Nice and smooth, no sharp or rough edges, lovely bright colours, balls too big to go in the mouth. May be a little young to use the hammer but was able to copy us pushing the balls through with his hand. It was the first thing he went to play with the following day. Only complaint is the cord connecting the stick to the xylophone is a bit short (probably for safety reason) so he just thinks it’s something to pick it up and swing it about with. But he has worked out he can play it using the hammer! Great fun.
This is a really wonderful toy. Well made, wooden, multiple ways to play with it. Our 6m old is very intrigued by the xylophone sounds, but cant quite work it yet. We like that it’s not an annoying sound.
He loves to pick up the wooden balls in his hands, and to put the hammer in his mouth. He is just learning how to push the balls through the holes so that they land on the xylophone below. It will keep him entertained for many more months I’m sure!
I loved how well made this toy was. It was a perfect gift for my baby’s first birthday present. She loves the bright colours and has enjoyed playing with it so far. Would recommend
Bought as a birthday present for my 1 year old niece. I didn’t unbox it before wrapping but it seemed sturdy. My daughter helped to choose it as she liked the colours and design. Well priced in my opinion.
Fantastic toy, much loved by the 19 month old who received it for Christmas. She quickly figured out she could push the balls through the holes without hammering but it’s still great fun. Lovely sound and balls can be used with the Hape Roller Derby too.
I have bought this for my own child as well as a gift for two others. It is sturdy and really well made. When cleaning the product the paint does not come off.
This is one of the best toys we have. My son has loved it since he was about 8 months old. He loves sliding the xylophone in and out as well as playing it!
We bought this for our son for Christmas and he wasn’t too bothered with it (at 10 months) but now at 15 months old he loves putting the balls through the holes and hitting things (mainly not the xylophone) with the hammer. Yes the xylophone is out of tune but he’s 1 so we’re not expecting Beethoven. Brightly coloured, well made and lots to do with it, would recommend.
I purchased this after spotting it at a friend’s house. My daughter who had just turned 1 absolutely loves it and it is her go to toy at the minute. Definitely recommend!
My 12 mth old absolutely loves this and can tap the balls through easily to play the tune in the xylophone below. He is able to remove the xylophone and play with that separately. It’s one of the first toys he goes for each day once it’s been tidied away the night before very pleased with this purchase
Would get 5 stars if each note was clearer when struck and if the hammer was made of wood and not plastic. It also doesn’t have a home to store the hammer so I imagine this will get lost. Otherwise good and my son actually prefers to play with the balls and the holes currently (he is 9 months)
Fantastic quality. My very strong baby smashes it every day because that’s how he plays and he loves it. No sharp edges but it is wood so not the lightest if you have a very young or weak baby.
Like the concept and it works well. my daughter enjoys it. only thing that bothers me is that the first note (c) is out of tune, which is ok ish when little one is just banging around, but makes trying to play a song for her sound horrible.
It’s great. My 10 month old loves it. That definitely a toy that will last. Someone said in a review that it’s not tune, and I thing it might just be a defect because ours are perfectly tune. I recommend it.
Our daughter loved playing with this toy at a friend’s house so we decided to get her her own. I wish the angle of the xylophone was slightly steeper as the balls sometimes get stuck but otherwise it’s a lovely toy and makes a nice sound. My OH put one of the balls in the dishwasher which took all the glossy paint off it, so don’t do that! Should you loose or need to replace any of the balls, we found Grimms Giant Wooden Marbles work well (though they have a matt finish).
Brought for my son for his first birthday as he loves making noise. Massive hit and he loves it, doesn’t quite understand to hit the balls through yet. But you can take the xylophone out to play seperately which he loves. My 4 year old also likes playing with it!
My daughter loves this toy, which is all that counts! Yes, the tuning is off, which makes playing actual tunes a little comical but hey, I didn’t buy it for me and I don’t think that my 16 month old cares too much!
Lovely well made and colourful toy, my granddaughter loves it, she finds it easy enough to get the balls to drop through without too much hammering (thankfully) and the xylophone makes a pleasant sound (thankfully).
Very usefull toy for baby development. I bought it when my little one was 9.5 months and he learnt very quickly how to put the cicles in the holes and straight after began to put different things in a container and not only take it out.
Nice solid toy, had it a little while now and only issue is where to put the hammer when not in use. At the moment I put through the handle that you use to pull out the xylophone with.
I bought this toy as a Christmas present & it was a huge success.
It had a solid appearance & looked as though it should take the sort of treatment you can expect from a one year old!
Quality materials, lovely bright colours & great sound.
Well worth the price, very happy customer!
I bought this for our 9 month old but our 3 year old loves it equally as much. It makes a lovely sound as the ball rolls over the musical keys but you do have to whack the balls quite hard which spoils it a bit. On the plus side the wooden panel with the keys on can be removed and our youngest loves hitting them with anything he can get hold of. a good quality toy that so far we haven’t been disappointed with
My little boy loves this toy, and has used it quite a lot. It is a little overpriced though – it should probably be around 15 – 20 max. And despite the notes not being tuned to the diatonic scale, you can still play some cool songs with it. In fact, the first time I played “The wheels on the bus” on it, my little boy was in hysterics because he could hear that some of the notes were slightly out (a bit more minor than usual). I don’t think this really effects the usefulness of the toy though. It still encourages my child to make sounds, and he often brings me the xlyphone and hammer and asks me to play various tunes. He also loves to bash the balls through the top, and uses the bench as a step, so it’s very sturdy and can take a strong beating! Overall I am please with this purchase, though I did um and aah over the price.
